Do not order fried rice instead of the white or brown offered, the waiter will tel you there is a charge, and it was my fault for not asking how much is the charge but when the bill came, it a ridiculous $ 11.90 added.

Good food. Stick to what you know! People were nice, but know what you want, even if that means sharing. Egg drop and fried rice were great!

One star for being there, since the E 60’s is a Chinese food desert. One star for being the ONLY restaurant open during the blizzard of 2016, and one star because the food isn’t terrible. Old-fashioned Chinese that’s good for Seamless order, take away or casual lunch when you get a Lo Mein craving. Reasonably priced.

Was dissapointed at the prices, size and taste. Ordered the steamed chicken and brocalli and it was watery, not a big portion, and cost about $ 20 for white meat only. The won ton soup was fantastic. Big doughy wontons but for the prices and taste of the overall meal, I will be going elsewhere.

This is a great Chinese restaurant with classic dishes and large portions perfect for sharing. I had the chinese filet mignon for entrée and we also shared a number of dishes at my table — mixed vegetables, chicken in brown sauce and steamed shrimp which were all great and with lots of flavor! I had one of their signature cocktails with the meal, which was delicious. The restaurant has got a nice atmosphere and is great for big groups. I highly recommend it and will be going there again.

I went to China Fun the past week with some friends. The experience was great: the stuff is very nice and patient. First of all I took a cocktail, a delicious Spicy Mango Mojito. I’d really suggest it! As appetizer I ordered Toast Sate and Pork Dumplings. Especially the dumplings were amazing! As main course I chose Chicken in Peach Sauce, but I also could taste Jumbo Shrimp with Mayo & Honey Pinenuts, a dish that I and a friend of mine wanted to share. Both fabulous. I was impressed by the quality of the food and I’ll go back there for sure!

I went to China Fun for a company dinner. We first ordered the Fried Pork Dumplings, Beef Dumplings, Grilled Chicken, Mini Soup Buns and the Shrimp Toast to share as appetizers. The Fried Pork Dumplings were definitely my favorite it was so nicely fried and it tasted amazing with the soy sauce, besides this I can recommend the Mini soup buns and the Shrimp Toast they were perfectly well steamed and fried. For drinks, I first ordered a Mojito which was well served with the traditional ingredients. Next, we ordered the Jumbo Shrimp w/Mayo & Honey pinenuts, Chicken in peach sauce garnished w/Sesame Seeds, Shredded Chicken in Garlic Sauce and the Seafood tofu casserole to share as main dish. It is really a nice restaurant to visit with a group and to order different dishes to share. The service was great and the food was delicious. I really enjoyed my experience at China Fun and I would definitely come back here.

Ordered the roast pork flat noodles soup to go. Wait was about ten minutes and I liked that they put the soup on the side. The roast pork was dry and over cooked. I didn’t expect much from this place anyways but the prices are too high for the low quality of food you get.

Deserves a much better rating. We came here on a Sunday night and decided to try it given the menu looked better than the Unilocal rating. The service was decent, which is what most complaints were about; however, the food and the value for money were great. My girlfriend’s parents are Chinese and I studied abroad in Beijing for nine weeks so we have a fairly good sense of authenticity. She had the Shanghai rice cakes(very good) and I had some beef Lo mien(also good). The Xiao long bao(soup dumplings) were probably the best. Overall not the best Chinese I’ve had by far, but very high up the scale on value for money. If you’re looking for good and authentic Chinese food at a good price, come here!

The food was average but the staff was rude. They seemed to be very annoyed when I ask simple questions like if the dish had any meat.

I wished they allow ZERO star but since they don’t, 1 star it is. Order through and it saw 45 – 60 minutes till delivery. an hour later, called the restaurant and the rude lady said you are next once the delivery boy is back. 20 minutes later, called the restaurant again and she said it’s on the wait. I told her they should update the status of the expected delivery time so people don’t end up waiting for food for god knows how long and she hung up on me. 15 minutes later, still no delivery. Had to call to complain and they had to call the restaurant to remind them the delivery protocol but no action or apology. Don’t care if the food is good or bad, this restaurant is off the list and not worth the trouble.

We were eating at China Fun and everything was going fine. Then while out entrée was being served one of the workers at this establishment walked through the restaurant with the garbage can while we were eating. We complained and the manager was extremely rude about it and acted as if it was normal. Which was alarming because it is illegal to do such a thing Under New York law. He was extremely disrespectful and we are definitely not coming back again. Everyone was rude and condescending instead of trying to fix the issue.

