Stoopid Burger

I was so looking forward to trying this place out, based on all of the glowing reviews. Got a Groupon, score!
Went there, tried to order. It was an hour before closing, and they were out of the first five things we tried to order — no fish, no Luni, no to two other burgers, no Stoopid Juice. Bummer, but hey… food cart life, right? So I ordered chicken strips with fries and my companion ordered the Guac Burger. Total came to exactly $ 20, the Groupon amount. I wanted to leave a tip, so we added a Shasta Fruit Punch to break a bill, and then I left a tip. Wish I could have taken it back after the fact… I really should have.
I was presented with two chicken nugget sized pieces and one tiny chicken strip on a small bed of soggy, oily fries. SO disappointing. When I went to the window and said, essentially, «Hey, shouldn’t there be more chicken for $ 9? I feel cheated and it’s not cool to have customers feel like they got ripped off,» the girl there said, «You didn’t pay no $ 9. You paid $ 1.50» The Shasta cost $ 1.50. I countered, saying, «I paid $ 13 for the Groupon prior to this, so in fact I have paid more than $ 1.50 and should have gotten $ 9 worth of food.» Then she called over the cook guy, said I had a problem with the chicken strips, I started to explain to him about the chicken and the fries, and he argued with me that the fries weren’t soggy. (I’ll attach a pic and you can be the judge.) I said I was just sharing my disappointment, so they could prevent letting down potential future customers, and the girl said, «Well what are we supposed to do about it?» with a lot of attitude, as she walked away from the window. I said better customer service or even an «I’m sorry» for my crappy experience would have been nice. She was no longer listening, and the guy just stood there. I said, you know what, I’ll be getting my money back from Groupon, so at least I’m not out of pocket more than a few bucks (Shasta and tip) for this crap experience. I did, in fact, get my money back from Groupon. But really, their food (burger was lackluster and not enjoyed either) was bad, and the service even worse, so I felt like sharing. You might go here and be wowed, or you might heed these words and proceed with caution or avoid it altogether. Either way, I’d be stupid to return to Stoopid Burger, so I’ll be grabbing a bite elsewhere, at any of the numerous businesses around town that actually appreciate their customers.

The «almost there» is like a bar burger from the 70’s — and I mean that in a good way. Nothin’ precious about it.

when you call there number you get a message that says that the number you are calling has a voicemail box that has not been set up yet. that is the most stupid
issue i have ever seen. they surely live up to there name. maybe dum
burger is what they should be called. but they are «stupid”+++ why waste my time talking about stupidity. i think there cart is ugly and frankly i would not after see ing it, i would be reluctant to eat out of it. it is old and the color, s are őbnoxious. i hope if i take the time to call multnomah county environmental services that they have passed their inspections with flying numbers.

I really wanted to be super impressed based on all the reviews but can only give these guys 3 stars.
Stoopid Burger is right across from New Season’s in a dark parking lot — not the best location to attract lots of business. The burger itself are pretty good in my opinion. I don’t like a lot of burgers but the meat was well seasoned and had good flavor. The prices super cheap. For less than 5 bucks you can get yourself a cheeseburger and some french fries!
Now the turn off is that we waited over half and hour for our burgers. That is way too long for any food truck unless you end up with out of this world food. These guys have potential but what makes this place not as great as others is that they use low-​quality ingredients for their food. Cheap hamburger buns, frozen french fries that you can buy in bulk at Costco or something and their «cheddar» cheese is actually Kraft American… The grilled cheese is a hamburger bun grilled with some kraft american cheese inside.
Also SPOILER ALERT: Their stoopid juice is definitely Cherry Kool-​Aid.
Not sure if I’d be back but the crew that runs this joint is super nice and offers some great customer service but they really need to up the quality of their ingredients.

