Affordable, friendly and fast. I’ve brought a few suits, dresses, jackets and silk tops and they’ve continued to do a good job. Great location and hours as well.

I’ve been coming here for about 3yrs now. I was referred by butch blum, high end boutique in seattle. I was surprised that this cleaner has only 3 stars rating so i decided to leave a 5 star feedback. I really like this place. The owners are very kind and they are very hard working people i can tell. I bring all my stuff for cleaning and never had any kind of problem. They tightened loose buttons on my blouse for free. I highly recommend this business.

Friendly service, fast turnaround. Shirt pressing can be a little messy sometimes, but nothing major. Prices seem reasonable.

I’ve had a couple items dry cleaned here and have had good results. I noticed the reviews are all from 2 – 5 years ago, so it seemed only fair to give a more recent one.

Looks like I should have read reviews. What happened to me is similar to other people. We have to call King 5 Jesse Jones about this. I have been taking clothes here for three years and never had an issue. But in recent months I noticed that some buttons on my shirts and my husband’s shirts went missing or got cracked after dry cleaning. But what happened this week tops it all. I took my silk Jigsaw shirt for a regular clean — they cleaned it 2 times before with no issues. But this time I got it back in a horrible condition — color was off, there is a nice pattern with ruffles which got undone, threads hanging all over. I could not believe it!!! The shirt I paid $ 150 was ruined. Luckily I bought another one to have extra since I really love the shirt. I took the ruined shirt back and brought the new one in to show how the shirt should look. The lady offered to fix it. OK. I went to get it after «fixing» and it was not fixed, she did cut the threads off. She tried to blame her husband for cleaning the spots and ruining it. People already mentioned the blank stare — yes I got that, she just looked at me. I kept asking what she would do about this? The shirt is ruined, it cost $ 150 and I think they should compensate me. She seemed shocked to hear that and said she would give me the $ 6.28 I paid for ruining the shirt back!!! Seriously??? I said no and told her I would write a bad review. Then she went after me and offered a store credit of $ 70. I said ok and left. I will not go back. I understand sometimes they do ruin clothes. In this case they should at least compensate — take the liability. They lost me as a customer.

I took me a while to find a dry cleaner in the neighborhood that did a satisfying cleaning job, but not only do Green Cleaners deliver on the cleaning — they are also enormously kind and helpful and make you feel very welcome. You definitely get the family feel in this family business :-)

I’ve taken a blazer here to get shoulder pads removed and an old quilt to get the frayed edges sewed. They do a really good job and have fair prices. I feel like there’s a little bit of a language barrier, so I’m bringing my more complicated projects somewhere else. However, if you’re on the hill and need a place to get simple alterations done (I can’t attest to their dry cleaning!), this is a good place.

So, I don’t want to be too hard on this place because I used them probably 10 or so times without issue. The last time however I noticed a different ‘guy’ on drop off and pick up and also a different ‘assistant’ helping. Anyway, I always take my sweaters (about 7) for dry cleaning. This time, 2 came back with TONS of pilling and one sweater is now all ‘fuzzy.‘
So, I took the worst two back and explained that these sweaters looked much older/​worn/​used than when I brought them in, then I pointed out the pilling on the first sweater and the newly created fuzz layer on the second and the guy just kind of looked at them with a dumb look on his face and was not willing to even really attempt to fix either, after asking him multiple times if he could at least TRY to fix his/​his shops mistakes. Needless to say, I don’t know if this place changed owners or what but the previous 10 or so time my clothes always came back looking tip top, sharp, clean, and new. This last time they 1) didin’t look well cleaned at all and 2) looked really used/​old/​worn. I would love to give them another chance but they ruined three $ 100+ dollar sweaters and I just can’t take that gamble again.
What a shame they wouldn’t even attempt to fix the pilling and fuzz that wasn’t there to begin with…

Our regular cleaner — things are always ready when they say they will be & the people working are always friendly.
Prices aren’t the cheapest, but I’m not sure I want «cheap» for the more expensive clothing I own.
They have regularly re-​sewn/​tightened up a failing button or hook on pants & shirts, as well as identified stains & let us know about their attempts (successful or failed) to erase them.
Easy to get to, with convenient load only/​short-​term parking right out front (unusual for Cap Hill!).

