I love that meatball wizard. Their vegan sandwiches are the best in town. Their bread is fresh, their meatballs are fantastic. I wish they’d reopen the one in St. Johns.

I like being able to build my own sandwich and get it toasted in the panini press. I also like the cookies! I’ve never had a problem trying to find parking, either.

Can you say best sandwiches in town !!! Finding a good Vegetarian/Vegan /Meat Sandwich place with fair prices is harder than you think ! This place literally trumps! The bread is always perfect. The Sauces !!! The Sauces !! From first glacé it looks like an ordinary sandwich but after that first bite of fresh house made sauce you be as hooked as i am. The location is not the biggest but they have cute outdoor seating when the weather is nice. Also try the soup ! They also make that in house ! Fresh Produce. Sauce made in house … Fresh Perfect Bread … Im in love ! xoxo

I just had one of the most delicious sandwiches I’ve ever tasted. The bread is out of this world, and so is everything else there. I love how much care goes into sourcing the right ingredients, into preparation and service. I’m just a tourist, but I wish I could take Brass Tacks to my town, I’d be there all the time. Love it!

Sandwiches were tasty though very small for the price. Service was extremely slowwwww and the hipster fella making the sanny was not the friendliest. Don’t think I’ll be back.

Awesome sandwiches, great service. I work around the corner and love having this place nearby.

Not worth it. The sandwich was perfectly cromulent — good chewy bread and slightly spicy slaw, but the pulled pork was dry and bland. For $ 8.50 for a hoagie slightly bigger than a 6″ sandwich, I’d expect much more.

Not as in love with this place as I was prior. Watched an employee dig into a big bag of chips with her hand, then handle 3 customers money, then go back to making sandwiches. Gross! Also, they ran out of their great sandwich loaf so they substituted some crummy ciabatta bread instead(without telling me — I’m pretty sure it was from New Seasons down the road). I should have had the option NOT to eat that bread!

The vegan options are incredible and make me want to consider being vegan. The potato salad was so good. Every sandwich I’ve had was so good. Prices are extremely reasonable. I daydream about these sandwiches when I’m near St. Johns

Pretty much my fave! Sandwiches are simple things, but when done right are amazing. These folks use the best bread with the best ingredients. The pickles are awesome. Love this place!

Today was my first time here, and man was I blown away! Harmonious ingredient combinations in each sandwich. It was like a magical tastebud symphony in each bite. I was sad I got full and my sandwich ran out because I ate it all too fast. They cater to all the dietary masses in an all-inclusive safe-space for sandwich eaters! Also, it’s a rockin’ woman-owned business that focuses on showcasing local ingredients and beverages, so what’s not to love?!

I went to Brass Tacks for the first time yesterday and got the Turkey to the Limit sandwich(panini pressed, which is, I think, the way to go). I am not a huge sandwich fan in general, but my boyfriend needed a quick spot for his lunch break, and so I figured it would be ok. This turkey sandwich blew my mind. It’s delicious enough to potentially make me fall in love with sandwiches. My boyfriend made his own concoction, and he liked it, though he regretted not getting it panini-style). He also got a side of potato salad, which was delicious. The serving size of the potato salad was too big for the two of us to finish, though. They gave us a punch card, which I can guarantee I will fill. I’m coming back for that turkey sandwich.

I haven’t had a sandwich this good in a long long time! Good customer service, and the vegan options are amazing. I think this place being so close to my apartment is going to be a problem thankful to have stumbled across it though! Can’t wait to try all the other sandwiches :) I enjoyed the vegan salami sandwich and was on cloud 9

I go here too much. I can’t stop. It’s too good. I can’t wrap my head around this vegan magic. Even my husband loves the vegan sandwiches. Velveta Underground five thumbs up!

So delicious I got a second one to go. Come in on the weekend before 2 pm for the brunch menu, it’s a great deal. They provide Trivial Pursuit cards to enjoy while you wait for them to make your sandwich fresh.

Well, one thing’s for sure… Brass Tacks makes good sandwiches. I chose the turkey, panini-press style. Mmmmmmm… so delicious! Warm ciabatta bread filled with lots of turkey and big chucks of perfectly-ripe avocado were in total harmony with the well-seasoned tomato jam. Best turkey sandwich I’ve had in a long time. Also, very fulling. Also also, comes with potato chips. Now, here’s the catch. This turkey sandwich is going to put you out $ 8.50, which is a bit of money for a sandwich, even if it is one of the best sandwiches in town. Also, I came in at lunchtime on a weekend… took them 20 minutes to make my sandwich. 20 minutes is a long time, especially if you happen to be working with a 30 minute lunch. Make these two things better by searching out the Chinook Book coupon for 50% off a sandwich and by not coming in at peak lunch hours. I liked how they wrapped the sandwich… brown butcher paper and a rubber band. Cute. Trivial Pursuit on the tables if you’re a highly intelligent and easily bored individual!

Not my cup of tea. I’m a carnivore and this place seems to specialize in vegan. The flavor profile of the turkey it to limit sandwich didn’t satisfy me. It gets great reviews, so by all means give them a try. Just wasn’t for me. I don’t expect to be back.

A sandwich place I had bookmarked for quite some time. I am glad I got a chance to get over here. Fresh bread from Fleur De Lis, meat from Thumanns and fresh veggies make for a really good sandwich, even if it could have been a bit bigger. I took one of my wanders around the neighborhood and a five mile wander it was. My feet are paying the price as I write this. A midpoint stop at Brass Tacks was a welcome place to stop on this cold day. I made it there after the lunch rush so there was no wait, but being that place place is small, I can’t see how that would look. I went for the Salami to Introduce Myself sandwich with fresh French bread, shaved red onions, black olives, pepperoncinis, provolone, mayo, mustard and balsamic reduction with a little S&P for seasoning. A really well done sandwich and apparently the favorite choice of the person making my food. A good balance and nothing overpowered. The Tim’s Potato Chips were also a good side. They make fresh sides as well and all the sauces are made in-house. They accomplish quite a bit for such a small place and I commend them on that. I will gladly return to try one of the other offerings. Enjoy.

The sandwiches are where it’s at and puts the crowded NoPo sandwich scene to shame. The service is… spotty. I can do without the hipster ‘tude — look, I get that my clothes are hole, tatter, and stain free, but my money is green, well, it’s a credit card, but dammit, I tip well. Aside from tasty sammiches, they go the extra mile for the GF and vegan crowd, taking painstaking time to change gloves and clean surfaces when making the GF sammich order for my mother-in-law. Bravo, Brass Tacks, bravo.

Dear god this place was amazing I got the vegan meatball and it was better than any real meat meatballs I’ve had. Pretty much Everything made in house. Homey feel with amazing staff. Side of potato salad was perfect and chips with every sandwich ordered. If you are low on cash they have dirt cheap options like the ham and cheese for four dollars otherwise expect so spend 8 – 11 on the sandwich. Which by the way was enough for two people easy. They have earned a long time customer.
