Best. Phở. In. San. Diego. Period. I’ve been to plenty of phở restaurants all throughout San Diego and this is my favorite. Standard Vietnamese menu, just tastes better than other places. The staff is always super friendly, like they can’t wait for you to arrive. And if you become a regular(like me) I don’t even need to order anymore! The waitress remembers my favorites to a «T» and gets it right every time. Give it a shot, you won’t be sorry.

Been going to this place for a very long time, and it saddens me to have to deduct two stars because someone decided I don’t deserve fresh veggies with my egg rolls Hope this won’t happen again

Phở Mai Cali is the best pricing in National City. I work near by and I eat here once a week. I love their spring rolls, fried rolls, bahn mi’s, smoothies, and Bun. The place gets real packed during lunch and dinner so prepare to wait or do take out! The owner is super friendly and is always helpful. She is always smiling. I love phở mai cali and I no joke need to eat here at least once a week

This place is delicious, came for lunch and ordered a Banh Mi sandwich and a papaya salad. Both were delicious! Definitely making this one of my go to food joints. Can’t wait to try the phở!

The lady in the front(who is always there so I’m assuming she’s the owner) is super duper friendly :) my favorites are the BBQ Beef Bahn Mi and the Crispy Egg Rolls. They’re the only place that I’ve been to that puts a lot of veggies and a good amount of meat in the sandwich! Love coming here :)

Kind and decent service. Only gripe about the service was that I had to call the waitress over for a few things, but nothing to be irked about. The phõ was good. I got a #10 which was a combination of 3 different meats. Paid a little over $ 7. Worth it. *To use a debit or credit card, you need to have spent at least $ 10. Otherwise pay in cash.

One of the best Phở spots in San Diego! The portions are substantial, reasonable and authentic! Can’t get enough of this place!

Well I have had Phò several times. So let me begin with this. The front counter lady was very very nice, I mean extremely nice and always smiling when talking to her patrons. Now the Phò was at best good. The broth was a little clear for my taste. The herbs although somewhat fresh and still on the vine(that I have not experienced until today) was slightly wilted but still flavorful. The crisp rolls were ok. All in all, not the best but definitely not the worst. They still seem to bring a few patrons through the door so I would say it is worth the visit. Good eatin’ K

I come here frequently on my lunch break. The place is fairly small but it is not heard to get seating. I usually get the vegetarian spring rolls and have also tried the egg rolls. Both are very good. I have yet to try the phở, but I always see people eating it and it appears to be quite popular. As far as the drinks, I have tried the avocado shake with boba which is made from fresh avocado as well as the thai tea with boba. The thai tea is really good, but maybe a little too sweet. Overall, great place to grab some lunch and a good value for your money.

This phở place is right by my work and very convenient for me. I come here to eat when it’s cold weather and rainy. The owner is always nice to me. My faves are the veggies phở and chicken phở and their house fried rice special combo. The food is good and really fresh ingredients. customer service is okay. They gets really busy on the lunch hour. They have good rice plates as well and the sandwiches(Bbq pork is bomb!) my kids loves the avocado and mango smoothies. Overall, I recommend this place.

Decided to try this place out today and am glad to say we dont regret it! Crazy thing is this place has been here for 5 yrs now and we live down the street. We were always skeptical about trying new phở places we Usually stick to this one spot on el cajon blvd but now that we’ve tried it here we loved it and will be coming here more often. Small but had a Nice homey feel to it… but the only reason i won’t give this place a 5 is because of how mean/rude the main lady in the front(owner) can get she has an attitude that i’m not sure she’s fully aware of because she seems to be friendly and pleasant otherwise; so just be forewarned, i guess so you are not alarmed by it as we were. Food tasted great though and its location is very convenient so i still plan on coming back. until she gives me a reason not to.

Very Friendly, clean little place, but the food is very good, large portions and the servers are courthouse. I’ve been here several times and the food is always good. Highly recommended.

The $ 3.95 Beef Sandwich is delicious! Phở here isn’t so bad either. The service can be slow from time to time but aside from the food is good. I’ll be back to try more!

Tried Phở Mai Cali & Grill for only our 2nd time as the first time was shortly after they opened for business. On this 2nd visit of ours, we were just ordering BBQ pork Banh Mi sandwiches. They were pretty decent sized, plenty of meat, bread was fresh, reasonable time to prepare our food for pickup, & reasonably priced. Nothing great, nothing to really complain about food wise. The problem I have(which isn’t really a problem when you think about it) is I have other places I’d rather go for Phở Vietnamese Noodle Soup or Banh Mi sandwiches in the South Bay area. No real knock on Phở Mai, but while I wouldn’t say I wouldn’t eat hear again, they also wouldn’t be at the top of my list to dine here or order for take-out.

Pretty good phở here. But they could work on their service. The workers are very nice but unorganized. I noticed they kept getting people’s orders mixed up. I think it’s due to the fact that they just try to memorize people’s orders rather than writing it down then yell it to the kitchen… Anyways I took a star off because it took an eternity just for them to ask what we wanted to drink. She took gave us water when we finally ordered which was 15 mins later and no they were not busy. There was probably 3 parties including ours inside. I ordered rare steak and flank phở which wasn’t on the menu but you can certainly tell them what meats you want which was good. The broth was delicious. Wasn’t too salty or bland at all, it actually had a lot of flavor. Even as a leftover it was still pretty damn good which says a lot because I usually hate eating my phở leftovers. Their service could use a bit of work. Though it’s not the best phở I’ve tasted, I would still consider this place if I’m ever in the area.
