Since coming here, I haven’t gone to another place for breakfast; it’s been at least 8 months. They consistently serve fresh tasting, quality meals. There are a few favorites of mine, but I’ve tried many things on the menu for breakfast and lunch and I’m always impressed.

Solid diner. Great local business, better than«chain» food. They had good chicken noodle soup, which the kids enjoyed and the bakery items look pretty delish. I had souvlaki and it was ok. I will try again with something more like a club. Others had burgers(very large even for the kids meal!) and grilled pastrami. Coleslaw and fries were very good and they had a nice pickle! We will try it again.

I was really in the mood for Greek food, but unfortunately there aren’t any real Greek restaurants around where we live, so my husband and I decided to order take-out from this diner. I ordered the chicken souvlaki deluxe. It was good, but I can’t give it 5 stars because of the sauce. Their version of tzaziki sauce(I believe they call it cucumber sauce) was really disappointing. The sauce is what usually makes a chicken souvlaki or gyro so good! However, theirs is simply lacking flavor. I came home and added a whole lot of salt and pepper to it, which made it a lot better. Without it, it simply tastes like plain yogurt — very bland. The chicken was also overcooked, almost rubbery. The fries however were very good. I’ll check this place out again, but won’t be ordering the souvlaki.

REALLY happy with my Adelphia experience this weekend(see: my review for Athena Diner II). Needless to say, they were happy to seat a table of 6 on very short notice. The food was amazing(I had the tomato omelette with Swiss cheese) and the prices were good. Apparently these are the people who used to run the Neptune house, which was our favorite haunt in high school. The lights over the table seem to be the same, although the nautical theme is much more subtle. I will definitely be back — this is our new go-to diner in town!

I ordered Philly cheese steak omelette with a side of french toast. The waitress was quick and responsive to my needs. The place was clean and the food was decent. It seemed like they already had regulars. They were greeting some customers by their first names. It was a pleasant place to be in.

Much more than a typical diner, this family restaurant is a wonderful addition to North Haven, and Wallingford’s loss since they had been there for many years before selling to a developer. There is plenty of comfortable seating with the ability to easily serve small groups of people, and the décor provides an attractive atmosphere. The menu is extensive and has something for every palate. Their broiled seafood dinner is outstanding, as is their prime rib; and the desserts are delicious and countless. The service is truly above average, and the owners are very friendly while always treating their customers with respect.

Solid new diner in the area, came for a low key, quick dinner on a Friday night. Was happy to see the place doing well, with most of the tables filled. The staff was pleasant and on the ball. French onion soup– delicious! cheesy, oniony, tasty broth. I’ll be back for this. Gyro– good sized, tasty meat, good tatziki. Patty melt– traditional americana diner fare. Spot on! Also they gave me a side of gravy and cheese fries, who doesn’t like fries drenched in gravy? Baklava was good too! Brought it home for a late night sweet bite.

We had an awesome time there and the chocolate milk was very good. They should think about adding background music for example«Dion and the Belmonts»

Yum! We ventured in on a Saturday around noon. We were hungry for some breakfast. Our waitress greeted us right away and returned swiftly with our drinks. I ordered the veggie omelet with cheddar cheese and my husband ordered the farmer’s omelet with cheddar cheese. Both of our omelets were generously filled, and everything tasted fresh. The hash browns are made at the restaurant and reminded me of true homemade hash browns. The prices were right on par with other places but the service and quality sets it above the rest. We will be going back for sure!

I have to say, this is one of my new fav restaurants. I’ve been to Adelphia probably 10 times in the last 2 months. It’s so convenient, food comes out fast so I can eat & continue on with my day. I love the features that they built in like the exposed brick by the breakfast bar & the Greek statue & flower pots built into the brick(the chandelier is gorgeous too). Food has been consistently great. I have had some amazing steaks, the French fries are so good, shrimp dinner was great & breakfast foods are AMAZING… Especially the French toast! The only thing I haven’t tried yet are the desserts, they are displayed so nicely, I can’t wait to try them. I’m always so full after my meal so I may have to have dessert before dinner next time!

