Great food! Employees are great. Anything you have here is great. Turons are my favorite. Very clean and fast service.

Golden Ribbon is the best. I’ve ordered dozens of turon(sweet, crunchy, fried banana dessert that looks like an egg roll) from here a couple of times for my BFF’s family parties and each time have had nothing to complain about. The people working there are nice and the turon is always delicious :)

This place is awesome and inexpensive. We got this dessert with coconut filling(like a much lighter sweet German chocolate frosting) in a Hawaiian sweet roll. We got macaroons, and a crumbly marizipan like candy. And lastly we got these small cookies that were more crumbly gland airy than any wedding cake cookie I’ve had. I loved my overall experience as the woman who assisted us was very hospitable and took the time to explain what each of her tasty sweet was. The treats were clearly homemade which made them the best of their kind. The even better part is it is inexpensive!

Such nice people that run this shop! Like how everything is made to order rather than sitting in a food case. Ordered $ 5 palabok. Thick tasty sauce over warm rice noodles, sliced boiled egg and shrimp. Simple and satisfying. While I was there the phone was ringing crazy. Lots of to go orders. People came in ordering tapsilog and empanadas to go. Another lady ordered spaghetti. Since each item is made to order, I expect the phone calls were lunch orders from people who wanted their food ready and packed when they arrived. Small interior with a few tables. Easy parking. They offer catering trays.

I would go here every other day when I was pregnant because I was craving Filipino food all the time. This place never failed to disappoint. I always ordered the empanadas. The spaghetti is pretty good too. I’m thinking about having them cater my children’s 3rd bday party. Seems fitting

Delicious food and wonderful service! I love the ladies that work here, they make me feel at home. This isn’t a fancy place, better for take out or a quick bite. Love their lumpia, pancit and pan de sal. I pick up a fresh bag of pan de sal for dinner when we have guests. Their prices are reasonable but the parking lot can be a nightmare.

Ran into this place looking for Filipino breakfast. Food is comparable to other Filipino fastfood but their service is excellent.

Stumbled upon this bakery/restaurant while waiting for my car to get serviced. Well sometimes I see pictures on Unilocal and walk into certain restaurants pretending I can piece meal my own dish and actually order it. I really wanted a fried egg, because it seemed like everything else on the menu, ended with the word«silog»(fried egg) on the menu. So I ordered the lechon kawali silog, a non-menu item. The three people that helped me, said yes, no, and laughed and I had no idea what happened, but despite their friendliness, I got confused. I eventually got the lechon kawali without the egg and it hit the spot. The short story, this isn’t anything fancy, more like family run down place but the service is great, the food is good and very well priced.

Simple yet satisfying. I actually came in here by accident because I planned on going to Red Ribbon Bakery instead. Whoops! I was hesitant to come in because the place looked cheap, but hey. I’ve had really great experiences at mom and pop hole in the wall type joints before so why not try this one? Shame on me for temporarily judging a book by its cover. I only was in the mood for some pancit palabok because I seldom have filipino food and this is one of my recent faves. I can definitely say that I was a fan. It tasted like it was prepared by my grandma. You know. that homecooking style taste that we all miss and love. I know it was cooked with care because I was the only customer here at the time, and so they didn’t have all of the ingredients premade and waiting to be mixed. The owner made it from scratch and did so in a timely manner. I enjoyed the texture of the noodles, just the right amount of flavor and what I believe were chicharron pieces. I liked how the sauce was evenly spread and not over-powering. Much better than the palabok at Jollibee. I’ll definitely be back.

Love this mini bakery. Their baked goods are yummy. Love their baked macaroni! Try their pandesal(bread/rolls). This place has been around for a long time. That says a lot :) Oooh and their pansit(noodles — like chow mein) is good too!

Fresh, Fast and CHEAP! Gotta holler at my Peoples! When I am craving some good home made filipino pastries, I go here. For first timers, I suggest the following: Turon(Imagine an egg roll, filled with a plantain, deep fried in a sweet glaze!) Ensaymada Sweet bread with sugar and butter!(Only thig missing is bacon!) Pan De Sal(Best served toasted, with butter …) They have a great variety to choose from! Flan to Beef soup! You need to try it out! Everything is made fresh daily, and the people remind me of the vendors in the Philippines! On a side note, anytime I’ve taken a date to this place to let them experience my culture(As I love latin women) They tell me that it taste very similar to their stuff(whatever that means) But typically, they enjoy it very much and actually have come back without me lol! Anyways, before I get side tracked, this place is great! plus, it cheap! Cheers!