Are you hungry? Do you enjoy flavor? well this is the place for you. FAT juicy burger better than any burger place I’ve had and it’s a food cart. The sweetest people greet you and they give you the feeling that you have to come back. Then after you get that burger in your mouth you know your coming back for more. The best place to support local business and for great NO AMAZING BUGERS. It be stoopid to go anywhere else. THANK YOU !

five stars because the customer service, the burgers, the fries, the stoopid juice and the lemonade are alllllllllll delicious! I got the stoopid burger and my girl got the luni burger, they were both amazing. can’t wait to go back.

I ordered a chicken tenders and fries meal for $ 9.00 plus a can of coke for $ 1.50. The chicken tenders were white meat and crunchy on the outside and juicy on the inside. That’s what I have that 1 star for, besides that, it’s all downhill from there. The seating area is a literal parking lot full of gravel. This isn’t one of those nice paved, clean tables surrounded by light and choice of food cart.
Btw, plan to put on sunscreen because their 3 tables does not offer shade at all. There’s a little green house room where you can sit, but of course you’ll get that green house effect. (It feels like being inside an oven!)
This order and a burger took almost half an hour of wait. Meanwhile, there were 3 young girls that went there and spent all of 5 minutes and had their order, turned out they called ahead.
Well, thanks for letting ALL your customers know that we can call ahead, if I had known that, I would definitely have preferred to do that instead of wait in the sweltering heat of the noon day sun.
There were 5 small to medium slices of this chicken tenders with a handful of those fries that you can buy frozen at any store for around $ 2 a pound. The chicken tenders were okay, but not even 10 minutes of walking from this food truck is mother-​lovin Popeye’s.
In fact, the little food that I paid $ 10.50 here and waited half an hour for, left me hungry. That I actually went to Popeye’s right after and got myself a 4 piece white meat only (two breasts and two wings) with a biscuit and Cajun rice with an apple pie, cost me $ 10.98.
Dude, you’re a food truck, people expect competitive price from you.
So no, I will definitely NOT coming back here. And I don’t recommend this place. Good name though, I definitely felt «stoopid» paying for that much to get so little, to wait for so long.

The Luni Burger was fantastic, the perfect combination of sweet and hot, and the blue cheese and Stoopid Sauce made it an umami bomb in the best possible way! Fries are pretty great too, so well seasoned that you won’t need ketchup even though it’s provided. But, most importantly, a great group of guys. Despite the fact that it was mercilessly hot in their trailer today, these fellas clearly enjoy what they’re doing and take pride in delivering a quality product at a fair price. The burgers are huge and messy so be forewarned. I’ll definitely be back soon.

Hands down the best find! I got the Wacky Chicken and my husband got the Stoopid Burger. Both were delicious, perfectly cooked, fresh and fabulous. The chicken was breaded and fried perfectly, a crisp outside and juicy moist center of meaty goodness. My husbands, he said, was amazing and showed evidence of that by a quickly emptied burger wrapper. The fried are great with a little salt and pepper. Now about the owners… they are hilarious. They make you feel like a regular even when it’s your first time. They are kind, quick with the food, and will give you a good laugh keeping you entertained while you wait. If I’m ever in Portland again, it will be to visit these guys!

My husband raved about the Stoopid burger for hours after we ate there. I got the almost there burger that was also great. I’m not sure what the Stoopid juice was, but it was refreshing and tasty and definitely with the try!

I just tried this place out last week. I ordered the Stoopid Burger. It was AWESOME!!! One of the best burgers I’ve ever had. It’s not one of the healthiest, though. The food truck is located two blocks north from Legacy Emanuel Hospital, which is a good thing. If your heart stops while eating this burger, the ambulance won’t have far to come get you. :-) I will definitely be back!

Service was just fine. Food is good, and they aren’t lying when they call them hot links! Pretty spicy stuff, so now you know. The Stoopid sauce was a good flavor as well. I liked that they had different types of canned soda, which meant I was able to get a strawberry float. The Stoopid juice is a mix of all types and although very sweet, it was pretty tasty as well. We enjoyed the food and can say you will probably be happy with your decision to go there.

