Small place. The dirty dishes are stacked in the corner and you can see right in the dirty kitchen. The only decent item was a burger and who can’t make a burger? Once was enough. I won’t be back.

First time there tonight & it was fantastic! The space itself is charming, our server was quick & friendly, and the food was really wonderful… Loved the«Balboa» and the curried chicken lettuce wraps were amazing! Reasonably priced too… can’t wait to go back!

A great restaurant in the middle of New Milford, small and very cool. service was very good as the bartender/server was very attentive, even though there was a full house. Food: small menu, but all are quality items. my wife and I had: Appetizers: House Mussels — great taste, loved the flavor with the bacon and all the great stuff in it, loved dipping my bread in the broth after Cajun Tots — awesome take on tater tots, loved the cheese and bacon topping and the spice was right. Main Course: Dagwood burger — my wife loved it, and pretty much gunned it down quick. looked real good, but i was affraid to taste it due to my wife possible biting my finger off Cubano Sandwich — loved it, one of the best around ct. the pork was cooked perfectly and the ham and cheese was great. the bread was nice and soft, not soggy, which sometimes is a problem at some restaruants. dessert — had an awesome crêpe with ice cream and chocolate… was out standing. drinks — tried the jalepeno mule drink, which was damn good. had a regular vodka martini, also good. my wife had some summer ales. loved the drink list. the only negative was that they ran out of the beer my wife was drinking, and restocked it a little late, so it was warm. other than that, the drinks were great, overall great place, great prices, drank and ate alot and only spent like 75 bucks… only dropped a star due to the warm beer, but thats understandable since my wife drinks like a fish. next time we go, if the beer is cold, they will get that one star back.

Casual vibe, excellent food and drinks. We’ve been to Dagwoods a few times now and have never been disappointed. It has become our go to place in New Milford. Highly recommended!

Visited friends that live near New Milford and they took us to Dagwoods. Small place and everyone that works there was working so hard as they were super busy. Nice beer selection — local and a few from California! The Dagwoods Burger was beyond amazing and the truffle chips were SO good. 10⁄10 reccomend.

My second time at Dagwoods and it was so delicious. Dan and Sarah were great servers and Kevin was very gracious host! The food is really amazing and we had the privilege of tasting Kevin’s crab cakes that did not disappoint. The atmosphere is so comfortable. My new favorite place in New Milford!

Food was good service was terrible. Bartender or waitress didn’t check in at all and she was just not friendly. Tipped her anyway just because the food was good. May go back if she’s not working.

I have no idea why everyone says this place is incredible. The service was lousy, the food was mediocre, they had no clean glasses and our waiter disappeared. I’d have given it no stars of I could.

Had an excellent lunch here today. My husband had the Dagwood burger and said it was incredible and their unique«bacon jam» on the burger was amazing. I had the fried chicken thighs and French fries. Both were made to perfection. The fries must be the best around. Highly recommend this establishment!

Visited Dagwoods this evening, I was pleasantly surprised. Though the place is small the tables were put in such way you don’t feel on top of the guests siting next you. The décor was rustic and cute, the bathroom also had a nice touch. First glance at the menu I thought it was small and might be over priced, but turned out to be okay. My boyfriend and I started with the fried calamari served with marinara and garlic aioli. It was really good but for $ 14 I was expecting a bit more. We also had a bowl of the corn chowder, it was also enjoyable. My boyfriend had the Dagwood burger that had a bacon jam and garlic aioli. he really enjoyed it, said he didn’t even want to put ketchup on it. I had the Dagwood philly minus the onions. it did have a cheese sauce which I thought it could have used more of but it was good. They were both enjoyable. We finished with the churro crêpe topped with vanilla icecream and an awesome chocolate sauce. Good food, service was great. Defiantly enjoyed our waitresses outgoing personality. Will be back.

