I had a pulled pork sandwich and the pork was smoked very well. He doesn’t slather it in sauce which is always a good sign(those that do, are compensating for the lack of flavor on their meet). The pork was just a little dry for my liking(personal preference, I’m sure others like it) so I did put a small amount of sauce on. I tried his non-hot one and I’m glad I did, it was almost too spicy for me. I have a low-tolerance for heat, so it’s probably just me. Tasted great though. I had the cornbread for the side, and that was a bit disappointing. It was gluten free, and I’ve yet to find anything good that was. I will definitely be going back to try the ribs, and the brisket. I would order the pork again too.

Man, I sooo wanted this bbq to be good. I grew up on OKC bbq and am a big fan. This is my second time here and it just really missed the mark both times. Last time, I got brisket and cornbread. The brisket was super oily and the cornbread was a gigantic slab of greasy blandness. I decided that it was probably just a bad day. Tonight I gave it another chance but was severely disappointed. I got coleslaw(bland), mac and cheese(blander) and ribs. The ribs were basically shoe leather which was so disappointing since my bf got the ribs last time and they were pretty tasty. I want to say it was another bad night but how many bad nights can a place have before it’s just bad?

Gotta say, KC style is not my personal favorite style o’ the cue(a little too sweet from the molasses base in the sauce— plus, I just don’t care for super messy/saucey meat). Even so, even so. This man has real talent. The brisket was near flawless, prominent dark pink smoke ring is the key to it all although. The brisket I’ve tried there was perhaps a little fatty(the dog sure wasn’t complaining about the extra scraps in her food dish). The pork ribs were quite tender, smokey and flavorful, and quite meaty. The gentleman also included a honkin’ huge chunk of polenta corn bread, which was so rich, buttery and yummy. I’m truly glad I go to ‘meet’ the man and his BBQ…

Wow. Pretty good stuff. Had the burnt ends and mac n cheese. Meat was awesome. The homemade. BBQ sauce which I like both the spicy and the regular were perfect. This was my first time eating here but will not be my last looking forward to trying other meats.

Maybe I came on a bad day, but the food here was kind of a bummer. The brisket was super dry and felt overcooked. The ribs were nicely flavored, but had the same extra dry chewing on leather texture as the brisket. In terms of sides, the corn bread tasted ridiculously salty. I really wanted to love this place, but I’m not sure I’ll go back.

So good. The brisket which tasty and not tough. Ribs were big and tasty too. I liked the collard green, thought the slaw was ok for slaw but loved the beans. Oh and the corn bread was good too. Different than any cornbread I have had and was a little dry. Staff was very friendly too. Will def go back

**Slow clap, slow clap x 3, etc** Congratulations Meet BBQ for being literally the worst barbecue I’ve had the displeasure of eating. The other day, in the mood for some tender, juicy bbq, I ordered a brisket sandwich from this cart excited to try some Kansas style brisket. «10 minutes,» the guy said«and it will be ready.» Okay, fairly reasonable. I am just fine with waiting for some well-prepared meat. 10 minutes pass and my order is ready. To my shock I was presented with a plate of a toasted dinner roll tightly sandwiching the thinnest, driest, toughest brisket I had ever seen. Similar to old strips of bark, there was zero moisture in the meat so I added a generous amount of BBQ sauce from a bottle in the hopes of reviving it. Despite the added sauce I nearly broke my teeth trying to bite into my brisket — it was literally drier than most jerky I’ve had. Besides the sandwich I also ordered a side of cole slaw which actually dominated the meal in both portion and flavor. I’m not one to go back and return food, nor am I one to waste food once paid for, so I unhappily choked down what I could and immediately headed home for some water. My experience may not be the norm, but it was terrible enough for me to avoid this place forever.

We passed by the long Saturday brunch lines at Tasty N’ Sons and Gravy today and ended up at «Meet BBQ» at the N Mississippi Marketplace Food pods. I had perfectly cooked-to-order eggs with delicious, thinly-sliced, perfectly cooked brisket, and cornbread with a crisp buttery shell-crust and a soft luscious interior. My husband had smoky, melt-off-the-bone ribs with sides of flavorful roasted fresh vegetables and cooked greens infused with bacon. What could be more tasty for breakfast? We sat outside in the sun today but noticed there is plenty of rain-proof, heated covered seating right there at the pods. The pods are connected by a spacious deck to the Prost restaurant where you can get drinks and eat your Pod food inside or out if you wish. A great combination of comfort and flavor, and the best prices in town!

Meet was our second stop in the cart community this morning, so we weren’t terribly hungry. We decided to get the«Sammi,» which in its original form is like a sloppy Joe with lettuce. I’m gluten free(most days), so we opted for a deconstructed sandwich minus the bread, with polenta on the side. The polenta was just grits, but more watery than creamy. The scrambled eggs were fluffy. You could tell though that milk or cream was added because the color was more beige than yellow. It came with a nice side salad – greens were very fresh and light with a light and tangy lemon vinaigrette. We tried the two tomato based sauces which had a good mix of tangy, sweet, and smoky flavor.(We didn’t try the mustard based Kansas City sauce.) Now on to the main events… I am admittedly not a big fan of brisket because it tends to be very dry and flavorless. But Meet’s brisket was flavorful, well marbled, and thinly sliced. It had a smidge of smoky flavor and paired nicely with their home made hot barbeque sauce. The Boston baked beans were definitely homemade. I like my beans to be a bit sweeter and stickier, but they were generally good beans. I would go back and try their different sides, especially the roasted veggies since they are selected fresh everyday. But I will stick with Podnah’s to satisfy my cravings for smoky meaty BBQ.