Hungry and in a new-to-me NYC neighborhood, I broke out Unilocal to find a fast, clean and inexpensive lunch stop. Like the Magic 8 Ball, Unilocal said«all signs point to China Fun». I thought, from the name that it was an arcade. A peek inside said, nice eatery, come on in. And, so I did. In a hurry to get to the near-by RM auto auction, I gave up all creativity and ordered the General’s chicken(spelled uniquely here). The waitress asked if I wanted it «spicy» and I took a shot and said yes.(Not a response I would have given in Chinatown!). Glad I did because it was spicy without being lip and tongue numbing. The plain fried rice was a disappointment. Nothing special– not bad, of course, but not memorable. Next time, white rice with lots of soy sauce for me. The chicken was cooked, dare I say, perfectly? I dare! White meat. Moist, tender, fresh tasting with a crispy crust that was both spicy and sweet. I ate it all, despite the generous portion served. With a can of soda(yeah, not cool) and tip, this upper east side restaurant tab was $ 12.75. Very fair and in line with the high quality and fast service. Great location too. Grab a window table to watch the passing parade. Could be 5 stars were it not for the plain tasting rice. Recommended

Good food, good service. Over the years portions have gotten smaller in some dishes. I’ll post photo if my Roast Chicken Over Noodle Soup in bowl(years ago bowl was huge) & see the photo of soup from a year ago that another person posted, & you will see my bowl had less chicken. In all fairness, my friend & I had stopped in late evening, so to try to give the benefit of the doubt, maybe they were running out of roast chicken pcs. Overall, good tasting food if you eat here. Good lunch specials. I guess prices are up most everywhere. My friend enjoyed his Singapore Chow Mai Fun. The scallion pancake is usually great here. And steamed seafood dumplings are good too. Egg roll was much better years ago.

It’s all-right, just another Chinese + Japanese combo restaurant that serves your usual dishes. My husband had a craving for pork ribs, so that was easy and I thought I’d order their sushi. It’s a big place and service is pretty attentive but sushi was not that fresh. They were kind of limp and if it wasn’t for the wasabi and ginger, would have been tasteless. The wasabi also tasted weird, like it wasn’t mixed properly. There was just something off about it. Upside was that we got a table outside. Other then that, it’s just your usual Chinese resto with no frills. Oh, some compensation would be the bubble tea drink list and the cocktail list wasn’t too shabby either.

The food is a step above your local chinese take out. It’s also expensive. Mostly have delivery, ate in once and the waitress was intense, they are on top of you and you do feel rushed. The mandarin noodle soups are quite good, my fav is the roast pork and cantonese wonton noodle soup(thin egg noodle always!!). The soup dumplings are yummy goodness and your average takeout doesn’t have em. Also notable the old shanghai style rice cake, shanghai style pork and chive dumplings, simple sautéed chinese broccoli and garlic, roast pork cantonese bbq. If you want amazing Chinese food go to Chinatown or Flushing this place will suffice if you live or work in the area. Would not go out of my way to come here tho.

The outside looked appealing enough to spark interest but that quickly died when I saw the waitress’ finger digging into my rice bowl as she laid it down on my table. Not only that, the food was bland and bitter and def could use a little bit more flavor like salt. I tried the sushi and the fish they had wasn’t as fresh as it looked on display. The lemon chicken they had looked like it was literally drenched in honey and just added lemon on the side to complete the dish. I had high hopes for this place, as popular as it seems. However, I can easily just order Chinese food in my local restaurant for way cheaper and get some decent food in my belly.

I would have given this experience a five star rating if weren’t for the annoying waitress. There is a simple feel and décor to this place. Nice energy and awesome crowd. There are countless places on 2nd Ave to go to and I doubt this place would be your first choice but I promise, it’s Chinese food like you have never had! The food is tasty and flavorful. The portions are sufficient and the service is good. I just didn’t like the fact that the annoying waitress kept walking over to our table, staring at us. It was impolite. Other than that one negative feedback, everything was good. Everyone enjoying their food and as you can see from the photo, the duck portion is huge. I don’t eat duck but I heard it’s cooked well and is delicate. You should try it. All-in-all, it was a great evening, spent well, with good people and great food.

Expensive for what it is, but a good and convenient option. China fun is located one block away from my apartment. The ambiance or the restaurant is nice. They have a large window that looks out onto 2nd ave. the middle of the restaurant of the restaurant had brick that’s supposed to mimic beining’s imperial city(I think so, anyway.) Definitely not a take-out, hole-in-the-wall feel. One never been for lunch, but looks like their lunch menu is a pretty good deal No matter what you get for dinner, you’ll end up paying 16 – 22 $ per person. The wait staff is very attentive, but the speed of service is so inconsistent that it’s consistent. What I mean is, when the place is full(which it often is), the food appears before you know it, and you are rushed out. On the other hand, when it’s on the emptier side, like it was last night, the food takes a WHILE. Like a long time. The food is a-ok and it’s a convenient option. So 3 stars
