Philly cheese is my favorite! Boom boom sauce is so good… what amazes me is the customer service. They remember who I am make me feel at home every time!!! Definitely a place where you can make a healthier choice.

The meat isn’t seasoned like I thought it would be, but the pita itself was much better than I was anticipating. A good place for a casual lunch. I’d go back again.

This place is great. Very friendly service. They were happy to answer any questions we had being it was the first time we had been there. Food was fresh and delicious and the smoothing was great. Will definitely be back!

Definitely a place I try and go to weekly. Love the falafel wrap. Love that the wraps are huge and everything is cooked right in front of you. I used to go here a lot when I was living in Lawrence, KS, and I was really happy to see they were opening a Pita Pit near my new house in Overland Park. You can also do double meat on Wednesdays for 99 cents!

Treating your employees badly in front of customers tells me that you probably treat them worse behind closed doors. My first trip to Pita Pit was yesterday. My experience is as follows: It’s just after noon and there’s a short line which is moving at an acceptable speed. There was a friendly young woman behind the register taking orders, a few people making the wraps, one on the grill, and couple preparing a delivery. The delivery looked to be somewhat of a large order. I’m last in line and stood back to watch the operation. One of the people getting the large order ready, who seemed to be in a position of management was speaking to his employees in such a rude and condescending tone. The young woman taking orders was to make a mango smoothie. She asked this man how to make it and instead of giving her instructions, he stopped his talking of how these people are slow and he needs faster employees to ask her how long she’d been working there because she should know. So instead of helping her and addressing it later behind closed doors or after lunch rush, he’s causing the customer to wait longer while belittling her. Customers looked at each other with raised eyebrows. Then he snapped at the girl stacking orders and packing his car for delivery. Moving down the line I met some other friendly employees who put my meal together. Now this guy is making snide remarks how everyone needs to stop what they’re doing and get the place cleaned up. I could literally see the employees slump their shoulders in disappointment and humiliation. So embarrassing to witness. Note to employees: you guys were great. The food was good and prepared well. Thank you. Your attitude was fantastic. Good food. Good service. Many pita wrap/salad options. I just can’t get past the treatment of the employees. Treating employees badly leads to losing them. Speed won’t make a difference if you’ve not got anyone wanting to work for you. You owe your entire team an apology. I’ll go back. I enjoyed the food. I’m hoping not to have the same experience. I’ll speak up next time.

This place was on my list for a long time and finally, this Sunday I had the chance to have lunch there. It is a nice and clean place. The staff is really friendly. One of the guys, went through the trouble of explaining us everything we needed to known about making a good sandwich and also he gave us a reward point card. So, whenever we dine there, we earn some points. The pita is a thin flat bread which comes in wheat and white. They open up a pocket in the bread and fill it with veggies of your choice. You can have any meat or veggie patties, also you can have onions, mushrooms and peppers on the grill. I had a black bean patty with veggies on the grill. FYI, if you tell them that you are a vegetarian they can prepare your patty and veggies on a separate skillet. It’s good for those people who don’t like their veggies touching other people’s meat. The pita bread holds the veggies and the patty together better than a regular sandwich. The warm patty and grilled veggies really enhances the flavors. It’s a new twist to the old sandwich. They have a new coca cola freestyle soda machine with 100+ flavors, so you can mix and match. They also serve breakfast on Saturdays and Sundays.

This is a solid choice if you’re looking to mix things up a bit from your usual sandwich routine. Or if you’re drunk. The pita pocket makes for a light wrap that holds a lot of veggies, meat and sauce in an easy-to-eat format. That’s not earth-shattering news for anyone who has ever eaten a sandwich, but I really find I appreciate the bread-alternative. Beats the pants off of lettuce sandwiches at Jimmy Johns. Added bonus for the griddle making the cheese melty, and the meat nice and hot. Overall you won’t be disappointed. A tip for your first time: you may be happiest with flavors the go with a pita. I tend to not like the ham selections as much as gyro/chicken caesar salad-type things. Don’t just treat it like Subway in a pita pocket.

First, I am a Pita Pit fanatic. It was my go-to in Lawrence. So I’m super duper happy there is FINALLY one in OP. This location is very clean, organized and the employees are extremely friendly. I went in several months ago when it first opened and my experience was not near as good. Received a free drink coupon for my next time back. Glad to see things have improved. Will most definitely be back. Gyro, buffalo chicken and philly steak are my favs.

