John’s Best Pizza Restaurant

I always order fried calamari at restaurants. This place has my favorite. Their pizza is also good, and the cannolis– delicious!

So refreshing to be back up North and have real pizza. Very tired of the thing they call «pizza» in Florida.
The crust, the cheese, so good.
I have never been to this location before, but it is easy to get to and they served up the food very fast.
Not to mention that had a nice Winter Sam Adams brew on tap. Yay.

Went for lunch with a friend. Mine had hair in it — a hair that resembled the other waitress’ hair. I told the waiter and he said it was my hair. My hair is brown and this hair was black and totally looked like it came out of the other waitress’ bangs (straight with a curly end). I told him it wasn’t mine so he said he’d remove it for me. My friend was disgusted and quickly said we wanted another meal. I told them to make it to go because at that point I had lost my appetite. I can assure you that when I got home I threw it out because I didn’t trust what might have been done to that lunch since our waiter was so angry when he had to pack up another lunch. It was one of the most unpleasant situations I have ever encountered and I don’t know which was worse, the hair or the waiter’s attitude.

Been here regularly since moving to New Milford. We’ve done mostly take out but we’ve dined in as well. The pizza is great! The entrees are standard Italian fare but made well and taste how you expect… the only thing I wish they would improve is their garlic knots, they are really bland. BUT that’s my biggest gripe, which in the scheme of things is not a big deal. When you head to Johns best you’ll most definitely have a tasty meal.

It’s been a few years since I’ve stopped into John’s Best Pizza in New Milford. Was passing by today, grabbed a sausage slice to go. It’s still decent pizza, but not quite as good as I recall from the past. Also, 3 dollars and change is a bit high for a slice w/​toppings.
They still have an awesome selection of slices, best I’ve seen in my travels.

Best pizza and Italian food in town. Friendly staff and owner, they always make you feel at home.

Really good pizza. Had it 2 days ago after a long day at work and very much so loved it. I wish it was a little crunchier of a crust and pizza dough (got soggy in the middle and very droopy, ask for it a little well done next time to make up for it) but still delicious. Loved the pizza sauce too, that was on point! Not too chunky and just sweet enough to compliment the greasy pepperoni.

Very good pizza, tried a cheese, a pepperoni and mushroom pie. All three were delicious, quintessential ct style pizzas (it was moving day and had to feed the helpers lol). Will definitely order from John’s best again.

My husband took me out tonight to Johns Best. When we walked in the place was empty. Not a good sign. We were thinking that they must close really early. Almost turned around and left. We had a second thought and decided we would give it a try anyway.
Considering we were the only ones in the restaurant our service was not very good. When our food arrived it looked appetizing and it was tasty. However I don’t like feeling like we are the only ones. It was like the staff went home and forgot us. I don’t think I would go back again. I like friendly service and would like the waitress to check on us once in awhile.

I was there friday night and they were slamed. We ordered appetizers and pizza and couple grinders. Let me tell u how much i was surprized. First, app came quick. Then grinders came same time wt pizza wich i was afraid not to. These people sell may be 300 pizza per night. Really appreciate my waiter (johny) great attitude although he was so busy, awsome service. My second vizit on a busy night. Coming back for sure.

Best Pizza in town! It always comes out good. I come from a family of nine and four or five large pizza’s satisfy everyone’s needs and sometimes there are left overs. Even for that many prices it is pretty cheap than the usual. I would highly recommend this place although I have never had anything besides the pizza so I am unsure how well they make their entrees. Check it out!

Tried this place for the first time with three friends. It will definitely be the last. Had a calamari appetizer that was sub par, obviously frozen. As a matter of fact all the proteins we ate were not fresh. All four entrées were completely tasteless, and my dinner companions are not picky eaters. You shouldn’t have to SALT Italian food once it hits the table. Charging $ 17 for frozen lobster ravioli or any other frozen entrée is just ridiculous. Total waste of time and money.

I’ve loved Johns Best in Brookfield for 10 years; great pizza and good quality moderately priced italian food. Their family-​owned New Milford location is just as good, perhaps even better. The ambience is very nice for a pizza/​restaurant. The service is quick and pleasant, the pizza is above average, and the price is right. I recommend Johns Best for good family type Italian food and pizza.
They make the crossover between pizzeria and italian restaurant just fine.

Great service, great food and a great price and the owner is super nice. We go there every week. Excellent and consistent!

The pizza is ok but the rest of the menu is ehh. The special” soft shell crab” was actually spoiled and we got our money back.

The pizza is OK, the rest of the menu is OK… Go here if it is convenient, but there is far better pizza down the road.

When it comes to pizza in New Milford, these guys are the best. Have been buying my pizzas only from them since they were a single restaurant in the khols shopping center in brookfield. Now they have 3 booming locations. That really says a lot about the quality of the food.
