The salt & pepper pork chop is my standard order. The service is great. I really appreciate this place being on the hill.

I really liked the food here and the service was amazing. I brought my friend for her birthday and they definitely made it wonderful. The variety of food and baked goods is tremendous. The honey walnut prawns were perfect! I can’t wait to come back and try other dishes.

Please beware, live mold found in the pastries today, served to a 5yr old. Clearly the mold was incredibly old, please be aware before eating! Mold is incredibly serious.

I am on a quest to find the best General’s chicken on the east side and so far Regent gets my award. Their steam buns are amazing, and pastry too. I only wish they had more seating, but I guess being busy all the time is a great problem to have.

I’ll start by saying I had pretty low expectations for this place, given what I had heard from friends. As I walked in the door, I was also deeply confused by the setup. Restaurant? Bakery? Café? It was quite odd. Anyways, I was really craving some delicious Asian pastries and my boyfriend loves boba, so we decided to try the only place in cap hill that had those(open on weekends at least). The pastry was good enough. I got one with a milk powder filling. Bread was soft, but definitely below average compared to others of its kind(it’s a high bar to reach). Milk powder I found to be… Powdery. Which should not be surprising in retrospect, but it just was not very good. The boba was not great quality. Some were chewy, some were crumbly and undercooked. Will probably return because they are the only place in cap hill serving these items and overall still a net positive experience. Another bathroom review from the boyfriend: nice toilets.

I’ve often drive this place over the years but never stepped foot until yesterday… It exceeded my expectations. All dim sum are made to order vs having a cart being pushed around. The flavors, textures of what I expected in a dim sum reminded me of my times up north in Richmond and Vancouver BC. Their bakery looked on point as well. My friends have ordered cakes here as well as raved about their HH. Their ambiance is chic and chill with attentive service that doesn’t crowd your parties space. Can’t wait to come back!

This place is underrated happy hour haven in Capitol Hill. $ 5 cocktails and $ 4 – 7 appetizers! And an entire bakery if you didn’t pig out enough and want fresh-baked desserts after that! And happy hour is daily 4−7pm and Sun/Mon 4−10pm! As you can tell by my enthusiasm, I ordered half the happy hour menu HAHA. Everything(crispy wontons, salt/pepper chicken wings, popcorn chicken, salt/pepper calamari and chicken with peanut sauce) was really good. I liked the green tea martini because it tasted good and got me drunk for $ 5. The service was super quick. The only thing I did not like was the cucumber salad. It was boring and bland. Besides that, I will definitely be back to eat the other half of the happy hour menu.

I’d have to say this is one of the best Chinese restaurant and bakery in the city. The ambiance is fresh and modern. They have a nice little bar, grab and go pastries, and bubble tea. They have yet to disappoint and I’m Chinese. The quality and taste of all the dishes I have tried have been fresh and delicious. I got my wedding cake here, the fresh mango, and strawberry. Super fresh and delicious! All my guests raved about it. I have also tried their fresh taro cake. It is one of my new favorites. It is nothing like the ube cake. Some people thought the texture was a bit gritty, but to me that just means it is super fresh! And I know because I love taro. Strangely though I do not like poi. Haha. I also eat here and got take out quite a bit. Sometimes I just stop in for a tasty pastry or bubble tea. I had dinner with my parents and Filipino in-laws. We all enjoyed the dishes very much. I can’t remember everything we ordered. There was clams and black bean sauce, some tangy pork, hot and sour soup, and some others. I think the items are priced a little higher than other places you’d find in Chinatown, but not by much. It is quite reasonable when considering the place is clean and the décor is really nice, the quality and flavors are consistently good, and I think it is well worth it. I’d definitely recommend this place to my friends, family, and fellow Unilocalers. The only thing that bugs me is that it is so hard to find parking around there. There are some nearby pay lots though.

