I’ve been here with my family numerous times and they never seem to get our order right or we find ourselves wondering when one of the dishes we order will come out. Recently we ordered shrimp fried rice, but we ended up with this combo fried rice on our table instead. We let the server know that it wasn’t what we ordered, but he was persistent in making us just settle for the combo fried rice. Although, their phở and egg rolls are pretty good and the place is kept clean and decorated nicely.

Instantly became doubtful of this place as soon as I walked in, due to a staff member shouting at me asking if I’m eating here or to go with a screwed up look on his face. What’s the problem? I thought to myself… is there something on my shirt? My friend was waiting for me at a corner table so I just promptly walked over and seated myself. After that it took about 20 mins for someone to actually take our drink orders and since it took so long for that we just decided to not chance it and order food as well. It took our waiter 5 repeat backs to confirm what we actually ordered since he did not seem to speak English very well. The food came out promptly, but we had to flag down multiple waiters for different things including the check because one would either say there busy or say ok and never return. I’m not a big Vietnamese food eater but I know the food regardless of what culture it came from should have some kind of flavor… and my broth in my phở did not have any. My Bbq beef was ok marinated right but I guess I’m not used to a flat type of meat. The only thing I truly enjoyed was my jasmine tea and the white rice. I wouldn’t come here again. I can scratch phở off the bucket list.

We came here for our fave phở bo! I love that they always put a lot of tripe, beef tendon and yummy bits of meat on it. We love the interior of restaurant, it is clean and modern. We also ordered Thai tea and the banh mi beef sandwich. The banh mi is very tasty, crunchy and soft inside, the beef has great flavors. Service is always fast but wish they’re a little friendlier and share a little smile once in awhile to their customers.;)

Ginger phở is one of my favorite phở restaurants. They’re service is always fast and their food is great! I usually order the Well done steak and tripe and fresh spring rolls. My last visit I got some Beef Bahn Mi which apparently takes longer to serve than the phở which was interesting to learn. I still enjoy this place and have had several birthday dinners here. Love it.

Living down south this is my go to place other than Phở Hiep! If I were to choose a phở place to go to… This would be my first choice. I usually get the beef entrée and I’m always satisfied! The phở they serve is just good. They offer decent customer service and are attentive when you need them. But recently I’ve been calling to go and by the time I arrive it’s always ready at the prompt time they tell me.

I’ve eaten here two times, and the first time I got the house special phở and I didn’t like it too much. I did however like the BBQ beef spring rolls. I decided to give this place a second try. Got the beef meatball phở, Vietnamese egg rolls, and beef with crispy noodles. The beef meatball phở had a nice taste to the broth, but I didn’t like the meatballs. The reason I’m giving this place two stars is because I found a hair in my crispy noodles. It was a shame because I was enjoying my meal, too. The food here reminds me of the food I used to eat back home, and just finding that hair in the noodles made me really think about coming back. I did not point it out to anyone who worked there though. I just went through my meal and went along with my day, but I don’t plan to give this place another chance. I’m sorry Ginger Phở & Grill, but I must leave you now.

Wasn’t sure what to expect when I first entered the restaurant it was busy and it took a moment or two for my eyes to adjust. I had to walk to the very back of the restaurant because that is where the register was to place my order. The restaurant was clean and the décor was elegant and simple. The menu had a nice selection of dishes. Noodles with beef, chicken, pork seafood or any combination and various other food selections. The hostess was helpful explaining the menu choices and I decided to try the house special(Phở)Beef Noodle Soup to go. It was packed with flavor and had lots of different tender cuts of beef, vegetables and noodles. Because my order was to go they wrapped the beef, noodles, and vegetables separately. I had to add them all to the favorable broth mixture once I got home. That being said it was very good but next time I will dine in.

Only one guy who works here actually gets my order right. How hard is it to take out the pork leg & substitute the round thick noodle to the thin kind? I ordered a to-go, when I opened my food with joy, I only saw broth & one huge pork leg. All of my blood cubes were gone. I really really loath pork leg. And that was the only thing I saw in my food. So, I called them & drove back to get my order right.(They have language barrier) I always ask for extra lime(about 4 – 6 slices). Now, they charge me for the extra lime. Disappointed but I understand. Might as well pay for extra lime & enjoy my food. Their food is good but the taste changes on and off. Today, my lemongrass soup tastes nothing like what I usually get. And that is why I asked for additional extra limes. Please hire someone who can speak fluent english without misunderstanding…

Ordered the Curry Chicken(looks delicious) and the chicken was raw. I asked if I can order something else, they said they will charge me extra for the other order as they have a No Refund policy. They were willing to fix my order, but I’m a bit disgusted by the raw chicken and did not want the same order. I asked if they have a sign indicating«No Refund» or a policy showing somewhere in their establishment letting the customer know that there are no refunds. He dodge my question 4x regarding the No Refund until I asked«It’s only a Yes or No answer» and he said«No, we don’t have anything in our store letting the customer know there are no refunds». 10 mins. or so, he returned and said he spoke with his manager that I can now order something else of equal price of the chicken curry. I usually enjoy coming here as they make good food. This is my 1st bad experience with this place. Giving them 3 stars for the bad food and no refund issue. If this was my 1st visit, I would’ve given them 1 star. Hopefully next visit will be better and this is just an off day for them.

