So. Delicious. I’ve never had crumpets before but man if all crumpets are like this I need to start learning how to make my own. But even then they’ll never be this good. I’ve tried the Vermont(maple butter with cream cheese and walnuts) and the Lemon Curd and Ricotta one so far and both of them were phenomenal. The sign next to the Vermont says it will«change your life» and I’m not going to lie it almost did. This is an amazing treat with your afternoon tea or coffee or even an amazing dessert after dinner or even an amazing midnight snack — in fact it’s just generally amazing. The toppings on both work perfectly with the crumpet and it’s perfectly sweet without being too sweet. Normally I don’t go places more than once when I’m some place new because I want to try new places, but I came here THREETIMES in one weekend. I’m not kidding. Once on Saturday, and then twice on Sunday after I realized they wouldn’t be open on Memorial day. Each time I split a crumpet with my boyfriend so don’t judge. I’m actually really glad I live more than a half mile walk away otherwise I would probably come here every day. If you have not tried this place and these crumpets drop whatever you are doing and go go go!

Crumpets are like waffles, only spongier and tastier. Add butter, and everything is better :) What a quirky little place, and what mouth watering flavours! Order at least 3. One sweet, one savory(salmon spread is delish) and one eggo(green eggs have pesto in them). Add loose-leaf tea or coffee to the mix, and you’ll never want to leave. Tiny place, crowded, long lines, but WORTH every minute of wait.

The Crumpet Shop was on our list of places to eat at Pike’s so we went by for breakfast. We arrived at the perfect time, there were a few patrons in front of us but the line quickly grew behind us just as it was our turn to put in an order. At the shop, they offer multiple types of savory crumpets as well as sweet. We decided to go with a sweet one — the maple butter with cream cheese & walnuts. I really liked this choice because the maple butter was super sweet(a little bit too sweet for my liking), but the cream cheese & walnuts offset it by adding a little bit of a salty, neutral taste. The crumpet itself was soft and fluffy. I think it would have been very enjoyable with just a bit of butter. While we didn’t return here on this trip, I would recommend this shop to others. I would also be likely to return here in the future and give the savory options a try!

I was skeptical about this place as I’ve never heard of a crumpet, but apparently it’s a dish to go with teas. Although my friends and I were still very bloated from all the eating, we ran into a sign for The Crumpet Shop, which was on my list. We decided to go anyways and share one order for the three of us. I ordered the Vermont«life changer» with cream cheese, maple butter, and walnuts($ 5.50). Although it didn’t change my life, it did come quite close. I definitely have a newfound joy in crumpets. It’s a soft and fluffy hybrid of a biscuit and pancake. A layer of smooth cream cheese is smothered on top with a drizzle of maple syrup and walnut toppings. The actual crumpet was pretty difficult to cut into, but easy to chew. I really liked the sweetness of the maple paired with the lighter taste of cream cheese. I wish I wasn’t so full, but would love to come back again one day to try the other flavors. Even so, I would come back for only the Vermont crumpet as well!

The 5 stars can truly only go to the lemon curd crumpet I got this Saturday morning. The line was definitely long but lover quickly so don’t let this turn you away. The lemon curd was perfection just the perfect amount of creamy, tart, and sweet all in one bite! I’ll definitely be back when in town :)

4 stars! I love crumpets and really had them for the first time in Seattle. They are really one of the two places in Seattle I know that offer crumpets and, judging by a constant large crowd who frequents this place, they do seem to win over their local/touristy fans. I have been here a few times and both my SO and I had always gone for their savory crumpets(be them with cheese, smoke salmon or pesto)…and they are always yummy! The crumpets themselves aren’t so big(and the prices are still affordable) so they don’t leave you too full. It’s good for a quick breakfast/snack, but if you are full on hungry, this probably isn’t a place to go to(or else, you may have to eat a few crumpets to fill you up). The lines here seem perpetually long and because of the small store, seatings seem harder to come by. Luckily, the crumpets are small enough and can easily be held by hand… so you can always take them out to eat while you are on your way to Pike Place Market instead. I would not hesitate coming back here for a quick light meal again for sure(bonus point if you happen to stop by here at one of those rare times that there was no waiting queue!).

I really wish we could have stopped by here more than once during our trip to Seattle. We came in late on a Monday morning to find only one person ahead of us. score! We ordered the tomato, pesto and parmesan crumpet, the Vermont, a London fog, and a hazelnut latte. There is a little window where you can watch them bake the crumpets and teas and coffee are also made right in front. Everything tasted amazing! I could have probably ate another crumpet because they were that delicious! My only regret is not getting my own London Fog. Should you ever find yourself near The Crumpet Shop, please do yourself a favor and grab some of their deliciousness!

The wait is long and the line barely moves. I had to walk back to the hotel on 6th ave to get my wallet so my hubby waited in line for me. By the time I went there and back, he had just ordered; granted I walk pretty fast but still, it took forever. The crumpet itself is fresh, crispy on the bottom. It wasn’t warm though. The lemon curd and ricotta on top was tasty; I was concerned I wouldn’t like the ricotta on top but it paired very well with the lemon curd. Overall this place was good but didn’t blow me away and for the wait I expected more.