Love aldephia! Food is great, service is quick, great family atmosphere. Had a couple of their dinner specials and they were so good. My favorite to get is their Greek salad. All the deserts look so good too… I tried the strawberry shortcake and chocolate mouse… so good!!! Definitely will be going back again and again

I ordered a cheeseburger cooked medium rare, and it was definitely well done. I ate it anyways because the management was already busy criticizing his employees, and I am also not that nitpicky at these types of casual places where I already know the food won’t be spectacular before I order. No expectations and no major disappointments. With that said I’ll probably still return in the future. The food was generally fine and edible. This place is conveniently located for my weekday schedule. Much like Connecticut as a whole, this place is not exactly memorable, but it will do. I’ll probably order dessert next time though — they do have a big selection on display.

Went 2 days ago to see how the place was, and I wont be back. My omelet was smaller than the 3 egg omelet. I received a very small portion of home fries. My toast was burned and the waitress laughed and didn’t offer to replace it. Upon leaving I told the owner but only a SMIRK was given.

Stopped by for breakfast and I was less than impressed. We ordered some omelets and their corned beef hash. They supposedly make their own hash, so I was eager to try it. Unfortunately, just because its not out of a can, doesn’t mean its any good. Their potato to corned beef ratio was way off, with so many potatoes making it seem very bland. While I could see plenty of onions in it as well, they imparted no flavor. Only a generous amount of black pepper made it edible. Their omelets were pretty mediocre. Edible? Sure. Good? Not really. Parking seems good at first, but the marked flow for traffic is just bad. It created a mess with only two people trying to leave while one other was trying to enter. There should not have been that problem and a better organized lot would never have lead to this situation. Service was a mixed bag. While the waitress was nice enough, she didn’t listen to her customers. We had to ask three times for a to-go box. Another concern is that she never came back around to refill waters or top off anyone’s cup of coffee. I’m just glad she didn’t screw anything up – there were no mistakes. I’m not going to go out of my way to come back. If someone else wants to go, fine, I wont argue much. But really, for the price you have to pay for mediocre food, you really can do better.

Ordered french toast and asked how many pieces were in a «full» stack. She told me «3». When it came out, there were only 2., I questioned her, and she said she made a mistake. Okay. Then my husband’s toast was burned. He told the waitress, and she just laughed and kept walking. The portions were SMALL, and we left hungry. We told the owner about everything, and he said he was sorry. Believe me, he couldn’t have cared less. Would NEVER go back!

Visited Adelphia Café today for breakfast. We were a small group for Father’s Day and figured give this place a shot. Overall it was ok. The two children in the group ordered blueberry pancakes and a waffle with strawberries. Both looked good and the children seem to enjoy. I ordered the corned beef hash with eggs, home fries and toast. Hash was pretty decent if not a bit mushy. Lots of flavor there. Same with the home fries. Great flavor and cooked really well. Overall nothing really stood out. About par for the course. A negative was with the omelets. They did not come with any type of cheese. That was extra. Omelets need cheese and should not be extra on top of the price of the omelet. This really was my only complaint about the restaurant. Prices were fairly standard and staff very friendly. In the end I’d be happy to come back to Adelphia for breakfast or lunch if I’m in the area. I think this restaurant has a lot of potential and look forward to seeing what they develop into.

If diner food is what you are looking for, this is the place for you! We stopped for dinner last night and we were not disappointed. Ordered the French Onion soup which looked amazing! The broth was a little bland but the cheese was amazing and it was cooked to perfection. I ordered the BLT which you really can’t screw up. My fiancé had the bacon cheeseburger. He ordered medium rare and came out medium which was just fine. The best part… real delicious bacon! We can’t wait to go back for breakfast!!! Staff was super friendly. Oh wait! Did I mention the desserts??? Amazing fresh spread of cakes, pies, pastries. The chocolate cheesecake I thought was delicious but my fiancé thought it lacked tanginess… why don’t you be the judge! :)

This diner is just that, a diner with the usual diner menu, average prices and your typical diner waitstaff. Not great not bad just your typical diner with one exception THEHOMEMADEGREEKYOGURT!!! Holy cow it’s awesome. I’ve only had Greek yogurt this good one other place and that’s the Greek festival in Orange. I’m telling you, if you are a Greek yogurt fan go there and $ 4.50 they give you a big bowl of yogurt. Add in honey for 50 cents and granola for 50 cents. The honey is a must.

I visited this restaurant with my friends a few days ago. You have to understand, we’re med students. We’re very weird people. While waiting for our dinner the night before an exam, we decided to play a study game on the placemats. Our waitress was floored and checked on us frequently to see what we were getting up to. It was hilarious and we enjoyed ourselves tremendously. The food is tasty, the prices are good, the service is great, and they have cookies at the cashier podium. A+, will eat here again.
