What a great meal. Tuna tartar, fried goat cheese salad and Zuppe de Pesce and magnificent coconut cake! Absolutely top notch. See Brian — he’ll hook you up!

The homemade pasta is a must. Recently, I tried the homemade rigatoni with sausage(delicious, I think house made as well) arugula and capers. The cavatelli with sausage and broccoli rabe is superb. The salads are good. The tuna tartare is past it’s prime — it was fresh of course but dated. My husband had the spaghetti bolognese with veal, pork, and beef — very good just not my taste. Service is pleasant. I was looking forward to a wine that was on the wine list– the waitress said they no longer carry it. Call at least a few days ahead for a reservation.

It’s a hidden gem in New Milford located next to Salsa Mexican Restaurant. My husband and I decided to come for lunch because we have heard that it’s hard to get a reservation and I can see why! It was delicious and the waitress really supplied A+ customer service. First we ordered regular bar drinks versus anything on the drink menu. I ordered a cosmopolitan and my husband got an amaretto sour. Let me start off by saying that they were top notch. I would come back just to sit at the bar if the opportunity presented itself. We both ordered items off of the specials menu. My husband ordered the porkchop Milanese and I ordered the smoked salmon salad over baby kale. I did not like it at all and I was given no problem to exchange it for something I would like. I then ordered the chicken Francais with a side of pasta and sautéed spinach and that was absolutely wonderful. Considering we spent $ 50 on a lunch it was well worth it. Update: we recently had a dinner experience here and ordered items off the specials once again. It did not disappoint! They had crab and lobster ravioli in a pink champagne sauce and a spinach and egg drop soup. They were both so delicious I feel like I can still taste them. Also whoever created the specials did a wonderful job pairing unlikely combinations. My husband had a tomato and mozzarella appetizer that also included orange slices and it was to die for! Bravo Lucia! You did it again!

We were wandering through town on as beautiful night and popped in for a beverage and a small bite. The place was busy with all the tables taken, so we sat at the bar. The wine offerings were of great quality, and we settled on a malbec. We shared a plate of the special ravioli, in a light cream sauce… it was amazing. The bartender even had two plates made to make it more convenient. The ambiance was warm and friendly, and the crowd was lively, and there were a lot of conversations between tables. The floor staff was fast and attentive.

We have been here before and in the past it was great. It was our one night out with friends and we decided to go here. Well it started off with our waiter who didn’t seem to happy to be there. No sense of humor but whatever. We got our menus and one of them came with quite a few ants. No we didn’t order them. No biggie. This stuff happens and the hostess was very apologetic. We ordered blood orange martini and the lemon cello martini. Not so good. The girls couldn’t drink the lemon cello. Waaaay to much absolute overpowered it we even had them change it up a bit but no luck. Blood orange was very hard to drink and we stuck with the Pellegrino to be safe. The apps were good tuna tar tar and the calamari were good. We ordered our main meal and it took about an hour to get. Luckily we had company to talk with. The steaks were ok. The service took forever and the waiter didn’t pay much mind to us. All and all the night was a disappointment. I know this place can do better and hopefully they will pay closer attention to people that are spending close to 500 $ for a night out. We don’t go out much but when we do we want to get better service and food than we can get at home. Hoping this was just a bad night for them.

An absolute gem right in downtown New Milford. I’m hardly able to decide where to begin. The space is charming, comfortable and classy. Service was top shelf throughout. The menu was rich with choices, it was difficult to select both my salad and main courses. I ended up choosing the daily special salad, which harkened back to my time in Sicily last year. Creamy mozzarella sitting atop a thick, sweet slice of orange and a meaty tomato slice, it was drizzled with olive oil and just barely spiced. Add some fresh greens and some fresh-ground black pepper, and you have an incredible flavor combination. I could have happily ordered an entrée-sized portion of that salad and still given Lucia five stars. I often order veal when dining Italian — we don’t eat it at home due to my wife’s veal-aversion, and while growing up near Providence, I learned that Italians know how to prepare veal well. I had veal cutlets rolled up with mushrooms, spinach and small chunks of spicy meat, in a creamy Parma-Rosa sauce. Paired with some Brussels sprouts and carrots, I was in heaven. I had a couple of glasses of the house Chianti, which was perfect with my meal. A shout out to the warm, crusty bread as well — normally I’d eschew the bread but this was impossible to ignore. Delicious! We finished with dessert and some espresso. I had heard they were known for their pistachio layer cake, so that’s what we chose. Delicate, not overly-sweet, and light yet satisfying, I’ll be ordering that again. Honestly, it was one of the best Italian dinners I’ve had outside of Italy, made more enjoyable by the complimentary limoncello brought by our delightful hostess at the end. Molto bene, Lucia!

My husband and I had a wonderful relaxing meal. Everything we ate that night tasted excellent– thanks to the recommendations from our waitress. A little expensive for us, but we will be back on a special occasion.

When to a private event at Lucia and I really enjoyed this small, but, excellent establishment. The food and service was very good. Considering the amount of people at this event, they did an outstanding job to make sure everyone was taken care of. The food was great, and, I look forward to going back to look at their regular menu. Nice place, great food and service, well worth the visit.

