I used to love going to this location but after tonight I doubt I will go back. I waited for my food for 30 minutes and when I got home I found that they got my order wrong, the food was cold and the fries were hard. It was terrible. They weren’t even that busy. The employees seemed more interested in their conversation than in the preparation of my food. The place was dirty and I had the feeling I should turn around the moment I walked in the door. Like I said I used to love this place but after tonight, I will seriously think twice about going back!

This place is crack to me… I’m ashamed to how much I love their fry sauce it’s so damn good especially with their crispy truffle oil tossed fries! Also I love how their burgers are more about quality than quantity. Definitely one of my favorite local fast food spots.

The girl behind the counter serving fries needs to stop screaming numbers when orders were ready. I won’t go back because it was miserable eating while she screamed at the top of her lungs every 1 – 2 minutes. Also she was singing along loudly to the racy rap music at 6:30 when there were a bunch of small kids in there. I have kids and I would have been really upset if I had them with me.

I’m from San Diego and was up here visiting family in Portland. I Was looking for a good burger and stumbled upon this place because it looked good. The burger was undercooked and was very basic and not too much flavor. The truffle fries were very good; however, I wouldn’t come back again, I can make a burger at home 10x better. They need a lot more help and guidance in regards to making a good burger. They need to take lessons from In n Out! My recommendation is either make your own burger or find a better burger place rather than go to this wanna be In N Out with their copy cat«simple» menu choices! I gave 2 stars for the truffle fries; however, the burger literally sucks!!!

The service was great the girl working was awesome ! Just took a bit longer than maybe it should have. Burgers are great though. They should be cooking burgers before people even arrive, that’s why it’s a burger chain not a high class sushi restaurant. It should be a mainstreamed business where it’s easy to get customers in and out. Maybe before hire should make sure people can fry like 20 burgers an hour. Lol

Four stars for the burgers some of the best I’ve ever had. They only had two kids working at lunch time so my order took a while otherwise it would gotten a five all day.

We saw a lot of their locations all around town and finally gave in one afternoon when my husband was craving a «light snack». We got a cheeseburger and a truffle fries to share… definitely tasted okay but not sure if I’m convinced that they’re the most amazing burgers for what they’re worth. I still think In-N-Out rules them all!

For a high volume, fast paced burger joint, they keep their shit tight, and don’t have time to deal with yours. Friday nights are slammed, but they give love a bad name.

Two burgers, two fries and two sodas totaled to $ 18 and some change. The fries were a generous size, and the burgers are filling though slightly larger than your average slider burger. The quality was good– fresh veggies, quality meat, and the fries and fry sauce were tasty. The service was pretty friendly, and the drink selection is more generous than the small food menu. We were glad we finally tried the place after hearing about it so much, but we weren’t blown away.

Little Big Burger is no In-n-Out or Shake Shack but it, typically, does the trick when I am craving a guilty fix for a bad day. At first, I had the sticker shock too…$ 4.25 for a slider size cheeseburger?! It’s actually ¼ lb. of beef and you are getting fresh, local ingredients. I normally get the cheeseburger with chèvre and comes on a brioche bun with lettuce, pickles, onion(none for me), and Camden’s catsup. If the burger is not enough, get an order of the truffle fries for $ 2.75 – I’ve had better truffle fries, however, its still pretty good. They dump a massive amount in the paper bag and I can never finish it. It will definitely fill you up, but if you have a big appetite… order two burgers?

There is only one person here working. It’s 4 pm and there is a late lunch/early dinner rush. There is a line of 16 people. Every table is full of people waiting for food and the bar only has three seats left. Only one person is eating and no one else’s food is cooking because the one employee has to keep taking orders for an endless line. Children are crying and their parents are getting impatient. I’m pissed because I work in the food industry too and it’s disgusting that all of these franchises keep taking over and then being cheaper with their labor than they are with their prices. You have multiple locations, little big burger, so we know you’re not broke. READ: stop spreading your workers so thin. Take one of the five people you have at the Alberta location and give the division staff some help for their sake and ours. It took 23 minutes to get one burger and fries. That’s just sad. Not the workers fault, shitty management is to blame.

This place. What a fucking joke. We ate here tonight… Eventually. We walked in and the line was to the door. Every seat in the place was filled, but with that said I only counted three people that were actually eating. When we reached the register to order, we were greeted with the most in-genuine, saccharin sweet pigtailed employee. Way over the top, and way phony. Seriously, it was like nails down the chalkboard. After we ordered two burgers and two fries, we sat waiting for FORTYFIVE minutes. No exaggeration. Forty five minutes. This was the same case for the 30 other people who were sitting, but not eating. Manning the grill was some red-haired guy who either hasn’t had enough training, or really didn’t give a shit. He’d cook a set of patties until they were done, but instead of dropping another set of patties, would stop to dress all the just-finished burgers. After they were done, he’d THEN drop another set. This is basic line cook 101, and this guy either didn’t know, or didn’t care. He seemed to care more about what music was playing at an obnoxious volume. Speaking of which, when the dining room was filled with 50% families with young children, I’m really not sure that Ozzy, Motörhead, Danzig, the Misfits and death metal is appropriate. Eventually that ‘set’ was over, and the other employee started playing hip hop which was filled with ‘my bitch’ this and ‘my bitch’ that. Halfway through our wait, a third employee showed up who by the reactions of the other two, was clearly MIA/AWOL. 30 minutes in to our wait I went to the counter to ask Pippi Longstocking how much longer. She said another ten minutes. I pointed out that we had already been waiting a half hour. «Well, it takes time». No it doesn’t. It’s a god damned hamburger. It takes five minutes. When we got our food, it was terrible. The burgers were meh, fries were overdone and as hard as rocks. Save your time. Save your money. By this experience alone, we’ll never eat here, or at any other LBB location ever again. This place is really Just about the ketchup anyway. Buy a bottle and make your own burgers at home. Whoever is in charge of this location is obviously asleep at the wheel.

