Lisa’s Lip Smackin Kitchen

I was watching a Ducks game at Maui’s and ordered a burger from this place and it took over an hour for it to arrive. Was I at a 5 star restaurant? Was i waiting for a mindblowing Michelin meal? No, I was waiting for FOOD CART food. When my food came an hour later it came COLD. I will NEVER order food from this place ever again. Terrible, terrible service and the food isn’t even warm.

A very welcome addition to this little food cart pod, Lisa’s seems to be primarily centered on burgers. However she also does breakfast biscuit/​sandwich items (mmm mmmm tasty!) and also wood-​smoked bbq, so that should clue you in as to what I felt duty-​bound to order on my maiden voyage to her trailer window. I am a lone soul, a pilgrim traveler, afterall, on a never-​ending cosmic quest to find the best doggone bbq in the universe…
Although her sauce is decidedly on the sweet end of the spectrum — my personal preference being much spicier– it was rich and flavorful and neither masked nor overpowered the meat. Her brisket was good, her pork ribs were superb (so dang tender and fall-​off-​the bone! Savor some a’ that action!). We also enjoyed her collared greens and 3 cheese mac for sides.
Final verdict: Excellent burgers, excellent bbq, very good sides, friendly service, and decent value. She’s only been open since December, and here’s hoping she perserveres into the busier summer months, and also when local foot traffic will naturally increase w/​the opening of the New Seasons across the street. This one’s a winner, please consider checking her out, helping keep her afloat as she grows the doggone bidness!
