What you should know is that they serve the fries first as an appetizer and then 5 – 10 minutes later the burger is served. Yes, you read that right. THEBURGERANDFRIESCOMEOUTSEPARATELY. I really want to give FB4 stars, but they serve the fries before you get the burger which sort of ruined the experience. I like my fries and burger together and they don’t warn you. Ask for your burger and fries to be delivered at the same time and be happy because the food is delicious.

This place is a hidden gem, food… Fantastic. Service… Impeccable. I had a mini foster burger with extra fixings and poutine… Absolutely hit the spot. It was my first time here and I WILL be back. I’m so impressed.

The vibe, the food, and the service all needs much improvement! The wedge was tasteless, the fries tasted like a pot of oil, and burger a huge disappointment(cheese, bacon, tomatoes all for an extra fee) The atmosphere and overall vibe is demonic. Would not recommend and will not go back.

Came to Portland for a couple of days and this is one of the places that you need to come and have a burger!!! Place is really small but I felt that most of the places here at Portland are small. Burgers are great and they have lots of choices and you have to try the milkshakes

The service here is terribly slow. 10 minutes waiting to place my order, 20 for it to arrive on a Saturday afternoon when the palace was only half full. The burger was pretty good, but the cheese was thrown on at the last minute and unmelted. Overall a very disappointing experience.

Awesome! Second time… raised my star level to five… WOW. The most moist and fresh burger I have ever had and I have done my research. I was doing a best of Portland 2016 survey and I wanted to give a fair review, so I went in again today for some take out for me and a coworker. It knocked my socks off! Absolutely great! I had a foster burger with brie, bacon and grilled onions. He had a foster burger with cheddar. We shared an order of Foster Poutine… YES just Yes… fries piled with pork belly, gravy and cheese. Sound weird, tastes amazing!!! All around a fantastic experience both times.

2 points for poutine, it was just okay. –3 for the 30 minute wait, It seems like nobody can get this dish right. please warm up the curds people and fries should take like 15 minutes(because you’re not making them fresh… right?) Also please stop serving food on paper, it gets gross and soggy then I have to pick pieces of paper out of my food.

Ahhhh this place is gold. I’ve been here a few times. Shown to me by my boyfriend and this place legit shits on Killer Burger. The classic foster burger is amazing. The bun is amazing. The fries are amazing and the service is amazing. Anyone craving a good, affordable and not overrated burger, go here!

Best. Hamburgers. Anywhere. And the staff is kind, thoughtful, and lovely. I don’t have a single bad thing to say about the place except for the fact that it’s not connected to my house by a skybridge.

YUM! I love Foster Burger. Their classic burger is delicious and pretty hearty at only $ 6. The Kiwi Burger is also super good, especially for fans of beets like myself. You can order fries separately, but I split a small house salad with my fiancé and we were definitely happy with that.

24Feb16 @ 11:30am. Not crowded. Good friendly service. Bar ambience. Lighting could be turned up a bit. music could be turned down a bit. a little loud and together with the hard floors and walls made conversation difficult. 2 Foster Burgers and a Fries. Both dishes were quite good. nice bun, nice sauce. good burger. the fries were excellent. price was good. we will return.

Need a burger and a beer? This place will work. Good beers on tap and a damn good burger. I had the lamb burger and a side of fries. The burger was cooked perfectly. Lamb is so easy to dry out, but not this time. A nice medium kept it moist. The bun on the burger was great, served with a healthy side of mustard. The fries were crisp and hot, house cut I believe. Seeing some of the other creations coming out of the kitchen, I’ll have to come back. Next time I’m trying the black and white fries!!!

Well we’ve been there twice and we have been happy both times I highly recommend the black and white fries they are superb any burger you order you’re going to love it it’s a small restaurant and you may have to wait but they do turn their tables over fairly quickly they have a full bar nice nice waiters and waitresses and just kind of casual great eatery. Best meet you can possibly get for a burger. Anytime I want a burger that’s where I will be going from now on.

Excellent service from start to finish. Seating quickly and the waitress was at our table in less then a minute. This was our first trip, she pointed out the chalk board with all the beers and specials. She took her time and went over the«favorites». Drinks where out fairly quickly and refills right on time. I ordered the Apartment 3G drink and it was very good. Not sweet and not sour. Loved it! Food was out in less then 10 mins. Everything very fresh and tasty. Hubby ordered the burner? He loved it. Just the right spicy. I had the Kentucky blu, delish!!! All the right flavors mixed in one burger. We also had the black and white fried and flo pudtine? Both were so good. Recommended place for a great burger and good service.