Bad business ethic, bad customer service. This is my first Unilocal review. I don’t like to speak negatively about small businesses who I generally try to support, but my experience today moved me to provide a warning to others.
I took an expensive, well-​made Hugo Boss blazer to Green Cleaners to be cleaned so I could attend a cousin’s wedding, and I got it back with shattered buttons, roughed-​up edges and seams, and marks on the fabric where it had been pressed so firmly the inside buttons came through the breast pockets. Unfortunately I did not check to see the work that was done before picking up my blazer, which was a very bad decision in retrospect, but I was in a rush. So, I didn’t find out about the damage until I opened my garment bag just hours before the wedding.
When I returned I brought my blazer back to Nordstrom, where I purchased it, to get repairs done because I needed it again promptly for another event. I didn’t expect to get much back from Green Cleaners, even though I felt they owed me a new blazer entirely, but I saved my repair receipts and the broken buttons so I could at least get reimbursed for that cost. I also got a quote for the price of new mother-​of-​pearl buttons, which are more expensive than the plastic replacements. In total, the repair cost came to $ 20. So I brought the repair receipts and broken buttons back to Green Cleaners to at least get some money back for the $ 400+ blazer they had ruined. I thought that was more than fair, even generous.
But when I arrived I experienced something quite different. The owner of Green Cleaners became very defensive, even when I showed him the broken buttons, and tried to say that the buttons were cheap, the suit was cheap, etc. and that it was not his fault. I was patient and told him that while I’m sure he usually does a fine job, he did not with my blazer. All I asked for was $ 20 back to cover the repair costs, and I brought the receipts and shattered buttons to show him, as well as the blazer with the repairs. He offered $ 10 while at the same time denying responsibility, which I did not take. All I wanted was the reimbursement for the repair, which I thought was more than fair, but he refused.
I thought I was being an understanding customer — everyone makes mistakes and I was able to get them repaired (still not back to 100%, the blazer now looks more worn, but decent enough) — but he would not take any responsibility for his work and chose instead to provide bad customer service. I told him I was going to write this review, so he knows. I just want to give a fair-​warning to others who may find themselves in a similarly unfortunate situation.

I have used this place many times, including cleaning elaborate silk dresses here, and I’ve never had a problem. The price is reasonable for cleaning and it’s a well run, friendly shop.

I’ve been taking my clothes here for a little over a year now. They do a really good job and the best part is that its so close to work.
The owners are always there and are nice & friendly. It takes a few days for dry cleaning, but I think its comparable to most places. I feel like they might be a tiny more expensive than your average dry cleaners, but I’d pay more for good service and convenience any day.

It’s a very friendly place and they are quick. The wow factor for me is that they signed for a package for me. (I live in the building) and held it for me. Great people and great prices

Given the green aspect of this new business and it’s convenience to my route to and from work I took some items here for cleaning, including removal some grease spots. I also asked for the hem on a couple of pairs of pants to be let down.
The turn around was just a few days and the cleaning came out fine. The alterations work didn’t turn out as well. While the hem was dropped the original stitching and hemline are readily apparent. Maybe the crease from the original hem couldn’t be pressed out but I would have hoped that they would have called it out instead of leaving me to find it.
So I won’t hand over an alterations again but I might drop off some cleaning in the future

Nice new dry cleaners across the street from Safeway and Group Health on 15^th in Capitol Hill. I switched here after years of trekking out of my way to another cleaners down the other side of the hill towards downtown.
I was really hesitant, because who wants to have your shirts turned all green? No, seriously, I’ve tried a bunch of other dry cleaners but kept going to the out-​of-​the-​way one because the other places took too long, cost to much, or didn’t do a great job, etc.
But now that I’ve tried this place, I think it’s pretty close to becoming my go-​to dry cleaner for all my fancy + work-​related outfits. Seems fast, clean décor, they have a little computer print-​out of what you brought and can look up your record if you lose the receipt/​slip. Little stuff, but nice.
The «green» part has something to do with not using quite as many harsh chemicals as typical «dry» cleaning requires. It’s not 100% non-​toxic, but every little bit helps (if you believe that global warming claptrap the liberal eco-​terrorists are trying to shove down our throats).
