Emporium Coffee Parlor

Terrible espresso coffee. beans tasted burnt and there was ground coffee grains in the bottom of the cup.

They have the typical line-​up of caffine but what sets them apart are the bakery delights. The Strawberry Scone with latte was a fantastic way to start the day. The scone was well baked on the outside and perfect on the inside with just a sprinkle of sugar on top. I didn’t give them 5 stars because no almond milk. There’s outside seating in the morning sun or restaurant for shade and more choices.

Best breakfast I’ve had in a looong time. The scone was perfection. Coffee was strong, just as we asked. I recommend the chorizo scramble… spicy, cheesy and flavorful. Yum!

Riding a big ride from Santa Barbara, I almost always stop here for one of their baked goods. Muffins and biscotti are particularly yum. Good (not great) drip coffee too. Always happy to fill your water bottles, so that’s friendly!

Sidecick to the Emporium Café … small eatery for cakes, baked goods and coffee and tea. Several very tasty cakes are on display … after 2 pm the baked goods are 50% off! There is an inside seating area as well as a small outside seating area.

I didn’t get a coffee here, but I will next time. Because there will be a next time. They have the most amazing muffins, cinnamon rolls, croissants, etc here. I split a pumpkin raisin muffin with a friend and we sat outside on their patio. The muffin was soooooo tasty. This is my go-​to place every time I’m in Ojai.

This is a great place in the center Ojai. It seems like a spot for locals as well as tourists and day trippers. We saw lots of cyclists as well as bikers hanging out, families and young couples. They serve wine liquor and beer so if you want a bloody mary or mimosa this is a great choice. The breakfast was really good, I had the blueberry pancakes, the husband had the Quiche and my brother in law had the over easy eggs. I know it is hard to mess up breakfast but it was all really good and they both enjoyed their cocktails with breakfast. The menu has anything you could want so it is a great place for options. Also, the patio seems like the best place to sit but we sat inside and it has very private tables instead of booths that back up to each other.
