Visiting our son from Chicago. One of his collegues from SU recommended this bakery. Amazing fresh pastries. Loved the blueberry lemon curd pastry and the mushroom quiche was fabulous! Great coffee as well. We enjoyed everything so much at breakfast, we went back at lunchtime for sandwiches and slices of pizza. Met the chef he was so accomodating! Such a pleasant experience all around.

Their classic chocolate cake was amazing! Most of the guest always ask for just small slivers because they’re always watching waist line, but not this time! They all actually went for a second slice! Initially regretted forgetting the vanilla ice cream but so happy we got to just savor the goodness of this cake all by itself for my daughters college graduation celebration

Bakery Nouveau, you lived up to expectations! I loved the twice baked chocolate croissant, twice baked almond croissant and California Club sandwiches. All were definitely high in quality. The croissants truly are delicious and well-made. The almond paste inside was perfect and there was a lot of it. Overall, expect your croissant to be hefty! Though best eaten fresh, they hold well — it was still great hours later after sitting in my backpack. Small place inside– there are only a few tables, but you can take your baked goods to the benches or the picnic table nearby in the shade to enjoy. What a nice way to spend the morning! Too bad it’s a little expensive to become a daily habit, but Bakery Nouveau would be a place I’d go to treat myself.

Twice baked almond croissant is to die for! The Kouign Aman was disappointing compared to B Patisserie in San Francisco. This place gets crowded, but the awesome smell will keep you occupied.

We had the twice baked almond and chocolate croissant and were pretty happy with them! however the almond croissant was served hot while the chocolate wasn’t and that made a great difference! Please make sure you get them heated before you have them!

Overall impression: An experience that you absolutely have to try. This will now be a go-to when I come to Seattle. Positives: –great customer service –only had the twice baked almond croissant(warmed up)-$ 4.25. Absolutely worth every penny. Never had anything like this before and it was an absolute taste sensation. –fast service –everything else in the place looks incredible and fresh Negatives: –my only issue is that it’s a bit pricey. But you know what? It’s totally worth it.

THISPLACEISEVERYTHING A BAKERYSHOULDSTRIVETOBE! The best thing they have is the Kouign Amann. I don’t even know what it was because I ate it so quickly. The employees were very friendly and helpful. It was a delightful experience. When I return to Seattle, eating at Bakery Nouveau will be a priority :)

Live was good when Bakery Nouveau was only in West Seattle — it was a nice treat when I was over in Seattle or had to make a trip to DOL. Since they opened their location in Capitol Hill, just a few blocks from home, though, live has been more delicious but probably much less healthy. Everything I have had here has been good, and most items have been excellent. Standouts include: — Twice baked chocolate croissant — The junction sandwich(scrambled eggs, cheese, bacon, ham, and béchamel on a croissant) — Pretty much any of the tarts, but Lemon Meringue Tart is especially good — The cheesecakes(both the regular and the chocolate mocha) — The sandwiches — anything with their chicken salad is wonderful, as are the the Brie BLT, the club, and any of the pork specials. We’ve found the baguette sandwiches travel really well for hiking(since they don’t crush), so our default hiking day starts off with a stop for breakfast pastries and some coffee to go, plus some sandwiches for our bags. The one challenge with this is that many of the sandwiches are not out before 8am(or even 8:30am), so the selection can be a bit limited if you are getting an early start. The coffee is not a draw here — the drip, especially, often tastes like it has been sitting for far too long. That’s kind of a shame, since I think they use Lighthouse which is pretty good. Seating is scarce and backs up to the line when it gets busy, so if you planning to eat in and catch up with a friend, try to avoid peak breakfast and lunch times(on weekends, pretty much the whole morning) or be prepared to wait for seats.

Such a charming little bakery. It was located around the corner from our Airbnb so we came here to get some quick pastries before leaving to head back home. I got their ham and cheese croissant and loved it! The inside of the bakery is very pretty and looks upscale. You pay a little more for your coffee and pastry than you would at a Starbucks, but it is always nice to support a small business like this over a large corporate chain. Must try place if you are in the area!