I’m really surprised at how many good reviews this place has. Maybe because I’m viet and have a little bit of a higher standard for Vietnamese food. But I did not enjoy the food here. I guess my first sign should have been the literal sign they have in the front that’s written in Tagalog(at least that’s what I think the language was. But it definitely was not Vietnamese). I ordered the bun(vermicelli) with beef and egg roll and my bf had one of the rice plates. First off, I have never seen beef in bun in the form of a patty. That was really strange to me. I think what they did was chop up the beef and mix in some other stuff to make it a square patty and then grill it. I was expecting just regular beef. The noodle was also really dry. And the egg roll was not good either. Idk what it was But it just tastes weird. And for my bfs plate, the only thing that was off was the rice. That too didn’t taste right(which is even more weird bc how can you make steamed rice taste weird?). Lastly, we order egg rolls for appetizers and that didn’t even come till the end of our meal. Overall I was really disappointed. The people were nice though and the was clean and nicely decorated. I think I’ll give this place one more chance and try their phở next time since it has good reviews.

Ever since I moved from long beach I haven’t found a decent phở place. Ginger phở and grill is an exception though! My only complaint is their broth, they add something else to it and you can tell, it’s just not the phở broth I’m use to. Anyways, their prices are good and portions big! I always call for pick up and get their house special.

HANDSDOWNTHEBESTPHO&SERVICE I have ever received from ANYVIETNAMESE establishment, ever. Okay. So, you may be thinking to yourself, «Hell nah, this Phở Spot is in National City. What the hell ever.» — STOP Just like the Tacos, Carne Asasa Fries & Nail Shops. National City now holds the best PHO Spot thus far! Let me tell you. I sit down. And I am immediately skeptical and expect shitty ass food. I’ve been to another Phở Spot on Sweetwater Road and that place is shitty. I usually drive out to East San Diego on El Cajon Blvd for Phở at Phở Hua or Phở Ca Dao. Sometimes, I’ll even drive out to Chula Vista and hit up that Awesome Phở spot on Broadway. Today, I was a lazy piece of shit and decided. Fuck it, why not. And it’s the best«fuck it» decision I have made all damn day. I’m immediately seated, brought water and a menu. I order 3 egg rolls, a bowl of Phở & some coffee. I literally busted out my phone, launched the Unilocal App to begin the process of checking in and BAM, egg rolls are already in front of me? WTF. I roll up my first egg roll and bite into it and then BAM, a bowl of soup… Seconds later my awesome iced coffee followed and everything is laid out nicely. Okay okay okay. Wait. I place an order, and have everything brought out to me in less than 4 minutes. Literally. The service here BLOWS my mind. So, of course I wait. I don’t want to start raving about the awesome service until I finish my food. 1) PHOBROTH Was SUPER on point. The noodles were cooked PERFECTLY! Holy shit. Generous with proportions and the prices are reasonable. 2) ICEDCOFFEE — spiked with crack. Straight up unlaced crack! I love it. I’m hyper. I mean shit, I can’t stop typing. I wonder what everyone around me is thinking as my fave is buried in my phone. Lmfao! I guess they have boba here as well. I see people walking in and out just for boba. Dude, if I wasn’t so full… I think I would hop on that boba train. This place is awesome. I will be back. And this is seriously my go to spot for Vietnamese anything and will not cheat on this place unless someone else tops it or it’s closed. IMINLOVEWITHTHEPHOBOWL.

This place is a pretty average phở joint. I go here sometimes cause it’s closer then the one I usually go to. Finding parking can suck sometimes. But this plaza is always crowded. Some reviewers complained about the service but I never really had a problem with it and I’ve been here a good 4 or 5 times. Theyre usually fast and when I need something I ask and I receive. Maybe cause I’m one of those customers who don’t like to be bothered too much with silly«is everything fine» convos while I’m eating. Those usually end up with an awkward nodding and mumble through a mouth full of food. Only odd moment I’ve had here was when they charged my bill wrong once. They charged it cheaper then it was supposed to be. I told the guy that I think the bill was wrong because it was too cheap. The guy first agreed and took my card and bill back but then came back and said that its actually right(I know it wasnt right). But hey I tried. I think maybe they didnt want the complications of fixing it since my card was already charged. It was only like 3 or 4 bucks cheaper. Oh & Their pork banh mi is pretty good.

I love going here because they are so quick with their service. I literally order my phở and it comes out in about 5 minutes of maybe even less. The broth isn’t too salty which I love and it’s never too crowded here which is great because I hate waiting lol. I’ve been coming here with a lot of my family and friends and we usually now come here when we crave some authentic Vietnamese food! Go here! You’ll love it!

One of my fav phở places. Awesome prices and costumer service is phenomenal! They are so fast at everything and they always come back to your table to ask if you need anything. One of my favorites on the menu is the vietnamese bbq pork sandwich!

Great food, good menu, nice interior, ok staff and a horrific parking lot. Drove by, saw the sign and had to stop. Enter a much nicer interior than 98%+ of the phở spots in SD. Look at a very respectable menu, I spot my favorite dish and had to get the bun bo hue and an iced coffee. Soup hits the table and looks impressive. Broth is delicious. Very pretty with everything swirling and perfect spice and a subtly sweet after taste from all the tiny scallions sliced razor thin. The treatment of the scallions is genius and I hope more places catch on to this technique. Generous portions of meat and pork blood. The ox they got the oxtail from had to be on steroids. I’ve never seen a cut so big in my life. Noodles are done right, herbs were fresh and got lemon due to the lime shortage this year. The coffee was good, but nothing to write about. I never believed in meditation before I came here. I’d recommend you meditate before driving in this parking lot and before you leave your table to get in your car. Probably in the top 3 worst parking lots I’ve witnessed in my life.
