I don’t eat pork so I confirmed the brisket was beef before I ordered the sandwich. The chef asked if wanted to know because I don’t eat pork and said he would use a separate pan to avoid the pork fat. 5 star customer service. The brisket was smokey and tender, falling apart in the bun. The Mac was good, nice sharp cheddar and the corn bread was perfect, dry, crumbly and slightly sweet. I’ll be back!

Best ribs in this part of town. I’ve been hooked on this guy’s ribs and brisket. Before I had his brisket I probably would given a funny face to the idea of a thin brisket. This thin brisket is awesome. Classic and hearty as hell bbq beans with huge meat chunks. Slaw on the vinegar and sweet side of things not the creamy side. The ribs are just what I want. No sauce necessary. The sauce is there if you want it, a couple delicious kinds in fact, but I usually have most of the ribs without. If you want over-the-top-smokey ribs, you can walk down to miss delta. I prefer these.

I had breakfast here yesterday — Pulled Pork and Eggs with Polenta. Maybe it was the nice weather putting me in a good mood but I think this was the best pulled pork I’ve ever had. I’ll be back to try other«Meets». Great location adjoining Prost. — Next time I’ll go later in day and bring the food over to enjoy with a nice German beer.

Please read this with the full disclosure of not actually eating their food… I tried… Twice but no luck. The web site says it opens at 10:00 am, I show up at 10:45 on a Wednesday and there’s a sign posted that says 11am. I drive back over at 11:45… Still closed. The food must be spectacular to be able to open whenever you feel like it.

My first review! Yay! Okay so I came here today after reading the mercury and Oregonian reviews. It was AWESOME got the brisket and really it blew me away. Good over all experience, plate was very filling and I left happy.

This cart has put Kansas City BBQ on the map for me. I had pretty much dismissed BBQ made in the northwest, but MEET has made me a believer once more! Things you don’t want to miss: the welcome absence of over-sauced and underwhelming piles of pulled pork. INSTEAD find yourself confronted with a plate of high-quality, wood-smoked, sliced brisket or a triad of glistening spare ribs to make your knees wobbly. The sides are also not to be ignored: mixed braised greens and a vinegary coleslaw will put some pep in your afternoon. The cornbread is a dependable favorite, and two kinds of beans will give you enough options to keep coming back. I know I do.

We’ll never know what the food is like here. After driving 20+ minutes to try it, we got there, waited in line to place an order for about ten minutes(with a baby, under the sun mind you) only to THEN be told that they were backed up and would not take any orders for a long while. We would have appreciated that information when we got in line. Alas, that kind of service is a turn off, and we will not try again.

this car serves«kansas style bbq» not an expert about the styles but what i was told is that it means is that it’s got a bit less smoke to it and comes out without the sauces. this cart offers up plates for about $ 10. sandwich(«slider») for $ 5 sliders are $ 3 each and $ 2 for several sides the meats are pulled pork, brisket, pulled chicken, ribs etc. i liked the bbq«sliders» — they are really good. the sauces were very different from the usual bbq sauce. the red one uses a unique recipe and truly stands out as good and different. there was also a mustard based bbq sauce — not my thing. if you like bbq then i think it’s worth giving this place a try.

Best BBQ in Portland. This guy was cooking fine french cuisine in Portland before Vitaly Paley even got here. He took some time off from the culinary scene, but recently returned bringing his meticulous culinary background to his passion for BBQ. It is exceptional food. The Brisket is so full of succulent smokey flavor that the thin slices served here stun the pallet. The ribs are crunchy, chewy, slow cooked, not at all tough, and to die for. There are a lot of great sides, and breakfasts as well. No lines yet. Don’t waste time. Get down there.