An addiction that I can’t seem to shake. Stumble into Pita Pit around lunchtime and you’ll certainly find a line worth waiting in. My go-to is the Chicken Souvlaki. The Mediterranean chicken pairs perfectly with hummus and whatever other mixings you’d like to add. They heat it up and build it in front of you and the final product is always amazing. I strongly suggest checking this place out, but be careful, you might find yourself addicted too!

I dropped in for a quick lunch and ordered the Philly steak. The disorganization was fun to watch as it appeared to be sandwich by committee. At the counter I told the man what I wanted and how I wanted it dressed. A minute or two later I was asked, by a different staff member if I wanted white or wheat. A couple of minutes later I was asked by yet a third person how I wanted it dressed and if I wanted cheese. Finally the sandwich was presented by a forth and final person. As far as the sandwich went, it was nothing special, what one of the other reviewers referred to as «food court food».

I enjoyed my first visit to Pita Pit. I ordered a chicken pita($ 6.19) with combo chips and a drink($ 2.49) at the counter. Several protein options were available, along with veggie, and breakfast pitas. Plenty of filling options were available Chipotle-style, including guacamole(no upcharge). My pita was packed full with plenty of grilled chicken, and fillings, inside tasty pita bread. The employees were helpful, and friendly. The interior was clean, and fairly new, with background music. Overall, this was a very good experience.

The black bean Patty with avocado sauce was delicious. The portion sizes were very generous, even what the kids ordered were enough to feed an adult. We have kiddos with food allergies and the staff went out of their way to accommodate. I’ve had their breakfast pitas at other locations and they are amazing as well. This place has a pretty amazing crew. Very friendly!

This is a great place to get your pita fix! Staff was friendly & efficient. This time I got the Philly steak loaded(grilled onion, mushrooms, & peppers). They cook your protein choice on the grill. Then I proceed to pick my type of pita and filling. They have so much to choose from. Fresh ingredients & sauces are a plenty. Too many choices to list in this review. I managed to fill my to form a huge serving & will save half of it for leftovers. You will not be disappointed with this place especially since you pick your own stuffing. It cost around $ 6 – 8 on average for a pita but well worth it!

This is a review based off of Pita Pit delivery: I ordered a pita and a mango tango smoothie. The pita was chicken based with some other fixings. The smoothie was good and the wrap was also good. To sum this place up: a large potion of food in an unusual way + any toppings or sauces you want. It’s like a Chipotle and Subway had a baby. The ingredients are about the caliber of a subway. The meat is better. The delivery came in the time promised(20 minutes) and the delivery guy was quick and friendly. No complains but a pretty average meal. Seems more interesting than just a sandwich.

This is more what you’d expect in a mall food court. It was edible, but disappointing compared to the other pita/gyro places in town. Their tzatziki was really thick and bland. The only way I’d eat here again is with a coupon. It’s a very new restaurant. Nice and clean with a friendly crew.

Since this is a chain restaurant, I’ll keep it short. This place just recently opened next to Johnny’s Tavern. I went yesterday and got a gyro(Mediterranean seasoned beef/lamb) with jap chips. I personally enjoyed it. I think they make a good pita, and considering you can stuff the thing with veggies until it’s about to burst; it’s a good value. I can eat a fair amount, and for $ 8.50 I was stuffed. The service was meh, but I suppose that is to be expected as they are going through growing pains with new employees. Also, they gave me a couple coupons for a Pita Combo for $ 1 upon my next return. A nice gesture, and a great way to ensure I’ll be back.

We went to pita pit about a week after it opened, which was exciting, because we drive by all the time and were just waiting for it to open. It was nice and clean, not very busy. We were given an expired coupon for a free drink each, which I guess were still valid for them… however, they were still training people at the register and I think it took a good 10 minutes for them to figure out how to take $ 1 off the bill. We said we would just pay it, but I’m sure they needed to figure that out. We both ordered Gyros, which normally would come with Tzatziki sauce… they cooked up our meat and we picked the veggies we wanted, then got to the sauces… they said to my boyfriend, and then to me… we’re out of Tzatziki sauce. Now, if this is the case, it would make sense for them to put some sort of sign on the register, saying that they are out of the sauce that is specially made for Gyros, so nobody would order that. We were both disappointed because we had already paid and so we kind of made up our own sauce. I also feel like there was very little meat in there for an $ 8 pita. The whole process probably took 15 mins and we were pretty much the only ones in there.
