The sushi is good, but the delivery service needs work. I ordered at 10:15 in the morning, specifying delivery at 1pm. Didn’t happen.

Really delicious and fresh tasting fish. Everything was at a great temperature — not too cold. Will order again!

Food is good, price is lovely, but prepare for a very rude delivery guy… Like Daiana A’s review from four-month ago, I got called and he was shouting in the phone that I couldn’t even pick up a word, had to figure out he is the delivery guy by the phone number. When I met him he was so rude that I almost lost my appetite. This is not good to represent these good sushi rolls.

This review is for Atami’s delivery only, as I have yet to eat in their establishment. They are definitely my favorite reasonably priced sushi spot on seamless in my area. For the most part, I’ve always stuck with safer picks, like a maki combo, or a sushi special with a spicy tuna roll. But what prompted me to finally leave a review is the other night, when I got experimental and was NOT disappointed. I started with the salmon tataki, which is lightly seared with ponzu sauce. Really good. I also did the Holly Molly roll, clearly a play on the spicy tuna on crispy rice phenomenon. However, they excel at it by adding seaweed salad, spicy mayo, eel sauce, roe, and a jalapeño slice. This was SOGOOD I will definitely make it a staple from Atami. Also worthy of note, this was on a Tuesday, notorious for not being the freshest day to order sushi. I’m an Atami fan for sure.

I ordered a few times from this place and can only say that the food is average. The delivery comes in a timely manner, but they seem to not take the fish bones out of their eel. I would give them 3.5 stars, but I consider 4 star placed to be better than here, so… 3 stars. If you don’t care much about the taste and fish bones stabbing your gums, order from here.

Just ordered some delicious take out from this tiny spot on 2nd Avenue. Very standard looking spot inside, but the take out meal was delicious. I ordered the Beef Negimaki and it was yummy! and for $ 10.50, it was a great deal. It came with a California roll, gyoza, a salad and a miso soup :)

I had high hopes for this restaurant. I keep looking for the venue with the perfect Bento box. I haven’t found it yet. I was disappointed that the roll request I made did not happen and instead I got a roll that I was quite disappointed with. Sadly the salmon was dry, the shumai unspectacular, and the salad rather bland. I continue on my quest for the perfect Bento box.

This is one of those typical sushi restaurants that are cheap and just ok. You don’t come here for real good sushi. You come here because you are feeling cheap and want to eat ok sushi, and perhaps some fake rolls full of cream cheese or fish that is about to go bad(in other words, spicy tuna). I came here one night as I didn’t want to spend more than $ 25 on sushi and wanted to be full. Mission accomplished.

The sushi special is fantastic which I order for delivery. Always fresh. However, the elderly delivery man is very rude every time he delivers and would talk under his breath, not sure why as I would always tip. I recommend dining-in instead.

Very average sushi. I came here for lunch and at least it’s inexpensive(around $ 11) for some rolls. But the fish is not fresh, it must have been recently defrosted. The sake is a bargain but again, very average. Service was fine. I did like the cut fruit at the end. Just OK, I will not come back. So many superior sushi restaurants in NYC.

REALTIMELUNCHREVIEW! At 2:15pm, advance ordered: Atami House Roll Spanish Mackerel Scallop Baby Yellowtail Striped Bass Fluke Salmon Roe King Salmon Sea Urchin Asked for 4pm delivery, about 13 blocks away. Delivered at 4pm, on the dot! Very nice delivery guy. Surprise orange for cleansing was in the bag(woot!)! Though there was also a surprise slice of lemon a top(and touching) two if my individual sashimi/sushi pieces, which had some sort of citrus, scallion and garlic drizzle on them. Didn’t think I’d be a fan of this ceviche surprise… but the flavor was complimentary. There was also a soy peppercorn drizzle on another piece. Again, it worked. But they should really have these things listed on the menu. Some of the sashimi/sushi pieces were generous. Others a bit small for the price tag, especially the Sea Urchin. Most pieces were fresh and flavorful. The scallop, however, wasn’t quite as moist and«melt in my mouth» as I would have liked. And I wound up being okay with the Sea Urchin being in the stingy side, as it wasn’t as briny and bright in flavor, scent, and texture as it should have been. The Atami House Roll was eight pieces, though small. However, I really liked the play of all the components! I’d recommend them if you’re in the area, or if you’re a big fan of tempura rolls, as the majority of their special rolls fall under that category. Otherwise, I reel their area competitors are a better bang for your buck.