This place was added as a delivery option on while I am forced to be glued to my couch after surgery. What luck! I saw that they sold poutine and that they sell veggie burgers using a soy-free hemp burger, so I had to try it. At this point, I’ve ordered from them several times. Poutine — Good. The gravy is pretty thick and flavorful, good amount of cheese curds that stand up to the heat of the gravy. The fries themselves are good and ones not coated in gravy are nice and crispy. Kentucky Bleu — Ordered this with a veggie patty. Great combination of flavors. The sweet caramelized onions go well with the bleu cheese. I’m not sure what Foster Sauce is made of, but it has a good tangy flavor that seems to go pretty well with everything. Johnny Apple Brie — Also ordered with a veggie patty. Another sweet and tangy savory combination burger. Pretty good. The housemade dijonnaise(tangy mayo) really makes it. Rose City — Wasn’t sure if I’d like the pickled beet, but it just adds a little sweetness to balance with the brie and the tangy dijonnaise. I liked it. Grilled cheese — Added egg and bacon and saved it for breakfast. Pretty good, a bit greasy though. Veggie burger patty — Has a great veggie burger flavor. Tastes like veggies and grains, but it lets the burger toppings and sauce take control. So glad to find a new spot with a veggie burger that isn’t made of fake-meat soy. I can’t speak to the atmosphere, service or any of the experience with dining there. But ordering via Caviar food delivery three separate times, I was happy. They got my orders right and it was damn tasty. edit: After many deliveries, I went in person because I was nearby for an errand. It’s next to AND across the street from strip clubs. Seedy area, to be honest. The restaurant itself is fine but… I’ll probably keep going for the delivery option.

This was stop #3 this Burger week. We visited around 2:30 pm between the lunch & dinner rushes. The 24k burger is basically the MINI Foster burger with red onion instead of yellow, arugula instead of romaine, & with the addition of truffle aioli. If you are hangry for a true burger fix, this one does the job. Although the patty is thin, it remains pink in the middle. Add a side of the delicious black and white fries and a cold bevy of choice and your day will seem a little bit brighter.

Fat, juicy beef and lamb burgers, good poutine and mind-blowing truffle fries with squid ink aeoli make this place the shiz dawg. Wait staff is friendly and the wait isn’t long. Is there a better burger out there? Is there? If so, CLAIMYOURRIGHTTOTHETHRONE!

I wish I could remember who talked this place up to me… what a disappointment Dan. Had the Kiwi burger and an order of Black n white fries. Presentation awesome and large portions! Burger– meat was good(lamb) The onion still had a layer of skin you know that sometimes green hard layer that still need to be peeled. Can’t bite thru that stuff. The bun – oh my. Large sesame seed bun incredibly dry, I mean incredibly, and it was over baked(it was clearly a vendor bun not made in house) The fries. The squid ink stuff was tasty. The Parmesan was also tasty but like bad cheese tasty, not a fan of what ever style parm that was. Great décor. Great service, reasonably clean.

I went for a few reasons: 1– I was really curious about the music flyers that wallpapered the place 2– cockshakes 3– Poutine 4– I was treated to dinner Well, I am very impressed with the music flyers. They are spectacular! However, that was the best part for me. We had the vegetarian Poutine w/mushroom gravy. The gravy was tasty, but soggy fries and drippy cheese curds were not for me. I sampled my friends coffee milkshake– it was the 2nd best thing. Thick & creamy & excellent coffee flavor! I went to order a veggie burger and they were all out at 5 O’ clock. So a salad was my other option. The waitress said I could substitute avocado for bacon, so I did. When I got my salad, after my friend already started his burger, it was ridiculous. The salad was literally ½ a head of ice berg lettuce cut in two, with dressing dumped on top… it had a quarter of an avocado, a few thinly sliced radishes and cucumbers and(I think) 2 sun dried tomatoes. It was suppose to have a hard boiled egg w/it, so I asked the waitress. She cam back with ½ an egg. It was a weird salad to say the least.

This one has been on the list to try for about a year now. I know my son loves poutine, and I found them through Unilocal and they had solid reviews. We went in around 1pm and they were about halfway filled. One guy was waiting all the tables, and did a great job at keeping up, except if you wanted a refill, you had to grab his attention. I got just a basic burger, which I enjoyed. My son got the spicy burger, which was huge. We were a little confused because my daughter-in-law ordered the Mile high and it was just a regular sized burger. She loved the jalapeño and cream cheese spread that was on it. We ordered the squid ink and garlic fries. plus my son ordered his poutine. I am not a gravy fan, so I tried a little bit and it was okay, but my son who loves all that is poutine, said it was really good. I had just had hand surgery a couple days before and still was still feeling a little ‘off’ about food, and I was the one that had been excited to try the squid ink aioli. It is solid black and at first I just looked at it thinking there was always next time, but I went ahead and tried it, hoping it wasn’t anything remotely sea-life-ish. It wasn’t, it was sort of tasteless. My DIL tried it and said the same thing, but the ranch there is really good, so we stuck with that on the fries. The experience was good and we would go back, I liked the chargrilled burger flavor. I also have to say it was nice to be in a place playing«my music» they lean towards metal and hard rock.