Best Restaurant in the area, by far. The service is stellar. Tracey, Jaquie, Dan & Lauren are professional, courteous and always greet you with a smile. The food is fantastic and the chef, Tony Caldareri, always make you feel like family. I have so many favorites they are hard to list but if I had choose… I say,” Definitely don’t miss the Mussels Gorgonzola, the Kale Salad, Rib Eye Steak and the Pistachio Cake. YUM!

Based in previous reviews, we chose Lucia to celebrate our anniversary while visiting New Milford. Just loved this place! The service was excellent. Dan was the server and he was welcoming, attentive and helpful. The food was fantastic. I had the scallop special and the asparagus and prosciutto appetizer. Don’t miss these if they are offered when you visit. The wine list is good. Wish they offered Titos vodka at the bar but that’s a small thing and easily overlooked. They have a small and sweet outdoor space though we sat inside because it was cool out. Overall, we loved it and will be back.

Really great Italian food that definitely stands out in a town full of Italian restaurants. Great wine menu and the food is just delicious. Portions are big, seafood is fresh and the flavors are just perfect. A little on the pricey side but totally worth it if you want to splurge on fabulous pasta with super tasty cream sauces(which most of the pastas are made with). There are always a good amount of great specials, as well.

Very good, enjoyed scallops and home made pasta! Small inside, can be loud if crowded. Not overly kid friendly.

Great service in a very busy establishment. My wife and I have stopped in many times without a reservation and somehow they find a way to seat us. All of the food is wonderful and fresh. From time to time you see local celebrities like Ian Hunter(All the Young Dudes) eating right next to you. The wine list is deep and affordable. I’ve told all of my associates never to hit anyone in this resturant.

We had a wonderful lunch at Lucia’s yesterday! We had ordered,(panini and a pasta,) when I spied an order of their mussels and clams going by. So we thought we had better try those too! We were not sorry that we did that! They were wonderful! The rolls that were served were fantastic too! We loved the place, and the service was wonderful too! They only need to do two things. The lighting needs to be dimmed,(nobody looks good under down lights!) and they really need to do something about that 2×4 ceiling. I’d suggest as a quick fix, to just paint it.

I have been here several times for lunch and dinner. The food is always good, nothing superbly outstanding but considering the restaurant options in the area. The service is always friendly and attentive. When the restaurant is full, acoustics can be quite loud. Check out the cotton candy martini, and French dip for lunch.

There’s an overabundance of Italian food in the greater New Milford area and Lucia stands tall among them. Possibly the best in the area, if you want pasta or seafood, you’re foolish to go anywhere else. This isn’t your typical italian restaurant, the menu isn’t huge so you can be sure each dish will be cooked to perfection. They have some of the standards but also some great creative dishes as well. Their menu is amazing. They have perhaps the finest Rissotto outside of New York City. Their Veal Bolognese Ravioli was savory and to die for. The Seafood Cioppino was the most generous portion I’ve ever had, with tons of all the best mussels, clams, shrimp, cod, scallops, and a white wine butter sauce that’s tooo diieeee forrrrr!!! We also wanted a Fetuccini Alfredo, which wasn’t on the menu, and they were more than happy to make it for us! The sauce was more oily than I was hoping, but it tasted terrific! The bread they serve, which is always warm, was perfect for dipping in all the sauces and broths. And for apps… the tuna tar tar is a great take. Not your typical lime juice and sesame oil that you’ve had everywhere else. This one’s served with mango and avocado with a light vinaigrette. Seriously worth going just for this app. The patio on Bank Street provides some great people watching across from the movie theater(New Milford is amazing for people watching). You have that small town charm that Bank Street offers, so on a nice day, there’s not a better lunch in the downtown area. If you’re sitting inside, there aren’t many tables, so the atmosphere is kept friendly and intimate. Luccia Ristorante este número uno! You’re missing out if you don’t try it.

2 couples went there last night for a birthday celebration(all 4 of us a first time there) and even though the food was good, it was overpriced and service was not as attentive as it should be at a place like this. Our table was ready at 8:45, though we were disappointed that we were seated at the first table as you entered. Table was set nicely, dishes and flatware were of high quality, but our waiter seemed to rush us at the early part if the meal, then disappeared for the dessert and coffee part. He did make a nice suggestion for our table companions to split a Caesar salad, which was perfect. I had the sea scallops over risotto, and though delicious, there were only 3 on the plate(@$ 23 each). I guess you’d say I’d try it again, and hope that service and prices were different, for sure.

I found this restaurant just OK. The portions are huge so you will get your money’s worth if you enjoy large quantities of food. Overall, I found the selections on the heavy side(breaded fried meats, lots of melted cheese, pastas with cream sauces) and surprising ly there are no vegetarian entrees, even in the pasta section of the menu. The item I liked most was the calamari and white bean appetizer though it was sized more as an entrée than an appetizer. Also, it was fairly spicy which was a bit of a surprise. I wish I had ordered just the calamari and a salad it would have been plenty of food. This restaurant was quite busy on a Saturday night and seems to be a popular place. You can eat inside or outside, the service was fairly prompt, the owner pitched in to clear our plates when things got busy. Overall this restaurant was not as good as I had expected from the reviews here as well as from the person who recommended this restaurant to me. Although, I realize that there are not too many restaurants to choose from in New Milford CT. I am an occasional visitor to the area so I haven’t tried out too many of the restaurants, but think I really prefer the meals that I have had at the Upper Crust on Rt. 202.