Ordered this on the Eat 24 app and had it delivered to my apartment. Delivery was pretty quick around 20 minutes. I ordered the chicken teriyaki and white rice and a side salad. The minimum order amount was $ 10 and I spent about $ 14 including tax and tip. The salad dressing(carrot/ginger?) was good, but the iceberg lettuce was pretty drenched in water. Pro — they washed the lettuce, con — they didn’t dry it off. The chicken teriyaki was tasty and they did use all white meat as I requested, however most of the fat had been left on the meat and I had to try to pull it off with my fork before eating. The vegetables in the teriyaki were a little bland. Nothing too exciting here although the food overall tasted pretty good!

This restaurant is consistently excellent(not just good or great). First, the staff are great and make sure you are taken care of. The specials change daily and the guys behind the sushi bar are experts. I highly recommend the following… Roll: Manhattan roll Sushi: All of it Sashimi: The tuna is out of this world — always fresh, never served refrigerator cold, just perfect. Lastly, Beer for $ 2/bottle(I choose Sapporo) means the bill is never a shock to the system. I eat here often and you should too!

Ordered the Maki combo B on seamless. I’m always worried about ordering sushi for delivery as sushi isn’t something you want to gamble on. However, I was very happy with my order. The Maki Combo B was $ 15 and included a california roll, eel avocado roll, and shrimp tempura roll with a soup or salad. I asked for extra ginger and wasabi which they more than amply provided me with. The shrimp tempura roll and california roll were flavorful. However, the eel avocado roll had too much of the skin and fat of the eel in the roll that didn’t leave a great flavor in our mouth. Overall, a solid and seemingly reliable choice.

Combo Menus are back! You don’t need to be a kid eating at McDonalds to get stoked for a combo meal. Sushi is great, but sometimes you get overwhelmed with all your options, so let’s go with a combo that picks your meal for you. I did the Spicy Crunchy Maki Combo and got what I expected. Solid sushi halfway between the ballet studio and the NQR train. What more could I ask for?

SEAMLESS: To be totally honest, this is the best delivery sushi I’ve ever had. Ordered at 10:41pm, door bell rang at 11:03. The reason this is the best delivery sushi I’ve ever had? The rice, the fish, the wasabi, the time. Whats not to love? If youre on seamless looking to order sushi this is your place! And its cheap! The rice: super super fresh. You can tell fresh rice when you go to bite it. Fresh rice has that slightly warm and extremely soft texture. You can actually separate each grain in your mouth. Crappy rice is cold and refrigerated tasting, and the grains are hard and stick together like glue. This sushi had the nice warm rice with a really soft texture. Absolutely perfect. The wasabi: cheap sushi joints give you that wasabi where its never actually spicy enough. Thats crap wasabi. This stuff was powerful. A marble sized amount had enough of a punch to satisfy me. Thats rare. The fish: wow, really fantastic. Nice fresh fish with great flavor. Also not cold and disgusting. Nice and mid temp to the point that you know it was freshly sliced and dressed. The way a sushi restairant does it when they have a high volume of customers instead of an empty reataurant with fish sitting is coolers for forever. The seaweed: nice and crunchy, with a tad bit of chewiness. How i like it. Time: lastly, it always comes down to time. I live a half mile away. This place delivered sushi to my door less than 25 min after i got the confirmation email from seamless. Thats just awesome. It allows the sushi to keep all of those great aspects that great sushi represents, as I’ve outline ls above. Four stars because I don’t feel confident giving a place five before I’ve dined in. Thats he only reason. That being said I will definitely be ordering from here from now on whenever I have a sushi craving. Do yourself a favor and do the same. Sorry I ate it all before i had time to take a pic. I’ll snap a photo next time.

Pretty good sushi for lunch and one of the better less-expensive(meaning under $$$) sushi spots in the neighborhood. Haven’t been there for dinner, and I like the sushi, but didn’t think it was out-of-this-world or anything like that. But they do have a great 3-roll lunch special, and this is the only less-expensive sushi places I go to in this neighborhood.