You can taste the quality of the ingredients in every bite. If you are visiting Seattle, you need to come by Bakery Nouveau. Everything is exceptionally good, but don’t leave without buying a twice baked croissant. Considering how high quality the ingredients are, the prices are surprisingly reasonable. The goodies are so high quality, that I never have eaters remorse. It is rare that I eat a sweet and think, «boy, that was worth the calories», but here I think that every time.

Wonderful establishment in a beautiful area of Seattle. The food was exceptional and the interior was authentic to a café in France. I had the almond croissant and my mother had a ham and cheese. Both were delicious however the almond croissant was very sweet so it depends on your mood. I really enjoyed my mother’s and would probably get it next time since it has more protein. My father also enjoyed the almond croissant and latte with design. Definitely coming back my next time to Seattle!

So far, the best bakery in town, no doubt!!! Located in a cozy place, right by a tiny park, where it can be hard at times to find a parking spot, but the enthusiasm of trying one of the pastries at Bakery Nouveau gets you going. The service is amazing, everybody is so nice and willing to help. The pastries speak for themselves. One look and I was in love. But it is not just the fact that they are esthetically pleasing, they also please my palate immensely. The first time, I went there to buy a birthday cake for my friend. Obviously enough, I could not help it and ordered some of their macarons and a slice of German chocolate cake along with a cup of English breakfast tea. The taste was like nothing else. The macarons melted in my mouth and the chocolate cake was to die for. I got a classic chocolate birthday cake for my friend and everybody loved the cake at the party. Even those who don’t like chocolate much could not resist this one. I went back for a second time a few days ago. Just realized the savory sandwiches are also famous and they sell really fast. I yet have to try their savory sandwiches, but they look very promising. If I have to pick a downside, it would be that the pastries are so good that I have a hard time deciding which one to choose.

The twice baked almond croissant was heavenly. Don’t think twice, just get it! When I visit bakeries, I tend to have difficulty deciding what to order because my sweet tooth tells me to get one of everything. However, coming to Bakery Nouveau, I was on a mission to get a twice baked almond croissant thanks to the incredible reviews I read on Unilocal.I was mind blown after the first bite. Flaky? Check. Crunchy? Check. Soft and buttery on the inside? Check. The almond paste… Ohh how do I even begin? It was perfectly almond-y and not overwhelmingly sweet. I had to fight my friend for the last bite. This is what true croissant dreams are made of.

My girlfriend and I are major bakery lovers and we are always on the hunt for great ones. This bakery, in our opinion, was good but not great. We ordered(a lot): Ham and cheese sandwich thing(forgot the name) — Forgettable. Pre-made so it was just okay. A morning bun type thing(forgot the name) — Very flakey and light. Similar to a croissant. Solid. Chocolate chip cookie — Not the greatest cookie I have ever had but still good. A cinnamon roll type thing(sorry, bad with names) — Imagine a cinnamon roll that’s light and doesn’t make you feel like you have a brick in your stomach later and that’s it. Probably the 3rd best thing I had here. Twice-baked almond croissant — Really good. The 2nd best thing I had there. It was just missing something… Twice-baked chocolate almond croissant — AMAZING. SOFREAKINGGOOD. These were so good, I LITERALLY(and when I say literally, I mean literally) dreamed about them that night. I don’t even know where to begin to describe them but they were one of the best pastries I have ever had in my life. Chai latte — If Starbucks is average, this was above average. Regular latte —(See chai latte) We ate all of it in one sitting because that’s what we do. Sitting was a little difficult because the place is small and there aren’t many places to sit inside. This place was good and if I was in the area, I would come back for the chocolate almond croissants, if nothing else(but probably a few things else).

