STEERCLEAR! AWFUL! I left with bloody cuticles. I am not even sure if they sterilize their instruments as I could not tell if the light was on in the machine. Felt the place was not hygienic. I was there only once before, several months ago, wasn’t terribly impressed but thought I would give it one more try since it’s so close to my house — BIGMISTAKE. I regret so much having gone back! Owner/manager is highly unpleasant.

My polish is chipping and peeling very quickly now. Not sure what the difference is but it’s happened the past couple times and feels like money down the drain. I noticed one other recent review commenting on the same thing. Also, this may or may not be relevant, but the manager is clearly PISSED about the changes Cuomo forced on salon owners. There are posters and propaganda everywhere and it’s kind of off-putting knowing the environment isn’t positive.. ..

STAYAWAY! THEYDONOTAPPRECIATETHEIRCUSTOMERS! I’ve been coming to 2nd Ave on/off for the past few years, they’re a block away from my apt, mani/pedi price is reasonable, and there’s never a wait… but I guess all good things must come to an end. For the most part I’ve been satisfied with their product until this past Sunday when the mani they gave me lasted all of 2 days. I did what any reasonable person would do and returned after-work on Wednesday and asked them to re-polish it because something must’ve been wrong with the polish, etc. Keep in mind the place is empty and there are 3 employees sitting there doing absolutely nothing. The NASTY manager gives me a hard time, telling me they’ll fill-in where the polish chipped off(uh, really? No thanks) or I could pay $ 5 for a re-polish(again, no). The argument pursued and she even had the nerve to falsely accuse of doing the same thing once before(WTF? And I promise you that’s CERTAINLY not the case). Long story short, all I wanted was my freakin polish fixed… wasn’t like I wanted a refund, bc that would NEVER fly. But G-d forbid I actually expect them to stand behind their product(manager stammered that they don’t guarantee it will last for a week… again I’m talking 2 days!!!) The utter lack of respect for a customer who has dropped a substantial amount of money over time, all over something that would’ve taken 5min and a drop of polish… is disgraceful. Keep up the good work nasty manager lady, and soon you’ll be just another storefront ‘For Rent’ sign. Clean up your act and your work stations… bc you could both use it.

Poor job with a simple manicure. Edges of nails were left rough and ragged. Nail polish bubbles up so badly it looks discolored

The customer service wasn’t outstanding. However, they do deserve more stars. $ 25 mani pedi is a great deal for the UES. My nail tech was gentle, thorough and took her time without dragging it out. My nails look very nice. The place is clean and spacious. Would go again.

My gel manicure chipped the very next day! Went to have it repaired & it broke again along with 2 others now. Not worth the time nor the price!

Very no frills but they are clean and have a great color selection for regular mani/pedis. My manicure always lasts a long time. They do try to get people in and out quickly but I don’t mind. Their gel mani only costs $ 25, which is super reasonable. My nail tech did a great job(I hate when the layers are too thick but she painted them on thin and even along the edge of my cuticle). I wish they had more OPI gel colors though!

I’m visiting family in NYC and decide to get a manicure and pedicure here since it’s near where I’m staying. The lady who did my pedicure was pretty nice and gentle but the lady who did my manicure was rough and impatient. She cut my cuticle and caused me to bleed, and she didn’t even apologize! Worse yet, my French gel manicure chipped in just 3 days! I should have gone to the place around the corner which gets 5-star reviews.

This is a great choice in the area for an affordable mani/pedi. I find most of the salons in this vicinity are overpriced and the ones that aren’t are overcrowded and don’t look very clean. This salon charges $ 25 for a mani/pedi, it’s clean and spacious, and the staff are friendly and attentive without being intrusive or chatty. I was not rushed and appreciated the clean restroom and being able to pay for service plus tip by credit card. I’ll definitely return.

Was walking down 2nd Ave yesterday and my friend called and cancelled our lunch date. Great, I thought. Came all the way up here for nothing! Then I realized I was standing in front of this place and decided to treat myself to a mani/pedi. Good choice! They were pretty empty(it was 2pm on a Monday) but it was clean. Good selection of colors, friendly enough staff. The reason they get 4 stars instead of 5 is because I felt it was a little rushed(I like my M/P to take a little longer than an hour).
