I really thought, throughout my visit here, that I was in the very first, the famous original Starbucks. I lucked out — no line! It had the original black and white logo markings, sold the Pike Place special reserve coffee… AND the Pike Place souvenir mug — all the supposed markers of the first Starbucks.
Nope — this place, although great — is a decoy! The original Starbucks is a 5 minute walk away at 1912 Pike Place. Go back toward Pike Place Market, turn right on Pike Place, and it’s about two blocks down on the right. Odds are there’ll be a musician playing outside and a line out the door!
On the other hand, if you want those special souvenirs, or coffee (or both) without the long line — this Starbucks will do nicely!

This Starbucks is located on the first floor inside the city target. It takes Starbucks card, which is a plus!
Not sure if it’s just a Seattle thing but they offer mini-​frap now! Hooray!
The only reason I’m writing this review is because I get to be the first to review! Oh and also it’s been awhile since I last reviewed a Starbucks, so with that, til next time!
