The«now roasting» sign and the smell… Always a sure bet! I can count on Caffe Ladro to be perfectly roasted and mellow. Not burnt or too watery. It’s a Seattle coffee lover must.

The coffee I got was pretty awful and I am certain that the syrup they put in it had gone to the dark side of the force. The only reason I give it two stars is because they had a singular gluten free option for baked goods. I was kind of in a rush, and there was a line out the door so I regret not asking for a drinkable coffee. Kind of bummed that I couldn’t even have my coffee, threw that expensive cup of coffee in the trash. Learned a valuable lesson about making sure the coffee doesn’t taste like death before leaving though. Sorry folks, but if you have terrible coffee maybe you should offer a variety of not completely awful coffee.

Their coffee is good but whenever there are more than 5 customers they make about half the drinks wrong. This happened multiple times this month, even when they have 3 – 4 staffs working. It takes a long time for them to remake correct drinks for everyone, and by the end of it they forget about what the next order is, repeating the whole process again.

I frequent on the weekends. The best time to arrive is before 10am as it’s super slow then and you can relax. There’s wi-fi you want it. The snack selection is pretty good. The artistry of pulling shots the old fashioned way still happens here, no automatic machines. Be warned space is limited because the this location is small.

was the first place we tried a Medici many years ago. its the one drink the wife can’t say no to having multiple times in a day. no one makes an orange mocha like caffe ladro.

The coffee here was so amazing that we must have gone 2 – 3 times a day while visiting the Seattle area. I’m not a big latte fan but the MEDICI takes the cake. They put an orange rind in there so you get that orangy background. HEAVEN… sadly we don’t have this in SoCal.

Clean, has A/C running, and some creamy lattes. Boyfriend got the Arnold Palmer with hibiscus, perfect after beating the crowds over at Pike Place with this 85 degree weather. Super friendly service, paid $ 3.40 something for an 8 oz. latte.

Wandered in here looking for an espresso and was floored. They had a fantastic single-origin that day that was doubtless the best espresso I’ve ever had. The woman at the counter was super helpful and pleasant as well. Strongly recommended.

Love this place. Their coffee is like crack, I can’t stop coming whenever I have the opportunity to. It’s way better than Starbucks, their coffee can’t even compare. I wish they would open up more spots though.

Tried way too many times and each time the drip coffee is surprisingly lame and leaves you wanting so much more, especially my money back. This is really too bad because its a block away from my place.

Nice quiet place to chill on a cold afternoon. I ordered their signature Medici — mocha with orange zest. Latte art was misshapen and didn’t resemble anything in particular, it was slightly disappointing. The mocha though was pleasant, with the orange notes shining through. It wasn’t overly sweet like most mochas. In fact there wasn’t a strong chocolate taste, but it was enjoyable. Not a stand out, but a nice place to visit for a relaxing afternoon.

Gonna keep it simple: the latte is so good it gives my coworker goosebumps, the diablo is rich and delicious and bold, the tables and the bench seating is perfect for some light gossiping or reading a Palahniuk novel. Such a breath of fresh air from your average coffee shop.

The quality is solid but the folks don’t know how to manage a line. A year ago they were on point but now with two people in line it takes 15 minutes to get your coffee. Multiple that by more and you’ll spend your first morning meeting in Ladro. It’s probably the change in employees cause now it seems like they don’t care for the customer experience. The prices are on the higher side as well.

A run of the mill coffee shop in downtown — clean and with booths.

I’ve been to Caffe Ladro a whopping 3 times, but I do live like 900 miles away. Every time I’ve had the best cup of coffee ever. The first time I visited was 3 or 4 years ago. The most recent was yesterday. Quality has in no way diminished from the first time, which is impressive. This particular Caffe Ladro is just up the street from Pike Place Market. I had some grand notion of hitting up the original Starbucks(I’m a former employee, so I wanted to at least see the place) … The line was out the door and almost to the end of the block. I decided against standing in line(I have better things to do), so we headed to Caffe Ladro. It is of course a superior choice. The espresso is never bitter and burned. The baristas are always the kindest. I’ve been to 3 locations and all 3 have a great atmosphere. We didn’t make it to another store to get beans for our home espresso machine, so we’ll have to order online. ;)

I am happy I continued to walk away from the crowded Pike Place and found this gem… Great Latte served by a friendly barista in a wide mug as it should. Enough place to sit down and enjoy… If it wasn’t 3000 miles from home I would consider to make this my regular spot.

Coffee: 1 star. Baristas/Musical Selection: 5 stars = 3 stars from me. I have to say– the other day my regular drip coffee was almost undrinkable… undrinkable…is that a word? Looks weird, well– the spell correct isn’t trying to warn me otherwise… ANYHOO! I ordered black coffee: I don’t know what was going on this particular day, but the coffee had a vegetal taste that I almost thought I was drinking vegetable broth. I even lifted the lid to see if I’d been had… no dice, it was coffee… but, some type of veggie coffee? I dunno– I tried to shake it, ate some of my breakfast to cleanse the ol’ palate, and still came through… I’m talking celery and carrots y’all. Now– their drinks(from other Ladro’s I’ve visited) usually are pretty solid, so maybe just hit a bad batch. The gals running the shop were great though: MCHAMMER? Dude… I was digging. I’ll stop in when in a pinch and in dire need of caffeine, otherwise– I’ll just brew my own.

I really enjoy working(from) here! The baristas are pretty friendly, their mochas are good, the wifi is fast enough for everything I need to do, and it’s normally easy to find a table that allows me to both get comfortable AND charge my laptop or phone. What else is important? Oh. Location. Good thing they are in a GREAT location! Japonessa(next door) is a great place to grab a bite before or after you grab a cup of coffee(and, maybe, spend a couple hours reading or working). LOVE this location!
