You can smell the goodness of the pizza from the parking lot across the way!!! these guys move fast to get you a slice and it was a great piece of pie! had the mole with siracha that I added and it was Bomb little buddies!! Had the pepperoni as well and the crust is crunchy and overall a great piece of pizza !

New York style pizza in the hipster area of Highland Park? This place truly nails it and is among one of my favorite slices ever. I’m old fashioned so I just stick with good olé pepperoni. Everything on the pizza is well balanced and flavorful. The crust is nice and yeasty tasting. How can you argue with a dinner under ten bucks that is ready almost instantly? Plus, Donut Friend a few shops down is a great stop for dessert.

Great spot for those drunken hunger pangs. Its located super close to all the bars on York. The crust is thin so your slice heats up quickly. I love the vegan cheese option(don’t be afraid of vegan cheese — its softer than mozzarella but still tastes like cheese). For about $ 4/slice, I couldn’t complain. I also always find plenty of free street parking in the adjacent neighborhood.

Best pizza in TOWN! The«Mole» is savory with the perfect amount of spice, the«Pig and the Fig» is a perfect combo of sweet and salty… YUMMM!

I stumbled upon this place a couple nights ago after a few drinks from Highland Park Brewery and The York. I’m not crazy into pizza, well Italian food in general but that is about to change. I was intoxicated and hungry(go figure) and this place called my name. I ordered a slice of «Caramelized Onion«Pizza. I love I mean LOVE onions so instantly I ordered without thinking. IT was insanely good and sweet which worked out so good, I will be back soon. My boyfriend had the Sausage and pepperoni while friends had the Pesto, which they all raved about. FYI, They have sriracha, Town Pizza you are the bomb.

Went here on a recommendation from a friend and I am so glad I did… my friend recommended I try the Town Mole slice and it absolutely did not disappoint… pulled carnitas-type pork with mole sauce, incredible! I also had a slice of pesto pizza which was also incredible… had I been any hungrier, I would have ordered a 3rd slice… the downside is you pay more for a slice than you would other places, but seriously, take my money! It’s that good…

This is really great gourmet pizza. Thin crust done right, with spectacular sauce. A bit pricey, but worth it. I’m definitely looking forward to eating their pizza again. I have only done takeout, so not sure how the dine-in experience goes.

Hell yeah for really good NY slices in hipster park HP. This place is legit. It serves traditional thin crust New York but adds exotic toppings like pesto and Gorgonzola and all that fancy stuff to make it the best of both worlds. The employees are really nice and I like to stop in during the art walks — apparently they deliver to Glassell Park so I’m going to have to add them to my delivery lineup! This is a top-five pizza in all of LA. And I prefer it better to Eaglerock’s Casa Bianca which in my opinion has gone downhill and doesn’t even do slices. Village pizza, Vito’s pizza, king of New York pizza, joes and town are the best b my humble opinion. And currently the town has the best prices service and location for me!!!

I really enjoyed my mole slice, sweet and spicy yum. The pesto was also very good, but my fave was cheese! Really good thin crust pizza!

Stellar pizza. Their pepperoni and sausage is to die for. So tasty — excellent quality. Specialty pizzas are also delicious, mole pizza is fun & flavorful. Gluten free options that are actually really good! Small seating area though it looks like their working to expand that so stay tuned. A must visit. Keep serving up quality pizza Town and I’ll keep comin’ back!!! Pizza lover out.

Current score 0 – 3 I have ordered pizza for delivery for pick up and for delivery again. All three times they have gotten the order wrong. They always have put me on hold for ever… And that is if they even answer the phone at all. Why the fuck would I call you to be put on hold? Don’t answered the phone if you do not have time to talk to me. Whoever manages this pizza place needs to be fired. You already don’t answer the phone… Why piss me off more by putting me on hold. And then mess my order up too! two stars come from, they are a local pizza joint. And the pizza is good when the finally get your right… Every time they have made good on their fuck up but still WTF!

Pricing: $ 16 for 4 slices of pizza! A little pricey, but support your local scene and it’s worth it. The pizza: My husband got the cheese less pizza cause he’s lactose and he said it wasn’t as fresh as he would have wanted. I got the pesto slice and it was amazing only thing I could say is the crust was average so if you love pizza for the crust don’t go here! Customer service: I would have given them 4 stars but minus 1 star cause the lady with the brown hair and glasses was so dramatic about how not busy it even was. Plus they have several people that work there just standing around. My tip have those people actually work.

I was so excited to welcome you to the neighborhood, and I want to love you– I really do. I’ve tried many times but increasingly your customer service is awful. Some of your staff are too cool for school, no eye contact– barely want to acknowledge you make you feel as if you are inconveniencing them by ordering your pizza. If your pizza were stellar, I would(maybe) let it go but the combination of mediocre pizza, and rude staff is a bummer. I’m sure I’ll eventually be back as you seem to be the easiest thing to grab to-go on York– but I hope you will look at some of these reviews and see the issues with your staff and crust especially.