This is a great little breakfast spot! I wish it was across the street from me! Their coffee and tea was quite tasty and you must get a Vermont Crumpet as a dessert crumpet, like you must! I also had the pesto and ricotta cheese and loved it just as equally. Cute little spot with very friendly staff, reasonable prices, and free ice water.

Honestly my husband and I have heard of a crumpet but didn’t really know what it was. So while walking around at the Pike Place Market we came across the sign and decided to stop by and give it a try. It was a small line but nothing serious. They have many options to pick from, but since my husband can be picky we stuck to the basics. We ordered a crumpet with Maple Butter. Needless to say it was pretty good. It was toasted and spread with a think maple butter. The butter melted down into the crumpet and it was just that much better. We shared one small crumpet as we were walking around just«taste testing» at the market. We also didn’t know if we were going to like it. It tasted like a sweet waffle with a nice little crunch. It was very tasty. While it’s not something I would just randomly want or even think to ask for on an all the time basis, it was good for a first time try. The crumpet shop also makes good crumpets. Overall, the crumpet was good and I would suggest at least trying it once even if you don’t fall in love with crumpets in general. If you have had crumpets and like and/or love them, then this is definitely the place for you. Very good!

If anything, maybe 3.5 stars for this place. We decided to try something different for breakfast. Something light, too, because we knew we would be stuffing our faces the rest of the day. It was our first time trying crumpets. Very similar to English muffins. Idk if crumpets are just a fancier term for English muffins lol. The place is very extremely small. You have to look for open seating and swoop on it. The morning we went there, there was a party of 4 who had already finished eating, but continued to carry their conversation in the place, knowing damn well how limited the seating was. You bus your own tables. From what I remember, it was a bit pricey for what you actually order. I probably would pick a different thing for breakfast next time when in Seattle, but nothing wrong with this place. Just not my style, I guess haha. What we got right about this place was having a light breakfast haha.

We came here because of the great reviews, but some things bothered us, but that’s to be said about the area, since seating is limited, but here’s a breakdown of our experience. Food: –Crumpets, we enjoyed it since my family has never had a crumpet before, so it kind of gave it a novelty experience. The crumpets were also good. –I got the lemon curd crumpet and it was good, my husband got the ricotta, almond butter and marmalade crumpet and we got the egg and cheese crumpet for our kids. –I got whole leaf tea and it was self serve honey and milk by the coffee stand and the honey was just hard and dry and the milk wasn’t cold. –My husband got the coffee and my kids got the organic orange juice. –Overall, the food was good and organic anything makes me happy. Service: –Eh, it was a long line, service wasn’t so great. –The partial order, they’d call you to get your order and you sit down and a few minutes later, you’re getting up again to get more of your order. –I think the service took away from the experience quite a bit Logistics: –Stand in a long line, figure out what you want to order and order there on the spot. –Stand to the side and wait for your order or try to find a seat in the limited seating. –Self serve from here on out. –They need to figure out a new way to do things, it’s not working too well.

I stopped by this store solely based on all the positive Unilocal reviews. This is a great place to get a quick casual bite to eat, and to try your first crumpet if you’ve never had one. It is similar to an English muffin. They offer a wide selection of breakfast and lunch crumpets. We were planning to eat a big lunch so I opted for a small bite. I took the helpful cashier’s recommendation and ordered a buttered crumpet and got lemon curd and ricotta cheese for condiments. Oh baby was it good! The crumpet was nice and crispy, and lemon curd was creamy and tart, and a bite of this with the ricotta made for a wonderful mid morning snack. She gave me a bit of apricot jam too which was delicious as well. It stays pretty busy so plan accordingly. They have a great tea selection as well.

Great place for breakfast! There can be a bit of a line at 9am, but it moves pretty quickly. There is limited seating indoors and outdoors. Their crumpets are awesome. I’d never had a crumpet before coming here, but if this is what they’re supposed to taste like, I’ve been missing out. They’re like english muffins, but better! They’re more moist and chewy. Great with both sweet and savory toppings. Pesto Ricotta Tomato — Delicious! The pesto is fabulous and combined with the ricotta and fresh tomato makes this a winning combination. Walnut Honey Ricotta — So yummy. This combo is also magical. Chocolate Hazelnut Ricotta — I think the Chocolate Hazelnut spread is Nutella. This was our least favorite as the spread was just way too overpowering and thick to be able to enjoy the crumpet and ricotta. If you dine in and get tea — you get unlimited tea! We also got the fresh squeezed OJ — Not the best I’ve had. I think they accidentally squeezed in some rind, because this was extremely bitter.