Bakery Noveau has been on my bookmarks for so long because I’ve heard amazing stories about their famed twice-baked almond croissant; but it’s deep in an area of Capitol Hill that is kind of hard for me to get to. So when I finally made a quick pitstop, I ordered a whole bunch of treats to try, of which, my favorites were the Chocolate-Almond Croissant and Breakfast Croissant. — CHOCOLATECROISSANT — 4.5STARS: Super decadent, filled with chocolate and almond paste. It was one of my favorite pastries and unlike anything I’ve had before, but too rich for me. I think I’m more of a chocolate croissant purist, so I don’t see myself getting this regularly. — ALMONDCROISSANT: Nouveau is famous for their almond croissant, which is very similar to the chocolate croissant. If you have one visit, get EITHER the chocolate OR the almond croissant since they’re so similar. My preference was for the chocolate because it had both chocolate and almond paste. — CRANBERRYCHEESEPASTRY: This tart looked pretty standard but it was actually really good because the combination of cheese and cranberry were perfectly balanced. It was good but I don’t know if I would get it again because it wasn’t especially unique. — APRICOTPASTRY: Looked and tasted exactly like you would expect, it was pretty good but I don’t think I would get it again — BREAKFASTCROISSANT(Egg/Ham): I’m a bit of a sucker for breakfast foods and sandwiches, and I thought this was pretty amazeeeee. This one wasn’t even warmed up, and it was sooooo incredible because it was super flaky, stuffed full of eggs, ham, and mornay sauce. Super decadent breakfast, but a must-order if you’re here for breakfast! Ask for it heated up.

Oh this was pure delicious goodness. I had heard so many good things about this bakery and was kind of on the fence about how good my experience would be. Usually, when things are amped up, they become less up to par in terms of the expectations you form. But wow, this bakery just blew me away by how decadent and delicious their food was. The shop is pretty spacious. Cap Hill is usually a difficult place to find parking so good luck looking on a busy day. We ordered a chocolate and almond croissant. I also got a savory sandwich with ham and cheese. The highlight of our snack was the almond croissant. It is flaky and buttery on the outside. Once you bite in, you get this creamy almond butter. It just melts. I had one of those moments where I closed my eyes so I could focus on how good the croissant was. The words that followed were, «Oh my goodness.» It was really heavenly. I probably ate 800 calories worth of sweets/butter but in the moment, it all seemed worth it.

So I’ve been to Paris and my boyfriend and I came up with a pact that I’m about to break. It’s that we weren’t gonna come back from the trip being all, «So back in Paris…(pronouncing it as Paree)» while we nonchalantly chain smoke outside a café with berets on. We weren’t going to be THOSE people. But bear with me. I took a bite(let’s just say I came up with my own standard of measurement for what I consider a «bite») of the Praline Dream and my eyes literally rolled to the back of my head. I took a bite of their quiche and my toes curled. I snuck a bite of my boyfriend’s sandwich in a perfectly baked baguette and I wanted to cry. It was all so divine, so thoughtfully made and I couldn’t think of a better way than to describe it as being… Well, being reminiscent of the best patisseries in Paris. Prices are not astronomical but do reflect the craftsmanship that goes into every pastry and bread they sell. As dedicated as they are to making artisanal products, this place has no air of superiority or exclusivity. It’s just a cozy, warm and inviting place for a cup of coffee and a delectable pastry.

*Why have I never walked in here until today? I must be insanely crazy *Had the ham croissant with Bechamel, to die for *Love this bakery, it is everything you want a bakery to be and the employees were all really sweet and caring(on Capital hill for that matter!) no hipster attitude here

I have been a patron of West Seattle Bakery Nouveau for years, Capitol Hill location is better in every way, except parking, even their pastries & coffee taste better. To begging with the set up is great, large floor to ceiling windows let natural light in, and nice view of Williams Place Park while sipping coffee, and eating a pastry or two, ok, maybe three, the hell with it buy one each. Bakery Nouveau is a refined, upscale, authentic french bakery, I mean real french pastries, on par to the best parisienne pâtisseries, and yes, I am using a circumflex, because it seems nowadays you can be more french in America than in Paris. They make magic with 3 basic ingredients, sugar, butter, and flour, they use high quality ingredients, cultured(European Style) butter, which is churned slower and longer than regular(store bought) butter, giving the cream time to develop flavor. Think mouthwatering Kouing Amann, perfect Butter Croissants, delicious Double Baked Almond Croissants, Parisienne Macarons, Sandwiches, pizza, cakes, and more. Voilà

Gotta try the Twice baked almond croissant and chocolate croissant, they won’t disappoint! I heard this place was one of Seattle’s best bakery in town so I had to stop by and confirm it. Croissants: so crispy, flakey, moist and dense. It’s as big as your hands but easily devoured in 5 seconds. I’ve never had an almond croissant before but this place has risen up my standards now. It’s a little pricey for a piece of pastry but worth it. Overall, this place is as good as people say and you’ll need to order a box before you leave because you’ll be craving for it afterwards!