Great vegan options. Great crust. Thin crisp & chewy. Delicious tomato sauce. Perfect garlicky flavor. Will be back to work my way through their menu.

Only came here because it’s next to Donut friend and we wanted some food before our dessert. This is a Nice small shop. Quiet on a Friday afternoon. It was a really hot day and it was slightly cooler in here. The pizza was delicious. 3 slices came to be about $ 17. We ordered the meat, sausage, and zetta pesto. Would return.

It’s not often you find a place that has good customer service & quality pizza. Town Pizza is definity NOT one of those places. Sure, I’ll spend the extra money for good pizza but if it lacks the service to enforce their overpriced items then it’s not worth it. Common sense dictates that phone orders take precedence over walk ins. Most, if not all successfull food places have this rule; so much so they’ll have a separate take out area or ask you to just let them know when you walk up. Apparently, not at The Town. So we called in our order knowing it’s difficult to find parking & the line gets sometimes long. At first we thought we might have dialed the wrong number since it went straight to a voicemail greeting. After the 3rd attempt someone picked up & we were placed on hold. After about 10 minutes we hung up & called again. This time they were able to take our order. 35 minutes they say. 45 minutes later we get there & there’s 6 – 7 people in line. I bypass the line & head to the second open register. The cashier looks at me, then to the line & I politely tell her I’m picking up a phone order. She gives me a blank stare. Then looks at the next person in line & asks them to come forward. The first cashier tells me with attitude, «We have to help the people in line FIRST.» To which I reply, «So there’s no point in calling ahead of time with my order waiting on the oven?» Second cashier rolls her eyes & tells first cashier«I’ll just help her.» AND while my obliging pizza saviour decides to help me she’s having a conversation w/a friend(who’s standing to my right) about where she plans on having drinks afterwards — ummm, Hi we’re making a transaction here could you at least face my direction while I’m paying you money? their street parking is difficult. eating in is cramped. outside patio is a joke. their customer service is so bad they might as well serve their gourmet pizza out of a food truck. if you want quality pizza w/similar prices you’re better off at All’acqua in Atwater Village, Bottega Louie in DTLA, or Bollini’s. I am very disappointed w/this place.

Much need in this area. Small venue with many selections of different types of slices of pizza for $ 3 dollars each. At times, the pizza is pretty fabulous, it just matters when they are making it fresh determines how soggy the crust will end up. Last night around 8:30pm they didn’t have a great selection of single slices and the crust was terrible and soggy. :( Three stars for trying. ;-//

Pizza Pizza! I was in the area and stopped in here to check it out. I’d never heard of it before, none of my fellow Unilocalers had been here, so I was going in blind. Street/metered parking. It doesn’t look like much from the outside but I thought I heard of a saying out about a book and it’s cover… Haha! The seating is limited, with some stools by the window and a couple of tables. They do deliver. There’s a radius, like everyone else, but you need to go to their website to see if you’re within said radius. They do take phone orders, so you can call ahead. You can buy pizza by the slice as well as a pie. Town Pizza is vegan friendly, offering up several cheese less slice options. I had the Garlic, Tomato & Basil Pizza. The slice came to $ 4. It was AMAAAAAZING!!! Thin crust, with just the right amount of crispness and cheesiness. Yum! I gobbled it half way up before I was out the door! I WILL be back to try more flavors.

I’ve eaten at Town countless times now since it has opened. They are no longer open for lunch, which is sad because I’m always craving Pizza from morning to dinner and it’s always a great carbo load to have Town Pizza, Donut Friend, and Coffee from Café de Leche. I guess now I’m forced to be healthier. lol. They do deliver whole pizzas now though so at least you can have it in the comfort of your home. Pricey though but still pretty tasty and you don’t feel like crap afterwards like after eating from papa john’s, pizza hut, or dominoe’s. I like that you can get slices here so you can try different flavors in each visit. My favorite ones are the mole, the sausage, the pesto, the carmelized onion. When I was avoiding dairy and soy, I came here ALL the time because they have cheeseless pizzas as well as daiya vegan(soy free) cheese pizzas which are delicious btw. So yeah I still basically found a way to stuff my face with dietary restrictions. Thanks, Town!

I come here quite frequently. The first time it was heaven. The cheese was perfectly melted. Dough was light and chewy. Tastes like the stuff I make at home. I was their biggest fan. I gave them 5 stars for god sakes! Lately the pizza is overcooked. It’s «par-baked» to fully cooked then when you re-heat it, it’s really overcooked. Cheese is too brown. The texture of the dough is tough. Not sure what happened or what changed but consistently, it’s not the same anymore. Now it’s just a regular ol’ slice of pizza I can get anywhere. The nuances that used to make this pizza great are long gone. Sad. It’s ok if you’re walking by and want something quick and cheap. For consistently delicious pizza try Mama’s in South Pasadena.
