I’ve been a fan and customer of Shane’s since the mid 1970s right up until now. They had the best people and the best deals, and they would even show you how to get a lot for your money… (i.e. a small flaw in a diamond where it can’t be seen, etc). Always spent as much time with you as you wanted, even when the store is crowded! I bought all kinds of small to moderate gifts throughout college and early adult life, and even ended up buying my wife’s engagement ring there! Highly, highly recommended… with DECADES of experience there!

The customer service I received from Wendy made me feel welcomed and remembered. I felt as though I was supporting a family shop, rather than a huge, sterile chain or conglomerate, which is important to me.
They provided me with a beautiful gift box and wrapping for the silver bangle I chose as a gift; these small touches make all the difference between a four and five-​star rating.
The bangle itself is classically beautiful and represents the style of jewelry which I found difficult to find in my (admittedly small-​ranged) search through Westwood. I was relieved when we walked into Shane’s and found *precisely* the style we were looking for!
I’ll definitely be returning for my future jewelry purchases.

I have bought a couple things from Shanes in the past, as well as had jewelry sized/​repaired. This time I brought my grandma’s ring to be reset. I had an initial consultation with Ted which was very comprehensive — we spent a lot of time discussing what I wanted and making sure they understood exactly what I was looking for. Two weeks later they had computer drawings of the custom design, at which point I left the stone with them to be set. Ted was very accommodating and let me see/​take pictures of the stone before leaving it, as well as weighing it for me so I could see. I couldn’t WAIT until my ring was ready.
There was one blip when the ring was made not exactly to my specifications, but it was fixed quickly and I am pleased with the results. I can only complain that I had to wait two months to get my finished ring, but I am so happy with it now that it almost doesn’t matter. I paid a very reasonable price for excellent craftsmanship. I still wish they could’ve made my ring more low profile, but honestly it doesn’t matter all that much, and I say that being an extremely picky person when it comes to jewelry. I am happy every time I look at my ring.

The lady that I spoke with earlier today at Shanes was very knowledgeable, attentive, and helpful. She was able to help me find the perfect replacement chain for one of my necklaces within a couple minutes and even offered to clean the pendant at no cost.

I bought my engagement ring here 5 months ago — not only was the staff helpful with the design, they were very reassuring that the ring they helped me chose would delight my wife, and they were right… not only that, it is the most beautiful engagement band i have ever seen. and her FRIENDS LOVE IT

Oh, how I love Shane’s. I don’t go to any other jewelry store. They are honest and have beautiful, unique choices. I’ve been shopping here for 20 years.
The customer service is great and you’ll get great recommendations on what’s good to buy for you. Wendy is terrific, patient, and extremely knowledgeable. But, so is everyone there.
It’s pretty hard to find parking in Westwood these days, so take public transportation if you can. The village is a shadow of a shadow of its former self, but Shane’s isn’t.
Shane’s is always worth the trip. If you’re looking for quality jewelry at a decent price, you don’t need to go downtown. Visit Shane’s first.

I had appraisals done here, my insurance wont accept them because they are so badly written. I expected more and got charged a lot of $$ for the appraisals and now I have to go waste the time and effort and $$ to get them done again. Buyer beware!

My husband and I have been customers of Shanes Jewelry for 10 years. In this time, we have purchased an engagement ring, wedding bands, upgraded diamonds, among other wonderful pieces.
Ted has provided us with several appraisals, which are always fair and well thought out. His professionalism is unmatched. Wendy is a doll, also knowledgable and always willing to offer suggestions and advice.
We have moved away from the area since first establishing a relationship with Shanes Jewelry, but still drive the added distance to return and purchase new items. This is the only jeweler we trust, and is definately worth the trip!
I encourage anyone looking for an HONEST, FAIR, and FRIENDLY jeweler to visit Shanes in Westwood. You will NOT be disappointed.

My wife and I have be coming to Shanes Jewelry since the mid 70’s. Wendy has been wonderful in showing us some unique pieces of jewelry. Of course, my wife’s birthday is coming up next month, so I brought her to shop for her new «bling bling.»
Mission accomplished… she picked out a pair of diamond, pink amethyst, rose gold earrings. We just love this establishment!

I have enjoyed a long-​standing relationship with Shanes spanning multiple decades. They have redesigned custom settings for several large pieces, specifically a 3-​strand pearl necklace, diamond eternity band in rose gold and a diamond-​saphhire ring with matching earrings. Besides performing very fine finished work, I appreciate their expert consultative approach in the buying process. I am confident in sending my friends and family to Shanes for a sound purchase.

$ 10 for the speedy and perfect re-​sizing of my Citizen Nighthawk watchband? Totally worth it.

Got my engagement ring here and had a wonderful experience, the owner and his staff are all very friendly… They make sure you love your jewelry and are satisfied… they clean up your ring whenever you stop by for free :)

I have been going to Shane’s Jewelry since I could remember. I’ve bought and received everything from communion crosses to friendship necklaces to charm bracelets all the way up to my engagement ring! Obviously I am a big fan of the shop, which is always well stocked with everything you may need from small token gifts, all the way up to expensive diamonds, but it doesn’t stop there, they also always have the best service, I really can’t recommend Shane’s enough!

I love this store and I don’t even work here. Shane’s is far and away has best jewelry in LA. They are well worth the trip (and the parking hassle) to Westwood. Their designs are unique and beautiful, have excellent customer service, and are the most honest jewelers in the city. The prices are the best in the city and the customer service is wonderful. No one needs to harass you because they have some of the most beautiful and original designs in LA. I have been shopping there for 13 years and won’t go anywhere else.

My now-​husband bought my engagement ring here and Wendy was amazing! She helped him design a beautiful sapphire and diamond ring. It was the wrong size, so we went back in together and they fixed it perfectly. We loved the service and the prices so much that we bought our wedding bands here as well.

Watch repair review only:
Recruiting is coming up so I need to look good, the watch is a very important touch. My old watch was broken but i saw the reviews for Shane and I have to agree. The service was amazing, the owner quickly repaired my watch in under 5 minutes. I also got another watch band shortened.
The price was very reasonable. Under 20 total for repair of 2 watches.

Piggybacking what everyone else has already said, I always want to give credit where credit is due. First and foremost the service is what keeps me coming back here. They actually care about their customers by asking about their personal lives and they form relationships which create repeat customers and referrals. The pricing is more than fair and are willing to work with your budget. There is no over-​zealous sales approach and always conscious of your individual needs first. I wish more people did business this way and recommend them in the highest regard for any of your jewelry needs.

I’ve been going to Shanes since I was a little girl. They are honest people who will make just about anything you can think of. Wendy and Stan are the owners who are normally in the store. They will spend as much time as you need to make sure you’re happy and confident with your purchase. Their prices are very reasonable. Five stars really just goes for their honesty and friendliness. Their selection is a bit small but ask them to show you books of rings they can make or bring in your own picture of a ring and they’ll recreate it for you.
