I ordered from seamless and when delivered my miso soup was spilled all in my bag then I saw a small roach on top of the miso soup container and was disgusted, the lady refunded my money when I called and was very nice however I do not recommend this place

Just got it delivered, not very good — could be fresher and wrapped tighter. There are tons of sushi places, walk past this one.

If you are looking for mediocre sushi, look no further than A Asosan. The beef negimaki has no taste; neither does the Chelsea roll. The vegetable gyoza are also bland and probably taste better coming from your freezer. I gave this 2 stars because the Spicy Two in One Roll was not bad, but not good enough to justify ordering from here again. To say the experience was underwhelming would be too generous.

Fantastic sushi via takeout, ordered from seamless. I had the Chelsea roll, yellowtail jalapeño roll and Forest roll. Chelsea– incredible that they include seared tuna on top. Super healthy for those avoiding the«crunch». Fresh shrimp and crisp asparagus in the center. Forest roll– unique! Also light and refreshing. Would 100% order this again. It’s wrapped in soy paper vs seaweed. Great add. Yellowtail was fresh, nothing too exciting but as expected. Also ordered edamame which is why they lost a star… It’s fine just a little over cooked and not the freshest pods. Would order from here again hands down. From online order to delivery it was less than 45 mins on a late Sunday evening. Yum!

I am staying in a short term apartment just two doors down, this is the first sushi place I passed by. It is a very small place. My dog is having difficulties adjusting to holidaying in the Big Apple, so I cannot leave him in the place for the first couple of days. I ordered a Bento box to take out. There is some fence around a tree in front of A Asosan. So I can tie my dog to the fence and went to pick up the food. At lunch time, they have Lunch Bento for $ 9.50 which serve soup, salad, rice, California Roll and Fried Shumai. I ordered a Sushi Lunch Bento. When I opened it up, there were 3 pieces of sushi, a small bowl of salad with dressing, a small bowl of miso soup with tofu cubes, and California Rolls. However, the rice was not there. it is nothing special, but it is not bad either. For me, it will do for convenience sake. P. s. my dog love the Fried Shumai.

Just ordered take out from A Asosan via seamless. Wasn’t expecting much from take out but quality was pretty poor. Our sushi was warm bordering on hot, not sure if they waited until rice was cool before rolling out pieces. The texture of salmon sushi was non existent and disintegrated when we put it in our mouths. The pickled ginger was more salty than vinegary. That being said, we also ordered a seaweed salad and Philadelphia roll which was decent but the quality of the sushi dinner was unacceptable.

Nothing special, had delivered for lunch at work, it was kind of blah and their ginger smells weird, I couldn’t eat it. The driver called before he was actually at the building and I couldn’t understand a word of what he said and then I ended up waiting for him downstairs for five minutes. We are working, we don’t want to stand in the lobby waiting for you, so call when you actually arrive… I don’t think I’ll order from them again. And it is as expensive as most other places around this area. I wish Zaiya delivered to the 50’s. :( They had good reviews on Seamless but I guess Seamless doesn’t filter out the obviously fake ones, so next time it’s going to be Unilocal first, order second.

This review is only for the sashimi lunch special that we got for take-out. Lunch specials go from 11:30 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. The longer lunch hours means you don’t have to worry about placing your order within the three hour time frame from noon to 3:00 p.m. You get 10 pieces of fresh fish, including tuna, salmon, and two other types of fish. A bonus is the salad and miso soup that come with the lunch special. Compared to other places in the area like Food Emporium, Katagiri & Co., and Roy’s Fish Market, the addition of soup and salad round out the meal and make this place a steal. A slightly cheaper price with two bonuses. Can’t beat it. Salad is pretty generic and standard from a Japanese restaurant, and the miso soup was still hot when we got it. Wonderful, since so no one likes lukewarm soup! From what minimal interaction we had, the staff seemed very nice and friendly. As a part of their grand opening special right now, you can get a free appetizer with a $ 15 purchase or a «coupon» of some sort with a purchase over $ 50. Overall, a solid lunch special with competitive prices.