Little Big Burger provides a nice, if ordinary burger and fries that far exceed the quality of any fast food joint, for a relatively low price. The menu is limited, but this simplicity means that they can grill you a good burger quickly and easily and bring it to you done just as you like, every time. I personally like to get mine plain, with chèvre, and I frequently accompany it with the truffle fries, with plenty of the fry sauce to dip them in. While I normally eschew condiments on my burgers, save the occasional specialty sandwich, I think that the fry sauce can make a nice addition to the burgers as well as to the fries. While the fries are accented with a taste of truffle, I wouldn’t compare the taste to truffled fries that I’ve had elsewhere – it’s not as three-dimensional a taste as many other places’ truffle fries, though of course, it’s much cheaper. They’re not bad fries, just not great. It’s the burger that makes this place worth going to. They’re small, but one can work as a very light meal(it’s about a quarter pound, I think), and once combined with fries(which they frequently provide in abundance, thanks to their system of providing food in bags), it’s a decent sized meal for $ 7. I’ve had better burgers on Division, let alone in Portland. However, sometimes you need a quick bite, and Little Big Burger stands head and shoulders above any fast food joints, and has hours that are frequently better than those of the foocarts, even if it’s not quite as good as the carts.

This place is like the in-in-out of Portland! For fast food prices you can get handcrafted artisan burgers… Pretty awesome if you ask me! The burgers are pretty small but since they are greasy/heavy foods, they are still filling. You can choose different kind of cheeses(like the goat cheese) which makes this place unique.

I came to Little Big Burger as a newcomer to Portland and someone seeking a good cheeseburger. Growing up with In-N-Out, Fuddruckers, Fatburger, Hamburger Hamlet and others, I took quality for granted and perhaps mistook abundance of choice with a true variety of options. I can’t count how many times I have found myself somewhere in our great nation unable to acquire a good example of perhaps the most American food served. In would could be described as the hamburger world’s equivalent to the third-world coffee revolution, a slew of new franchises and local celebrity restaurants have come about in the last decade or so. This is mostly restricted to metropolitan centers though, save for that random Five Guys one finds in the middle of Ohio. They focus on quality and flavor more explicitly, and take pride in the provenance of sourced ingredients. Although good for the world of tasty hamburgers, this can lead to homogenization and palate fatigue, I’d guess. Back to Little Big… Visiting was convenient so I came on a quiet afternoon and ordered your standard cheddar-burger, fries, and a coke. It was the best burger I’ve had in months and I immediately found a new favorite. The brioche bun is wonderful in flavor and texture, perfecting capping the burger and its accouterment. The package really is little but big, filling and substantive whilst remaining easy to hold and bite, and visually appealing. This reminded me a bit of Umami Burger, mostly because both businesses/chains produce their own ketchup(both a bit spicy as well). I love this aspect of both, I should mention. It also reminded me of Fatburger, that is, the burger itself, as well as the accompanying relish. The«fry sauce» is a nice addition(In-N-Out killer?) though added relish would add to its texture favorably in my opinion. The house-made catsup is delicious. The fries are thin and crunchy, on the crispier side, and salty/truffle-ish in flavor. I wish they had a «fat fry» option ala Fatburger, where someone can order fluffy under-done potato fries. Little Big’s fries lose their potato-essence in some respect. I’ve tried the cheddar, goat, and swiss, and loved them all. The drink selection is great. All-in-all, it is a small menu, but for this lovely local chain to scale and sustain relatively low prices and high-quality, I applaud them. Highly-recommended!

It’s majorly gone downhill. Little big burger use to be my favorite chain burger spot. I didn’t mind the price for a burger that wasn’t quite a slider but yet not a full burger. The quality of the burger is just not the same. It could have been a off day but the meat in my burger was super dried and over cooked. Their truffle fries are still amazing.

I loved this place! The truffle fries … Wow. I downed mine. Their ketchup and fry sauce is homemade. The ketchup has a tiny kick to it and I love it! Their menu is super simple but that’s how i like it.

I’ve been away from Portland for a while and had previously been to the first Pearl location. I was in the hood and decided to try this location. I remember the burger being cooked medium and them being dicks about it. I ordered mine a «bit more cooked that normal». The order taker said no problem but it arrived medium. I don’t want to eat raw meat from a place that looks as clean as a fucking bus stop.
