Sun Nail & Hair Salon

This is my first time to this salon. It is a warm, welcoming, family style environment. It does get busy, so allow yourself time, don’t come in a rush. My daughter is 3, and they painted her toes and hands patiently. The gave complimentary cookies, apples, and tea. I got a classic mani pedi, and they cleaned up my hands and toes well. I was served by 5 different people in the shop, but I am okay with that, they all know their job, and each one had wonderful service. The place was clean, and I will definitely be back.

Brought a few employees and my husband for pedicures. We were here right when they opened and they easily occomodated all of at the same time which used all of their chairs and a shellac mani at the same time. AWESOME!!!

Imnew to the Olympia area so I was very skeptical about where to go. After reading the reviews about Sun I decided to go and give it a try because other than a good pedi I enjoy good customer service just as much if not more. Walking into sun I was greeted, placed on a chair and given apples and tea and thought for sure I would end up loving this place. I didn’t get the name of my pedicurist but from the get-​go began giving me half-​assed service. Instead of using the utensils per toe as-​needed she skimmed across them missing a few cuticles if not all.
Then came my favorite part (usually) when they scrub your feet to give them that baby soft feel. But no, just as she did she continued to rush through everything (it was not busy) barely grazing my feet. At this point I’m beginning to get annoyed and the woman beside me finished up and as I sat there waswatched the pedicurist «clean» the little tub I stared down at my feet praying wouldn’t get a fungus and questioning the apple. Following the «scrub» I am expected to pay the extra five dollars for the sea salt that lasted 30 seconds and as I was watching the women beside me get a good scrub and massage I got a very mediocre massage (giving extra credit) and instead of getting lotion rubbed into my leg as usual the pedicurist ended up just wiping it off and finished it up with a polish job I normally do better myself.
I gave birth a little over a month ago and for Mothers Day wanted a treat. I kept my composure and stayed polite saying please and thank you but deep down I am seriously saddened by the result.

Although I’m usually not in the area, I come back to this salon for their service, fair prices, and great pedicures. They don’t oversell or tack on services without asking. My pedicure lasts forever and doesn’t chip. They offer refreshments and drinks. They remember their customers and are so friendly! I highly recommend this salon to anyone.

My mom and I just got manipedis and they were so relaxing. Great atmosphere and everyone is so nice loved it and will definitely be returning. Love love love

Recently moved here and checked Unilocal for places to get a pedicure. The reviews were good so I gave it a try. What a great place. Service was excellent, staff were welcoming, environment was happy and I was served tea and cookies. Chairs are very comfy. Prices were excellent. Great place. It’s my go to from now on.

Our whole family loves coming here for pedicures and haircuts. All of the employees are so incredibly nice and friendly. They bring you tea and cookies, and always do a great job at all the services offered. My four year old daughter loves getting pedicures, and they always pamper her with pillows and treats. When they were closed the other day and I told her that we had to get a pedicure somewhere else, she said «no thanks.» She doesn’t want to go anywhere else, and I don’t blame her. Such a wonder family-​owned business that really goes the extra mile for customer service. I recommend this place to everyone who asks me where to get nails or waxing done in Olympia.

This place is great! The staff was so friendly and they bring you tea and cookies. I had a shellac (gel) manicure and regular pedicure. This is one of my self care things to do so I have high standards… and they met them. The color selection is great and the place is clean. They only test will be how long the color lasts… but I’m hopeful!

Every nice friendly staff! Lots of people coming in for hair cuts, nails, pedicures and lots of men getting pedicures! I think this might be my new spot! Come check them out!

It’s a pretty nondescript nail salon, in a pretty nondescript strip mall, but the service is good and the price is great! Gel French mani & pedi for $ 45…I was paying $ 70 for the exact same in Honolulu.

Excellent Service, Excellent People.
This place makes you feel so comfortable. The moment you walk in you are greeted with warm smiles and hot tea. (and sometimes even a little treat) They are really the sweetest people you will ever meet and they do an amazing job at cutting hair. I’ve only been in for my haircuts and have always left very satisfied. I imagine myself coming back again and again.

I let the exterior fool me for a very long time, but finally decided to go based on the reviews from Unilocal.I am VERY glad that I did. My nails look great, my feet feel wonderful (they didn’t overly buff the bottom which is a HUGE pet peeve of mine.) They have a great selection of colors and do a thorough polish application. I also had a little nail art done on my toes and those were well done as well.
My only two complaints are these:
They did not use new pumice. By my own admission, I could have asked for new ones and they would have provided it. The metal tools came from the visible autoclave (sterilizer machine), so that was a plus.
They did the massage with the salt and didn’t follow with an in depth lotion massage, so my winter abused legs are a teensy bit dry.
Notice however that I am still giving a 5 star review. Overall they were very attentive, the machines were clean and the chairs were in GREAT shape. The cookies and tea didn’t hurt either.

Family owned and operated. They are honest, inexpensive, and do great hair! I go to Yvonne and she’s very good to me. They really massage your scalp when they wash your hair. I get cuts, hi lights, styles, mani/​pedis (once in a while), eyebrow waxing, and purchase hair products from them. Definitely worth checking them out if you are looking for something new. Oh and they give you tea and cookies and they are so nice!

I got my hair done today, 2 hours, a full frost while I sat there getting it done I had the most amazing service I have ever experienced. They were kind and friendly greeted everyone with a smile as soon as the doorbell rang. This family run business is amazing and I will be a customer for life yvone… your family is five-​star service for sure please come and give them a try I guarantee you’ll love it

Sun Nail & Hair Salon is great!
I was loyal to a nail salon across town. The owner did an impeccable job with her manicures and pedicures. It was rare for me to find another salon that was as thorough at cutting dead cuticles and and trimming my nail down the sides of the big toe. Unfortunately, the owner sold her business and moved.
As I was shopping around for a new go-​to nail place, I tried Sun Nail & Hair Salon. They’re great! The gal that did my pedicure was thorough and quick. She didn’t just trim, shape, clean a little and paint like most places. She snipped off all the dead skin that built up around my cuticles. What I appreciated most was that she trimmed my toe nails down the sides because they dig in when I wear narrow-​toed shoes.
The last time I got a pedicure there, I sat next to some ladies that drove all the way from Sumner (which is about one hour away) to receive services at this salon!
This is a very friendly, family-​owned business. I want to encourage people to come to Sun Hair & Nail Salon and keep them in business!

Great cut. Reasonable price. Nice service. Plus hot tea!
