I’m putting a 5 star here, not because it’s the best Chinese food in town but because they have been in this hood before hlp was all hyped up with hipsters and they keep it real with their prices. By the way the best chicken wings in town!

Freaking disgusting food. The beef smelled terrible. Saw a small cockroach when I picked up my food. How are they still in business… sigh

I’ve only had their fried chicken and dayum, I was blown away! I love fried chicken and I’d have to say these were probably my fave. The flavors are spot on and the little bit of heat was just the right amount in my book. I want to come back and try their other items too. I hope the rest won’t disappoint.

This review is only for the fried chicken(as I haven’t tried other foods there). But man oh man, that fried chicken is delicious! Crispy and spicy(not too spicy) with a slight sweetness to cut the spice. Sticky icky chicken! Yum! And the price makes it even better. You can order a large size of fried chicken for like $ 7+ and they pile it on, approximately 20+ wings. Great tasting chicken & great value! Haven’t tried the other dishes, but they have 2 entrée combos for like $ 4… Cash only spot.

Bomb fried chicken. They give a lot the $ 30 medium tray is good and the $ 60 large tray is gigantoid. Get it catered and be the Pot Luck Hero. Parking is tough in the little plaza.

LOVELOVELOVE the crack chicken! Big fan. WARNING: you can’t just eat one, or two or three… lol — They are also very generous with their servings

Great Chinese food. The sodium was low and that’s what I liked about it. I hate drinking water after I eat. CASHONLY. That was the only negative no ATM in the store either. food was great though I recommend it.

This review is only for the salt and pepper wings. I’ve never tried anything else at OK Chinese Food, so I can’t really comment. It looks like standard mall-type Americanized Chinese food. But the Wings! That’s another story. The wings are crispy and have a sturdy coating. There is a noticeable scent of five-spice to them, so keep that in mind if you are looking for plainer wings. They are sometimes a little bit overdone, possibly from multiple times in the fryer. I don’t care. They scratch that salty peppery MSG chicken wing itch. Very reasonably priced. They travel pretty well too. I’d really like to leave a tip but there is no tip jar. Maybe the owner doesn’t want to have one? But just to let you know, if anyone from the restaurant is reading this, this is one of the few places where I would totally leave a tip if I could.

Sooooo good. Fresh, hot and crunchy. It’s got a little bit of salty, a little sweet and maybe a little bit of Chinese 5 spice. So good so I had to buy 2 large boxes for the family.

The fried chicken gets 5 stars! Every time we bring this chicken to parties, people go bonkers! The large order is over flowing in a large Chinese take-out container box and feeds about 10 – 15 people if they don’t hoard it all on their plates! Otherwise, 5 chicken fried eaters! It is so crispy and with a slight taste of 5 spice that’s barely there but leaves a nice taste. Cash only so that’s a bummer. The other food is good but we come here for the fried chicken !

I really don’t know what it is about these wings. They are crack wings, beware! They’ll make you do crazy things, like wait in LA traffic just to get to them, which is about 20 minutes the other way from your apartment. So cheap! So delicious!

Limited seating… parking lot is small. Fresh stemmed veggies!!! The beef broccoli was very good. Better than Panda Express they offer fried chicken and Chinese cookies. You can order party trays medium or large trays.

The parking sucks, service definitely leaves something to be desired, and the space feels dingy, but I’ve fallen hopelessly victim to the fried chicken. After moving back home I needed to find a nearby place to satisfy my affinity for Chinese-style salt & pepper chicken, and Unilocal led me to OK. I thought the name was a strange choice for a food establishment, but honestly, it’s a perfectly appropriate title for this place. Everything I’ve tried has been wildly [less than] mediocre and I’ve never purchased anything besides the fried chicken. Still, the fried chicken is good, and the enormous serving size makes it a good bargain. They give you so much that it piles up high out of the box and it’s so appreciated. It’s worth putting up with the crappy service and ambiance. Prices are cheap for how much you get, but the place is cash only!

Hidden in a tiny plaza that is surrounded by Yogurt Haven, a laundromat, and others, OK Chinese food has been serving pepper fried chicken and other Chinese food in Eagle Rock since the 90’s. As a local customer, I have seen it situating within the Super A plaza before moving a few blocks down to its current location. They have Chinese food in fast food fashion with a menu such as chicken broccoli and orange chicken. However, the pepper fried chicken exceeds all that due to its flavor and crispy texture, a popular favorite. In addition, the chicken wings and legs come in an overwhelming amount, filling the large box to the top for only $ 7! By the way, I normally get a large party tray of these babies for $ 30 whenever I go to family gatherings, potlucks, parties, etc. They are a great hit for everyone! Service is a hit or miss here so it depends whenever you come here to get your food. Furthermore, parking is difficult since the plaza is small, so be prepared for that. Overall, OK Chinese Food is not just OK. It is much more than that. CASHONLY!

Solid fast Chinese food. Plenty of parking and they are open most holidays. The orange chicken is pretty good, the chow mein is standard and so is the fried rice. They have pepper fried chicken which is so good. Most of their dishes are decent. Two Item Combo is under $ 5 and most individual dish orders are $ 6 for a large container and a buck or so less for a small container. Cash Only! The service is blah, sometimes it seems they have attitude but I guess they are stuck behind that counter all day, who wouldn’t have attitude right. Anyway, try the place out, seating is limited. About two to three tables. Better fast Chinese food then most places around the area.

I heard through the grapevine that Ok Chinese may have OK food, but it’s their chicken wings that are to die for. So when I was invited to my friend’s Oscar party, I decided to up my game and get some chicken wings for the party people. For just $ 30, you get a mountain of chicken wings… This was the size medium, and it fed over 10 people with a load of leftover wings. You can’t really beat the price. The chicken itself was delicious, albeit there were some pieces that made me question the origins — but hey, why ask why? Very tasty wings indeed and for such an affordable price I would come here again. Note: It’s cash only so have that in hand because you don’t want to hunt for an ATM the way I did. Parking can be a problem, and the service isn’t very good. But I wouldn’t eat in anyway.

Hands down, this place has THE best chicken wings in socal. YES. I reallyyyyy wished I lived closer to this place, but maybe for my health, it’s best that I don’t. I think what makes this place so good is the batter they use. It’s so crispy, and they use a lot of salt and pepper seasoning. Mmm… and the best part is that they are SOGENEROUS with the portions. I ordered a medium, and it cost $ 3.98. It was a decent sized chinese take out box and they kept adding more and more and more. They don’t even bother to close the lid, and they just put it in a plastic bag. A party tray of those delicious goodies costs $ 30. Everything else in this joint looks disgusting. But their chicken wings! OHMYGOD. Their chicken wings. P. S.: They really need to rename this restaurant… their chicken wings are much more than just okay.

Love this place because it is local, cheap, fast, and always ready to take our order. The main reasons I go here is because they have the best pepper chicken. This is the only thing I order. This is my son’s favorite spot when it comes to their chicken. It is very delicious and tasty. I always order a large and they are very generous on their portions, which is a plus in my book. This place is popular when it comes to parties because I always order their medium party tray. Prices are reasonable. They do cater other items but I mainly come here for their chicken. My family and friends love it at my parties. Overall, go for the pepper chicken… It is a must-try!!! You will not be disappointed.
