Glass Half Full Tap Room

This bar and grill is attached to the alamo draft house. They have tvs for your viewing your favorite sport. They have the same menu as the theater. Im not a big bar persone but this place is nice. It has a rustic look to it. We sat and waited for our movie to start. They wait staff checked on us and ask if would like to order. Which was nice. I just found it a little weird how a lady was sitting at the bar with her 3 kids.

The food is great but the service is SLOW! You have to flag down a server to place an order. They literally are all milling around behind the bar not serving people. Then they seem irritated you asked to place an order.

My husband I had debated going here for several weeks, given its poor Unilocal review, but decided given the convenience, we would try it out tonight, and are glad that we did! Yes, it is the bar for the Alamo Drafthouse movie theater. We walked in, and were not the only party not going to the movies. We sat at the bar to have a good view of the beer selection, and they had about 25 – 30 beers on tap, about ²⁄₃ of those were good craft beers. We had several different beers, from St. Arnolds, O’dell, and Big Bend Brewing, and they were all good. We ordered a wrap and a pizza — a chicken shwarma wrap, and a broccoli goat cheese pizza; both were awesome! Safe to say, this is likely to become one of our favorite bars in New Braunfels.

Thought we would drop in before movie started. They are slow, it’s been 15 minutes and nobody has asked me if I wanted anything. Never again!