I’ve been a fan of Regent Bakery in Bellevue for as long as I can remember, so I’m pretty excited that it’s right next to my apartment. For any occasion, my family always has to get whole cakes from Regent, so I’m stoked that I don’t have to drive all the way over there to pick up one of their yummy cakes. Inside you’ll find a variety of delicate pastries, European and Asian — that you usually won’t find it at any other dessert and pastry shops around town. Green tea mousse, chestnut cream, green onion buns. list goes on. Ham, cheese, and corn baked into a sweet, buttery soft dough! YUM Now the food — Chinese food, it’ll do in a pinch when you’re in the mood for some Chinese but not feeling like going over to Chinatown. But don’t expect Chinatown from this place — you might be disappointed.

Though the name makes it sound more like a bakery, the«café» area has a full dinner menu as well! It’s a solid Chinese restaurant with delicious baked goods to boot! My co-worker and I were really hungry after work one day and we pretty much ordered everything that caught our eye on the menu. Popcorn chicken, green beans, mongolian beef, and ½ roast duck. Solid 4 stars to everything except for the ½ roast duck, which was a little bland and not that exciting. After eating to our heart’s content and packing our to-go boxes, we browsed the bakery items. They have a setup kind of like a mini 85 degrees or Sheng Kee, though the selection is smaller. We each got a custard bun to go(around $ 1.50 each) which was fluffy and delicious! Overall, great experience and I hope to come back here again soon!

Delicious Hong Kong-styled Chinese food! Things to order: BBQ Pork Chow Mein($ 8.95) — Their skinny egg noodles are prepared just the way I like it! Semi-soft, semi-firm! So good! The portion size is big and can feed two people for sure. Red Bean Mochi Bun from the bakery side($ 2 – 3): Holy anpan man! If you dig Japanese anpan(sweet bun filled with red bean paste), you will love their red bean mochi bun! For a few coins, a sweet pillow of a bun with mochi and red bean can be yours. – We went here on a Friday night and it was pretty dead. TBH, I was a little worried that the lack of a crowd was due to not-so-great food, but I was so dead wrong! I’ll definitely be back for more!

The pastries, cakes, and drinks are one of my favorites here at Regent, but there’s only one reason I am rating it a 4 star instead of a 5 — confusion regarding making cake orders. Regent has 2 locations: Capitol Hill and Redmond. I originally placed a cake order on a Monday(and needed it Thursday) and emailed the Capitol Hill location to place the order since that’s where I’d be picking the cake up. By end of day Tuesday, I didn’t receive any kind of an email or phone call regarding the cake order so I got concerned. Since both locations have weird/different hours, it was hard to contact them. So I called the Redmond location to ask if there was any way they could look up in their system if my cake order had gone through. They informed me 1) they don’t cake orders through email and 2) if they did receive my cake order, apparently only the Redmond location takes cake orders since the Capitol Hill location isn’t equipped to bake cakes and if cakes need to be picked up in Capitol Hill, the Redmond location delivers the cakes to the Capitol Hill location. Confusing, eh? So I asked them if I could make a cake order through them then and get picked up in the Capitol Hill location on Thursday AM, but they were reluctant to do so in case the Capitol Hill location received my email and already communicated with the Redmond location. So I waited until Wednesday afternoon to call the Capitol Hill location to get clarification and if it was still possible to get the cake Thursday AM(less than 24 hours away). They didn’t receive my cake order in my email but told me it wasn’t a problem having my cake ready the next morning. Luckily everything in the end worked out but this confusing process of ordering cakes is preventing me from rating Regent 5 stars. Regent has always been one of my favorite locations to get bubble tea at, and whenever I feel like eating a piece of cake, I LOVE their cakes here. Their cakes are not too sweet yet still sweet enough, delicious, savory, and soft. My mouth is watering just typing this review out!

I made a same day cake order and they were happy to oblige! Normally you need two days in advance but I was short on time and needed a Black Forest cake for a birthday that evening. It was only $ 24 for a 6″ cake and it was delicious, well worth it. It could feed 5 people, for one slice per person. The location is nice, spacious and well decorated. Looks like they have a lot of Chinese food options in addition to the bakery options. Glad I discovered this place and happy to go here for any future cake orders!

