Completely average place. Wasn’t super crowded around 12:30 on a Saturday with a major event(Pride) about to happen literally steps away on the Plaza, which should have been a clue. They were serving both breakfast and lunch. Decent amount of vegetarian options. I wasn’t too hungry so I just got a Caprese sandwich. Sandwich was delicious(but can you really screw up cheese, tomato, and pesto?) Got the homemade potato chips with it, which were just meh.

The best thing about San Francisco Bar and Grill is that it is a convenient place to eat before going to the Lensic. This place really doesn’t have much atmosphere and the food is average. The staff is nice but either the waiter or the kitchen made a mistake on 3 of our 5 orders, when the place was not at all busy. All were corrected but an annoyance.

Decided to give this place a try looking for something light and simple for a bite to eat. Our dinner consisted of a bottle of wine, nachos and a bowl of soup. It took us over a hour and a half to have dinner. The food was ok. The service was underwhelming to be nice. The server told us «It’s only me, but my manager is helping. Honestly they purposefully understaff us every night.»

Always terrible. Unfortunately, my parents always want to eat here and every time we go it’s horrible. We’ve been coming for years and finally we’ve convinced our parents that the convenience(there’s never a wait) is NOT worth it. Food is awful, service is horrendous and the atmosphere is terrible. Foods frozen, nothing is made from scratch, the service is always so slow, expect to wait for hours and the prices are ridiculous. Don’t waste your time, experience or money.

My wife and I had dinner here on a Thursday night in April 2016. We liked it, even though there were not many people eating here at 6pm. We ordered chili relleno(stuffed pepper) and it was excellent. The bowl of chili, a different menu item, was also good. My fettuccine and veggie dish was not so great(good noodles but the over-boiled green beans came out of the can). The $ 7 house margarita was excellent. The dining room is large and reminds me of a cafeteria. Prices are affordable. Our entire meal for 2 with cocktails came to $ 47. The restaurant is on the 2nd floor. This is a pretty good choice for dinner in downtown Santa Fe’s historic district.

We really enjoyed our meal with Beau and his wonderful chefs. The meal was made perfect and the price was well worth it. We chose the restaurant because of the appetizing smells wafting to the street. We were pleasantly surprised by the quality because it looked a little diner like… but the food was 4 stars. Highly recommend. We have this on our permanent go back to Santa Fe and eat here list.

Disappointing in a town filled with great food options. We went in for a drink and an appetizer at the bar. The bartender was clearly disappointed in how small our order was(2pm in the afternoon by the way) and had no problem showing it when he asked«is that it?». The food was ok but it took 20 mins to get guacamole and a quesadilla. It took another 30 mins to get the bill after literally waving my arms in the air to get the bartender to look our way. The food was fine but the service was a major disappointment.

We walked around the Plaza trying to find a good casual-to-nice restaurant and finally gave this a shot. Sooooo glad we came in– amazing fresh food and everything that we tried was better than we could have wished for. We had the New Mexico combo plate and the enchiladas. The green chile was so remarkable that my husband said that he wasn’t going to brush his teeth tonight: D. An efficient, attentive server, Desiree, made our experience really outstanding and comfortable. We highly recommend this place for a great meal. Local brews on tap just topped it off.

I agree with the other reviews about the reasonable«plaza» pricing. I come here for good American food whenever I’m in town. Had the pork chop tonight and it was AMAZING. Gravy was very good along with fresh vegetables.

Disastrous! We had 7:30 reservations for 6 adults and 3 kids. Rather than going to our usual fancy, late venue for New Year’s Eve, we chose a family friendly Restaurant for the kids, ages 1 thru 9. It is now 9:32 and we have not been fed. Our waiter, Jude has tried, but the kitchen and management have been outrageously incompetent. It took more than an hour for simple appetizers to be served. The appetizers were fine, but it’s hard to screw up nachos and black beans. The Carne adovada quesadilla was really good. Yes, it’s New Year’s Eve, but that should have meant that management prepared for a large crowd and was ready with sufficient kitchen help, food and waitstaff. Again, I repeat… WEHADRESERVATIONS! It is now 9:48 and we are leaving for Wendy’s. None of the orders were correct. K ordered prime rib med-rare. She was served a piece of grey meat that was inedible. R’s steak salad meat was so tough she couldn’t cut it. I got so fed up(not fed) that I cancelled my order. M’s pork was not recognizable. Everything was HORRIBLE, including the owner/manager’s response regarding the prime rib: «we have 4 pieces left and that’s your’s. We don’t have enough meat because we ran out.» It just went downhill after that.

We came here because we had a large group and they had the room to seat us. It’s a spacious restaurant on the second floor. My husband and I ordered the nachos which were okay. The cheese, beans, and chicken weren’t attached to the chips very well so we ended up eating deconstructed nachos instead. My brother and sister-in-law ordered the Mediterranean salad as an appetizer which looked delicious! Beware that it’s a lot of food so remember to share! We ordered the fudge bites with chipotle raspberry sauce for dessert. My mom loves raspberry, but was weary to order this as the chipotle turned her off. I ordered it anyway and my mom was practically licking the plate clean because she loved it.