A good deal of restaurants fail within a year… when I signed the lease on my very first apartment over a decade ago, this bakery was one of my favorite places to go in the neighborhood for interesting food and sweets. It’s still here(which says a lot) and it’s still delicious. I stick to sweets and the ones I like the very best are called«Food for the gods» It is a filipino baked cookie bar not dissimilar to a blondie. It’s chewy, sweet, and ohhhhh so buttery. I can eat half a dozen of them in one sitting(this is not healthy at all but it is extremely delicious and comfort food at it’s best) My other favorite is the baked buns filled with Ube, a sweet purple mash of taro root(also known as purple yam). And they have pretty decent little coconut macarons as well. I’ve never tried any of the savory tidbits but I aspire to one of these days ;)

Like other reviewers have said, complete hole in the wall type of place. It’s a small Filipino bakery that also happens to serve some food. It’s better to get take out here as there isn’t much seating. I ordered tapsilog and a sarsi and it was good. Not exemplary but good and I was full and happy when I left. They also have yummy siopao(baked and steamed) and pan de sal. They have a minimum $ in order to use credit card. it was either $ 10 or $ 15(sorry I can’t remember!).

I’m a big supporter of Mom and Pop’s store especially in small community. This Hole in the wall bakery, pastry shop, Filipino snack shop is a little gem along Colorado Blvd. The owners are really friendly, the pastries are pretty yummy, the«siopao» or Chinese buns are good! My brother and I come here often after discovering their chicken rice soup. This shop is not one that really sells a lot of stuff, it’s a small hole in the wall that caters to those adventurous taste buds! Me like :)

Total hole in the wall Filipino place. Don’t let anyone else tell you otherwise. However, don’t let anyone else keep you from going here either. Nothing in their menu is over $ 7(unless you’re asking for catering, which in this case, nothing is over $ 20). Chicken and beef mami for $ 4, palabok for $ 5. Pretty small portions but still warm, comforting and good. While I wouldn’t say it’s Filipino food at its finest, it’s definitely Filipino food at its simplest– like the kind you get, maybe not at your Mom’s, but maybe a close Aunt or Auntie that you’re not really related to. Do pop in for their pan de sal because they are exactly how I remember having them growing up back in the Philippines– soft, hot and freshly baked. Buy the Filipino processed cheese in the coolers and have yourself a typical Filipino breakfast on the go. Trust me, it’s an experience worth taking. Don’t pass up on their $ 2 siopao either. It’s usually pretty hard for me to find chicken asado(bbq-ed chicken) siopao(the Filipino version of the Chinese bao) so I find myself here stocking up. They will offer to heat it up for you, if you want to eat it on the go. So, while you can go to the Goldilocks, Red Ribbon, Jollibees and Chowkings(and I’m not saying they’re bad~), do give this hole in the wall a chance because it is offering the simplest Filipino comfort food without needing a bigger price tag or shiny counter space.

It’s true, the pan de sal is really good. I brought a bag of them in(fresh baked) to work where we had some smoked BBQ brisket from Salt Lick in TX to join it with. The bread is soft, a beautiful yellow color on the inside, and slightly sweet. It reminds me a bit of Hawaiian bread. I also tried their chicken empanadas which are also tasty. There’s a little too much dough — I think they could maybe roll it a little thinner so that you could get a little more of the chicken filling taste, but once you do get to the chicken filling, it’s pretty tasty. Again, it’s a little sweet. This seems to be a theme. I tried the spaghetti tonight — filipino style spaghetti. It’s, again, sweet, and it has quite a bit of ground beef and some sliced pieces of hot dog on it. I think it’s a hot dog or it’s some kind of mild sausage. It’s pretty good — I’m a spaghetti freak though, so I’m always fascinated by how different people make it. There isn’t a strong tomato flavor, the dominant flavor is the sweetness and the beef. I love the Toron — which looks like little lumpia that are filled with banana and jackfruit, and drizzled with carmelized sugar. 3 for $ 1. REALLY good. I saw they have some yummy looking flan in the fridge area as well. I gotta come back for that, and come back to try more of the filipino food. I love Mom & Pop type shops where you know they’re serving up recipes that their family probably tout them for. The woman who owns the shop is really sweet and so friendly. I love to support my neighborhood businesses and this is one that I’m going to be exploring further.
