Sara was awesome! I badly needed a haircut and she saved my hair! Can’t beat the prices here!

I’ve read the negative reviews and I would hate for you to not give this place(or at least MY hairstylist) a chance because of them. Although I do not go to the manager, I’ve only seen and heard good things about her. My stylist(Garland), however, is beyond wonderful. I’ve been going to her for more than half my life. Garland and I moved here together from Louisiana, and the only time she wasn’t the one to touch my hair was when she moved away for a while after Hurricane Katrina. You are also going to get WAY more than what you pay for with her because Ulta sets the price, not the stylist. She is versatile and can work with many(if not all) hair textures. I have semi-course hair that I get relaxed. She typically does a wash, trim, and straighten for me because I really just want her to keep my hair healthy.(Back in the day she would hook me up with my highlights and/or an updo or something for my many high school dances. Haha) She’ll recommend products, and will do her best to accommodate what you’re looking for.(It’s not too hard if you actually know what you’re looking for though) So, if you’re looking for someone who knows what she’s doing, set an appointment with Garland.

As much as I love giving ULTA all of my money, I regret giving them a chance to handle my hair. A couple months ago I went in for a haircut and the hairstylist Cynthia I believe, was really nice and was advising me on color. She finally convinced me and happy with my haircut I decided to come in the next week. When she was advising me the week before we only talked about balayage/omber looks and so the next time when I came in to dye it, I brought in pictures of what I wanted it to look like and she agreed. My appointment was at 3:30pm I believe and she didn’t get done till around 6:30 I believe when the store was closed. I didn’t mind the time however I did feel the end was rushed since everyone was leaving and locking down. I didn’t really get a chance to look at my hair it was more like done and go. When I got home I realized that my hair had plain highlights. It wasn’t what I paid for or SHOWEDHER! However, it wasn’t horrible so I thought id wait and see if I could get used to it. I didn’t. When I went back to get it fixed they wanted to charge me all over again, when even the hairstylist agreed that my hair looked nothing like the pictures. It’s only fair that if you know you made a mistake you make the customer happy. Sadly this is why ULTA won’t ever be touching my hair again.

The Salon at Ulta is great! Ulta itself, ehhh. it’s okay but could have a lot more happier employees. Damari took care of my mani which needed some serious help, she was sweet, funny and had a pleasant demeanor. She was gentle and took her time and made it the best experience I’ve had at a salon. Also I got a #SamoanSand color on my nails very subtle, elegant, and pretty. Thank you.