Our favorite restaurant in New Milford! This town needed a place like this, so happy they’re here. The food is comfort food and more! We’ve tried the burgers, cubano sandwich, bbq nachos, dagwoods mussels, flatbreads, haven’t had a bad meal yet! Love the many small plate options, the food really is top notch. My husband and I really enjoy eating out and I’m pretty critical of food because I also love to cook at home. Nothing more disappointing then going out/paying for a meal you could have cooked better at home. Its hard to find places of this caliber, the food is creative and so tasty! On our first 2 trips they were out of the fried chicken, which they advertised heavily at first, so that was disappointing, but I’d say the level of food we did have easily made up for that little misstep. The place is small so keep that in mind when going out at peak times, but surprisingly we’ve never had a issue getting a spot(one time eating at the small bar of 4 seats). It’s usually just 1 person working the room and our last visit on Sat. night it seemed to get a little overwhelming for the gentleman serving everyone, so I may suggest they may want to keep someone on hand to help during busy times. It’s such a small place that having someone quickly shuffling around through the tables is a little distracting and makes the dining experience feel a little«chaotic». It’s still fairly new so I think they will manage to work out a few of the kinks I mentioned, but overall this place rocks! I think you’ll be hard pressed to find a better place for awesome american comfort/“foodie” food in the area. If you need more enticing, follow them on instagram… the pictures say it all. Yum yum yum!

The place is small and you are kind of hesitant looking in from the outside but we decided to give it a try and boy are we glad we did. The food was spot on delicious from the burger to the pizza to the salad along with my unique beer and wine selections. The place is small so you need to either make a reservation or come in on luck and find an open table. The kitchen is an open view so you can see that it’s clean and the people working in it are presentable. I will def be back to see what other specials pop up on the bored. Worth a try in my Connecticut opinion. They need to hire wait staff to be different from the bartender. He can’t do both at the same time. Not to mention when you sit at the bar and the bartender pours himself a shot of Jamison and doesn’t cheers the people sitting right in front of him… Says he needed to loosen up for the night … I’d say just drink the owners profits away… Other then that dumb move and needing more staff the food was spot on. In addition something that annoyed me was $ 9 for a glass of Malbec… This is a small bar-restaurant. No way a glass of wine should be more than $ 6 including 400% profit. Also the bartender pushed one of our guest to allow him to make her a cocktail. After he asked a few times she gave in and it was maybe three sips worth. BOOM $ 9 charge for a «cocktail». Maybe this guys pocketing the extra money? Maybe he’s pulling a scam but he’s not bringing back a loyal customer for some more drinks. I’ll just stick with their food. Hope the owner realizes and improves his staff.

I’m so glad that Dagwood’s is open on Bank St. What a great option to have after going to see a movie or running some quick errands downtown. Super friendly service, love the flatbread pizzas and the truffle oil chips. My hubby loved their fried chicken as well. Wonderful salad specials as well. Yummy spot, a must try if you are on Bank St.

Wow. I can’t wait to come back here. I came here on New Year’s Day and the place was slow. I was craving a juicy burger to soak up alcohol from the night before, and I was so impressed. I ordered the Dagwood burger, and it was beyond flavorful — don’t add any ketchup to your burger! The garlic aioli paired with the shoestring onions was amazing. I also ordered the dirty Cajun tots. I’m not a fan of jalapeño, so I’m glad that all of the tots weren’t spicy, and that I was able to pick around them. Overall the ambiance is intimate, and I can’t wait to come back here the next time I’m in town.

Cool atmosphere, the food was delicious. We ordered the fried chicken sandwich, buffalo chicken pizza, and a steak sandwich w/au jus. Both sandwiches were very delicious, the pizza was just okay. Also ordered two cocktails which were fairly expensive for the small size. I’d definitely return

Food was really good. Not that many seats… be patient. you will be happy you waited. New place so they are still finding their way. Great wait staff. Very refreshing for New Milford.

This place has only been open for a few week, but it seems to be running pretty nicely. It is a pretty small space, so best not to show up with a party of 10 and no reservation. The service is very good. Attentive but not intrusive. Bottled beer, wine, and liquor available. We only tried a couple of menu items, but they were excellent. The Balboa French dip sandwich, and the Honey Bleu Bleu burger. The menu is a little limited right now, but i think they’re using their«soft opening» to fine tune it. We’ll definitely be returning.

Stopped by on a whim and they were offering a limited menu for a soft opening. My wife and I gave it a try and it was amazing. We had the wings to start which had a great flavor — little sweet with a slight after heat. The burgers were delicious with great flavor and super juicy. How can you go wrong with bacon onion jam?! The burger came with a side of homemade truffle chips that had a great crunch. Can’t wait to get back and try the full menu!
