I’m really surprised this place has 4 stars. When I got my phở, the noodles were still stuck together. The broth wasn’t super hot, it was warm. The phở itself was okay. I’ve had better phở, especially i’m from Long Beach.

I come here because it’s the closet place in the ‘hood for some phở and banh mi. They’re fast. They’re tasty. Are they over the top amazing? No. But I will come here on rainy days. They must be doing something right because they’re the longest standing business in this building in the past 20 years. How can you deny that?

Obsessed ! It really great to have such a great phở restaurant so close to home. They are particularly fast at getting your orders out. The venue is small, but feels very spacey. The gentlemen that takes your orders during the week is very nice and respectful ! Perfect food for this weather(: I love also love how it shares a parking lot with my favorite taco shop !

Visited here again, this time for the phở. There’s small and large options, I ordered the special phở #1 in large, no cilantro. The portions of the noodles is fine. The toppings is a bit on the stingy side. However, each of the toppings are pretty solid in flavor and texture. The broth is also very flavorful but not overly seasoned with msg. walked out with the bill $ 10. It isn’t the best you can get in SD, but if you’re around the area, it’s a great option.

Customer service wasn’t really there. Too focus on tv our waiter. Took our order and didn’t really comeback except to collect money. Pricing for the food was a on the high side for small amount of phở noodles. Roughly $ 7 per bowl. Other phở house I had was $ 5ish for that side of food. Taste was average.

I had their seafood phở and spring roll. The spring roll is good, but the seafood phở used very cheap ingredients. The price is reasonable, $ 20, for 2 order of spring rolls and large seafood phở. The service is decent. The atomsphere is standard. The location is great very easy to locate.

Our go to phở place! Always great service and food. Great phở, as well as pad thai. I also really like their ‘meatless’ Vietnamese sandwich. I also like that they have several options for kids, my son loves the kids meatball phở.

Probably of the best phở in San Diego. I eat lots of Phở, and I’ll tell yah what, this place easily beats out half the places in SGV! The quality and quantity is awesome, the only thing that can make this the best, the best of the best, is to make the soup base slightly more denser(add an onion when cooking the soup, and slightly more star anise as well as slightly more oxtail).

Phở Nam Cali is one of my go to Phở joints near my house. Service is always quick and efficient and I’ve never had a so-so meal. I typically get a small bowl of Well Done Steak with Tripe, Fresh Spring Rolls, and sometimes Thai Iced Tea. I also like that their jalapenos are super hot that you feel the burn as it goes down(ergo the Thai Iced Tea). This place gets pretty busy towards the lunch period and you see a lot of sailors coming through. My only issue is that this place is smaller than typical phở places so sometimes it feels a little cramped that you have to awkwardly tip-toe yourself through the tables just to get out.

I wanted a banh mi and the closest Rachel tested and approved banh mi was Ginger phở and grill. But I knew that parking lot was probably a mess around lunch time and I only had a hour lunch. So I ended up here, before leaving my coworker told me «they have zero customer service skills but they got good egg rolls». On the note I was off. I called and placed my order to expedite the process, lady on the phone seemed nice. My thoughts… 1. The man w/the all the tattoos really didn’t have much customer service skills, but he wasn’t mean. He just didn’t smile or greet… or talk much at all. 2. It’s a small shop that shares a parking lot with a taco shop, but there’s always parking so thats good. 3. The sandwhich was good but not the best I’ve ever had. The bread and veggies were good but something about the meat didn’t have the flavor I’m used too. I’d probably stick to my usual places but I wouldn’t mind trying them again for phở.

Ordered take-out and it was so good ! Hangover cure for sure. However, it was the second time visiting and we weren’t sure about ordering from them because the first time we went it was just okay but thought we would just give it a another chance considering it’s so close to where we live, we also didn’t have any other option considering the state we were in and the time(near closing). We are so happy we decided to give them a second chance because it looks like we’ve found our phở place in San Diego. The broth was so good this time around, very comparable to what we are used to in the San Francisco Bay Area. Hopefully they can sustain their goodness when we try them for a third time. Oh and we ordered 2 small phở ga(chicken phở).

Just a simple Vietnamese restaurant they need to improve their menu like Asian fusion style. Overall fast service can’t complain.

I don’t know if it’s just busy that day but service was really really slow, called in an order to go, lady on the phone said it will be ready in 10 mins so i gave them 5 mins more then came, order is not yet ready waited additional 20 mins in the place. Place is too small i had to wait outside. And all i ordered is just sandwich. Food is okay soooo nope not for me! Never again!

I love Phở and this place is Amazing!!! They have The BEST filet mignon Phở in town. Meat is tender and the portion is great. Came here with coworkers and we all loved our food. I also recommend their Shrimp Phở… Simply DELICIOUS!!!

Dropped by while visiting a family member in town. Not too many choices on the menu but I think that makes it easier on me not being so indecisive. Got the veggie phở with tofu & my mom did also. It was really good, including the broth. The restaurant was clean & the staff was nice. Especially the young girl. Even if it was 90 degrees outside, phở hit the spot.

Since I was in the neighborhood I stopped by Phở Nam Cali just to check it out. The restaurant was clean on the outside with lots of available parking. I was greeted when I entered and asked if I was eating in or taking out. Inside the restaurant was also clean and there were several customers enjoying lunch. The dining area is small 12 –14 tables for four and the décor and color combinations were comforting. The menu is complete and full: 19 different Appetizers, 21 Phở Dishes, 7 Stir Fried Egg Noodles/Rice Noodle Dishes, 12 Rice Vermicelli-Bun Dishes, 23 Rice Plates, 6 Fried Rice Dishes, 4 Vegan Dishes, in addition to several sandwiches, Egg Noodle Soups, Kids Menu, Desserts, Smoothies with Boba and Desserts. I ordered the Crispy Egg Rolls to go. Four crispy rolls with pork, mushrooms, carrots, served with lettuce, fresh mint and a light fish sauce they were very tasty. The staff was friendly and welcoming the prices are very affordable(appetizers price range $ 4.95– $ 7.50, other dishes range between $ 6.75 and $ 12.99)and I can’t wait to try them.

I could have sworn there were only a handful of Phở places in National City. As you can tell, I was mistaken. I was in the mood for Bahn Mi and my navigator pointed out this particular location. We decided to try it and here we are. I ordered the Bahn Mi special #1, it’s not bad. I also ordered the spring roll, it looked like spam but it isn’t so I was a bit confused. I do believe that it was the pork spring roll, I personally would stick with the regular shrimp variety. We came in and there weren’t many people yet so we were served quickly. The girls orders the rare steak phở and they too weren’t disappointed. As I have visited more and more restaurants, it’s really hard to evaluate the food unless you have come at least a few times and have tried a variety of selection from their menu. I would come back again and update my review. Tata for now…