If you’re in the NE side of Portland looking for a quality sit and eat or quality take and go, you have to try Stoopid Burger. Located between Fremont and Vancouver st. Stoopid Burger is the the yellow chuck wagon with the silly burger face on the side. If the picture doesn’t catch your eye, please believe the fresh smell of quality food will be sure to reel you in. Stoopid Burger has that hometown backyard BBQ feel, with friendly staff and quality service, these artists will be sure to put a stoopid smile on your face for sure.
Now, let’s talk food. My first experience here was great! I chose one of their signature burgers with a side of crinkle cut fries. The Luni Burger was my go to choice. This consisted of a grass fed ½ pound beef patty, topped with the works even a vegan would pay homage to. Blue cheese, grilled onions, jalapeño, bacon, LTP (Lettuce, tomato, pickle) and the mango pineapple habanero chutney sauce is the way to go. The burger was juicy, cooked to a perfect medium well. The elements of meat and veggie work well and compliment each other. Surprised by the the size of the burger, I expected to the patty to overwhelm and compromise my dining experience. But nevertheless; Stoopid Burger keeps it on point. The bun was well portioned to the burger patty, and a side of Stoopid sauce will be sure to complete your dining experience.
Overall I would absolutely come back to dine and sample everything on the menu. Perfect for friends and family, come by on a nice warm day and enjoy a Stoopid Burger today! I give Stoopid Brurger a solid 4 ½ stars.

Stoopid Burger is definitely one of the up and coming food carts you have to try. Their food was affordable and good. Try the Stooped Burger!

These guys can make a pretty legit burger. I had the Luni burger and it was pretty fantastic. My biggest issue is something they can easily adjust. I thought the beef patty and the buns were a little generic and plain. That’s it. Everything else was bomb. The bacon, the bleu cheese, the sauce, everything! Give it a try!

Visiting Portland from California, and stopped at Stoopid Burger thanks to Groupon! Glad I did! It definitely wasn’t what I was expecting from the outside, but I’m glad I didn’t let it deter me, because their burgers really were Stoopid good! :)
I ordered the Stupid Burger (Beef, bacon, ham, hot link, egg, cheese, lettuce, tomato, onion, pickle and stoopid sauce) My boyfriend ordered the Silly Guacamole Burger (Beef, guacamole, bacon, black olives and COOL RANCH DORITOS!!). Both burgers were REALLY good and stupid messy (I used 3 napkins and 3 paper towels… haha!) Definitely not a burger you want to eat while driving! The burgers came with fries, but unfortunately, neither of us were impressed. I would recommend asking for them without seasoning.
The guys that run the place were REALLY nice, and it was easy to tell they love what they do! I will definitely be back to «get my Stupid on» the next time I’m in town, and I definitely recommend the place!

I braved the heavy rains on Saturday to have this bad boy, the Stoopid Burger, at the Stoopid Burger food cart for the first time. Stupid Burger is parked exactly right where the Chez Dodo cart used to be on a private lot off of North Vancouver Avenue right across the street from New Seasons Market. The Stoopid Burger is a large beef patty topped with cheese, several slices of ham, bacon, a hot link, a fried egg, lettuce, tomato, pickles, and onion. The whole burger is tied together with a secret house sauce called «Stoopid Sauce» which, like all burger secret sauces, is an «umami bomb» intended to push flavor over the top. What sets this monster burger apart from other monster burgers I’ve had is the heavy seasoning used on both the burger and the fries. Speaking of the fries, you won’t get any ketchup with your fries because you won’t need any. The secret seasoning blend, which is a little spicy and very «savory», is so flavorful and applied so liberally I did not miss the ketchup! The fries were also very crispy.
I will be back to try the Luni Burger!

Love having this spot in the neighborhood. $ 5.50 buys a bacon cheeseburger and fries — cheap as (or cheaper than!) fast food but waaaay better quality. Tastes great actually. Love the burgers. Their fries use to be kinda crappy, but they upgraded to some nice crinkle cut fries. I actually think the burgers have gotten better over time too. Stop by, check it out.

Bomb. the burgers are crazy and delicious! I wish I had more stupid juice right now! Staff is friendly and thoughtful. Will definitely come back when I’m in the area visiting