Lovely ambiance and trendy music, but terrible meals. I ordered their fried pork chop udon which tasted like instant noodle. The udon was clearly from one of those instant ramen packs. The udon even broke into pieces as I soaked it in the broth. The broth tasted like a lot of msg, and the fried pork chop tasted like microwaved pork chop. We also ordered Mongolian beef, which tasted ok, but be aware that it doesn’t come with rice. We were charged almost $ 2 for a small bowl of rice. Their Taiwanese popcorn chicken was tasteless and disappointing. There’s no seasonings or spicy powder on the chicken like how the real Taiwanese popcorn chicken is supposed to be. Our server gave us sweet and sour sauce… This is my first time having Taiwanese popcorn chicken with sweet and sour sauce. I guess they are trying to go Taiwanese-American fusion style. Bubble tea tasted like those canned milk tea you can find in any Japanese super market, except this one is very diluted. Overall I’m very disappointed by the quality of the meals. Perhaps all the good reviews are for their dessert. I won’t come back again.

OMFG!!! This squid has got to be THE best in town! This squid is melting in my mouth. Not tangy like other places. A++ squid. So glad I found this place. They’ve got booze too what else do you want! P. s. amazing cakes too!

Regent’s Chinese food is still one of my go-to places when I’m craving Chinese. This past visit, I picked up the General Tso’s chicken(my favorite!), chicken fried rice(so light, non-greasy, yet VERY flavorful), and the mongolian beef(Not so great). Also, I ordered the black forest chocolate cake for my boyfriend which is something I wouldn’t do again — particularly because I’m a fan of rich chocolate cake, not the light/airy kind that Regent serves.

I came back and loved it again. Easier than getting to the ID and easier to find parking, Regent is a win in my book. My mom and I had exceptional service and delicious food here for dinner last night. I tried so much more of the menu and nothing missed a beat. It’s a bit chilly in there but that’s a huge plus for people looking to escape the heat. There are TVs on the wall, the restaurant is clean and not too packed on an early weeknight, and the offerings were just what I was looking for. You can come here for tea and appetizers, you can do full plated family style food with huge portions, you can get smoothies or bubble tea, or you can get fresh pastries and desserts. It’s a great option for anything from small baked goods and single slices of cake to whole cakes to take home for events. Basically a one stop shop! They even have baked breads too. We had calamari, popcorn chicken, honey walnut prawns, moo shu pork, sweet and sour pork, egg noodle soup, hot tea, and more. We took a ton home in to go boxes and I’ve made at least 4 full meals of it since last night. Everything was delicious. The menu is huge too, so you can go with classic(popular westernized) dishes or things that are a little more adventuresome. They have it all and it’s tasty!

Here’s a quick and dirty break down of everything I got: Milk tea– I really liked the Hong Kong milk tea itself, not overly sweet and had a good ratio of ice to milk tea to boba. However, some of the boba were rock hard in the center. I couldn’t stand it after a while and just started spitting them out and made a little collection of undercooked boba on my napkin. My friend got the honey dew milk tea and it was way too sweet! He got the same batch of undercooked boba in his cup too. Indonesian fried rice — PASS. Fried rice with a tomato sauce base, squid and shrimp, with a fried over easy egg on top. I was impressed with the amount of squid and shrimp on the plate and how good the egg was on top(wish there was another egg!). The fried rice itself didn’t seem fried and it was just so bland and flat. Definitely needed some green onions or veggies to liven it up. Dumplings in spicy sauce — I thought these dumplings would fulfill my dumpling craving, but they didn’t. The sauce was more of a chili oil mixed with peanut sauce? Anyways, not what I was expecting. Wouldn’t order again. Garlic green beans — Thank god we ordered these because they saved my entire dining experience here. Thank you garlic green beans, you always come in clutch. I’ll be sticking to just desserts and pastries next time I come here. And boba without boba.

It was very disappointing, I was very excited when I first saw the reviews on Unilocal,I love traditional Cantonese pastries. We went there on Sun night, picked up two melon cakes, one of them was moldy. I wrote them an email the next day with pictures attached, it’s been more than a week and I haven’t received any response so far.