The food was good. Not great but good just an average Mexican American café. The service was friendly but everything was entirely over priced. The restaurant charge an excessive amount of gratuity on our ticket with no explanation. This was a stop during our tour of downtown Santa Fe and we will not be back!

This is a really nice place, and they have some great food! Service was a bit slow when the restaurant was between the lunch and dinner rush, that was a bit disappointing. But the food was worth the wait! Make sure that you ask about the specials, when we were there, the specials were to die for! Creative chefs for sure!

It was not busy. Took forever to get service. Notice our server eating while working and touching our food without washing hands. I don’t think you’re even suppose to have lunch while your shift. SMH. Ordered ginger mules and bartender sucked at making them, didn’t even taste nearly as a mule drink. Mind you this would be the second time my girlfriend and I have been here. Customer service course is needed here.

Great place! Stopped by for a drink but ended up getting quesadillas and calamari with drinks. Both plates were GREAT. I recommend the quesadillas, very tasty and filled with yummy goodness; they are packed with cheese and meat. I ordered a John Daly(vodka lemonade) and I LOVEDIT. it was refreshing and not too strong. It was served in a regular glass – which is a lot for any vodka drink. My dad ordered a la cumbre beer(a locally made beer) and was happy with it. My mom ordered the calamari and loved it. My folks and I appreciated the fine service and attention we received. It’s rare to find a place where workers are attentive, friendly and genuine.

I stopped by with my mum during a visit from Denver. The only reason we went is because it was the only place close that was open. We got the house margaritas(tasty), I got the Flautas and my mum got Chile Rellanos. I had asked for two potato and one cheese(instead of getting one chicken, one cheese, one potato). When our order came, I received two chicken and one cheese — no big deal. Told the server and she went to fix it, only to find out they were out of potato. This would have been fine if I was told, but I wasn’t and was offered another cheese(which I didn’t want). When my server came back she said the cook found another potato. Ok. The food tasted frozen then microwaved. Was not impressed. Service was fine but the only thing I enjoyed was my margarita.

I agree with the writer who said this place rates a ‘meh’. Visited on a Monday night with few people in the place. We saw the special signs outside and ordered them. The waiter(who looked about 12 years old) looked at us like we were nuts. He was quite disdainful too. Turns out these were lunch specials. Note to manager: CHANGEYOURFRIGGINSPECIALBOARD. The wait service was terrible– slow and with a side of arrogance. My wife ordered the chicken sandwich I had the enchiladas. Average. Luckily, I ordered the salsa on the side(which I had to explain to the waiter– again, more distain) even the red is HOT! If I could give a ½ star, I would. Find another restaurant!

AWFULSERVICERATINGSHOULDBE –0! Sat down at 6pm, ordered drinks and then our meal. 45 minutes later, we barely had drink refills, no meal and other patrons around us who came after us were being served. When we asked the waitress, she said«it’s coming, I can see it». Time passes, nothing. Then, the waitress came up to us and ask 2 of us if we ordered the Pork Chop and Steak, and we said«are you just putting this order in?’ She relied, No she just like to check. Finally, after NEVER receiving our meal after more then an hour, we talked to I presume, was the poor excuse for the owner/manager, and he never apologized. In fact none of them did, and the Owner said we were welcome to leave. This is the 2nd time we have had BADSERVICE at this place. We are LOCALS and will be sure to spread the word! SHAMEONYOUANDYOURPOORCUSTOMERSERVICE! By the way, the food is mediocre!

This place just embodies the word«meh». The prices are pretty standard plaza prices($ 10 – 20 for an entrée) but the product… super lacking. The atmosphere is terrible. Looks like they converted a Golden Corral or something and turned it in to this awful aesthetic lacking anything remotely trendy. Throwback to the 80s-90s, but not in a good way. The staff laughed and joked loudly while ignoring the customers. The pasta was homemade… the only positive. Everything was bland. The food, the décor, the service. Skip this place, and head somewhere more worth your time and money.

My daughter, one of my friends and I recently spent a day in Santa Fe, NM. We walked round and round town visiting museums and shops and galleries. We were spent and hot and tired! We were also hungry. My friend suggested that we stop by a nearby restaurant, but didn’t tell us that we had to hike up stairs to get inside the restaurant. Fortunately for me, they also have an elevator because I was too beat to walk up all those stairs. Here’s what we ordered: Fresh Chips and Salsa — Tasty Fried Calamari — Properly cooked and not overly done or tough. Calamari can easily be destroyed, but theirs wasn’t. Could have used some more seasoning, but not bad at all. Chicken Burrito — My friend said his burrito was tasty and it looked appetizing. Shrimp Enchiladas — Came with Spanish rice, black beans and avocado. Served«Christmas» with part green chile sauce and red chile sauce. I enjoyed the green chile sauce because it actually had a mix of seasonings. I didn’t really enjoy the red chile sauce because it was pretty much one note with heat being the predominant factor in the sauce and the texture was a little pasty. Overall a decent dish, with the exception of the red chile sauce. Chicken Tacos — Delicioso! Moist, well-seasoned chicken and fresh ingredients. I would order these tacos again and again! The atmosphere at the restaurant is pleasant enough and it’s centrally located and not hard to find. So, would I go out of my way for this restaurant, probably not. But if you’re in the area and need a decent meal with helpful service, this is your place.
