Having breakfast with hubby, what do you know, their fish had human hairs tangled all over. Eww. The lady gave corned beef as replacement but by then, appetite is gone. Not gonna eat there any more!

I made a call at 9am this morning(Christmas Eve) for pickup tonight when I got off work so that it could be ready around 5pm. I get to the store and they said that I had not pre-ordered and that they were no longer taking orders. So I had to drive 20 minutes for nothing, and now I don’t know what to feed a family of over 20 at dinner tonight. Grill City mislead me by confirming my takeout reservation and then telling me that one never existed. I know that they are are busy place but whoever is managing should take better charge of calling customers back to tell them that the order is no longer available or to take better orders down on paper so that bad reviews like this one aren’t posted. At least I have different flavors of top Ramen for dinner tonight.

Service Sucks… I expected more I thought that Porky’s had terrible food but this one is worst. For the grilled pork liempo with rice $ 7.50? Seriously? the pork itself is only little pieces and you have to pay $ 1 extra for another entrée. Karen-Kare is overcooked, and the buko juice does not taste like buko juice more like water with ALOT of sugar. I regret coming here. And plus you have to ask for the bagoong. Kare-kare supposed to have bagoong. The cashier Nedy I guess her name is so rude plus she didn’t return my change. I gave her money which supposed to be I still have change but she put the total amount of money the same price of what she have billed me on the registered.

Yet another satisfied breakfast meal from here… This time I tried the fried fish(Jeprox) with Tosino. What a perfect combinationOh dont forget to ask for suka(vinegar), its a bit on the spicy side.

Went here this morning to buy breakfast for hubby. Around 9:30am there was no line at all. Customer service was good because the girl who took my order was polite and addressed my presence infront of her(they were preparing some items at the counter). She got my order, placed it on a banana leaf(which i think was neat), the serving looks like it’s good for two people(a lot!), she made sure everything was secure and the food’s not gonna spill. The food itself was great for hubby’s picky taste :-) it’s a good Filipino Bistek meal. Will come back and try some of the grilled food.

Guess who had some random craving for Filipino BBQ and we ended up coming to Grill City instead of our Goldilocks standard? My mister lol(maybe he’s pregnant??) For a quick bite of beautifully marinated BBQ, Grill City sure hits the spot! What’s even more awesome? You get soup with your combo order! I like soup(aka sabao) with my meals especially if its the tamarind/sour soup called Sinigang(my all-time fave!!) This is a no-fuss fast food Filipino BBQ place with other grilled items from seafood to other meats :-) There’s also Warm and cold desserts to choose from(I.e. bibingka, halo halo, etc) I hope you enjoy the food here as much as we do! Also, just in case your in Chula Vista there’s also a Grill City in the Seafood City there ;)

All of the grilled items are excellent. Meat on a stick chicken or pork the marinade is very good. The Laing(taro leaves in coconut milk w/ginger) and the Kare-Kare(oxtail stew) is well worth the try if you enjoy Filipino cousine. The fresh grated coconut & cantalope juice is refreshing on a hot day. Give it a shot

It’s located inside the seafood city grocery store. Food was under heat lamps ready to be devoured. That’s why I chose this place rather than the other places just next door. I was starving and had no time to wait. However, it wasn’t a great deal compared to the competition next door. Hey, my taste buds enjoyed it and might come back for my filipino food fix!