To be honest, I was a huge crumpet noob before coming here. I literally had to google what a crumpet was in which I discovered that it is very similar to an English biscuit, but with minor differences. With all that said, after googling and doing my research, I had to go in and try my first crumpet. The place is pretty tiny/claustrophobic and when we went in on a Sunday afternoon, there was already a line coming out of the door. The crumpet menu is extensive — there are savory crumpets, sweet crumpets, crumpets of all sorts. My friend and I decided on the Lemon Curd Crumpet and my other friends got the Vermont Crumpet. When finally trying the crumpet, I can definitely see how it’s similar to an English muffin. but only one side of it was crispy. Honestly, my experience was just okay. It isn’t bad at all, but nothing where I was like WOW I just developed a new obsession for crumpets. Between the two, I definitely liked the Vermont Crumpet more. The Lemon Curd is pretty plain and just straight up Lemon Curd sauce, but the Vermont has walnuts sprinkled on top of it which gives it a bit more crunch, which I like. I also got the fresh squeezed OJ during my trip which was really good! You can literally see the workers squeezing the orange and it tastes very fresh. I enjoyed it a lot, but it was a tad bit pricey. I think I remember paying about $ 6 for it? Either way, it was good though. Site Note: I gotta give a shout out to one of the male workers with that majestic and very powerful voice when calling out the orders. It was pretty great and his voice resonated throughout the place. Super hero voice status, you could say. Anyway, this place is alright.

Hung out for a bit and got a maple butter crumpet. Service was super friendly. Very laid back, welcoming atmosphere despite being right next to the market. Crumpet was good — like a slightly thicker, doughier English muffin. Maple butter was very sweet. For $ 4.62 a little pricier than I’d expect for a piece of dough and some shmear, but I can see why they’re popular. Food is also super fast. My crumpet came out maybe two minutes after I ordered. I’d come back here for sure — easy breakfast that puts you in a good mood on a rainy morning.

Came here day 2 of my Seattle trip, before heading to Portland, OR. Honestly, I’m not sure if I’m a fan of crumpets or not. Maybe, I was a little disappointed by my smoked salmon crumpet? My bf dropped me off right when it opened to avoid the line, so we could head to Portland asap. I ordered 2 savory crumpets and 1 sweet: Ham, Cheese, and Egg, Smoked Salmon cream cheese, and nutella with ricotta cheese crumpet? I really enjoyed the Ham, Cheese, and Egg & Nutella crumpet, not so much of the smoked Salmon cream cheese. I’m so used to having the sliced smoked salmon, I’ve never had it in a «spread» form. I thought it was okay. Would I come back here again? I think I would for a quick breakfast bite. Worth a try. Also fairly priced — around $ 4 each.

Breakfast at The Crumpet Shop was my favorite meal during our short time in Seattle; the smell upon entering is magical and the staff are super nice and helpful. I’ve never had a crumpet before but I’ll be craving them in the future. Rob’s Favorite(Smoked Salmon w/Pesto Eggs): If you like smoked salmon you will love this crumpet and the pesto eggs make it a filling breakfast. Pesto, Cheese, Tomato: simple but also very good. The crumpet reminded me of an English muffin but 100000 times better. It was much softer/fluffier and more moist. Dirty Chai and Americano drinks were also on point. Must go if you are in the area!!!

Located near the entrance to Pike Place Market, The Crumpet Shop first caught my radar when I spied a sign on the door stating that the shop was sold out of crumpets for the day. Of course, this spiked my curiosity. These must be some good crumpets if it’s already sold out by mid afternoon. Luckily, I was able to make it to brunch the next day and was not disappointed. With a line out the door, I knew I was on to something delicious. What are crumpets? They’re like english muffins, but not as dry and more moist and chewier. The crumpets have a great toast on the outside and warm and fluffy center. The toppings are what really make the crumpets special. The overwhelming favorite crumpet was the«Vermont» topped with walnuts, maple butter and cream cheese — very delicious and definitely one you should get. I wished I tried the lemon curd! Other crumpets include a savory one with wild salmon and cream cheese spread topped with cucumbers. A non-crumpet speciality is the organic groats which tastes a lot more delicious than it sounds. Oats served with steamed milk, honey and currents. I am also a fan of their loose leaf teas, especially the jasmine pearl tea. The tea leaves are highly packed into little balls or «pearls» and slowly unfurl as it seeps in the hot water. The space is cozy and can be pretty tight during the morning rush, but well worth it.

SOGOOD!!! Lives up to the hype. I tried the Vermont life-changer(honey, walnuts, ricotta) and it was life-changing. After the first bite, I already dreaded the moment it would be gone! I don’t think I could recreate this at home, but I would be tempted to try… My boyfriend ordered the pesto, tomato, and english cheddar crumpet. Also amazing. I’m glad we got to try both because they were so different! We did have to wait in a pretty long line to get in, but I think it was worth it. Once we ordered, we snagged a table(hard to do in this small space on a crowded Sunday), and waited for our orders to be called. It’s a bit of an odd system they have and you have to cross over the line to grab your food once it’s ready. The employees were all very friendly and handled the long line without breaking a sweat. They pumped out orders quickly and still maintained quality in all the crumpets! I would love to come back here — and I was tempted to bring back some fresh crumpets to San Diego!
