Their sign says they’re open Unilocal says they’re open their drive-through says they’re closed! I’m Beyond frustrated and think that someone needs to get their act together because this is bad for business.

I got the barrel pepper chicken and I was pretty disappointed. However, I generally believe that popeyes chicken is one of the better chains, and their recipe beats KFC and the other variant. I wish Los Angeles had Brown’s chicken. I really miss that place. Tip: Stay with the fried chicken and avoid any of the strips or other sides and you’ll be fine

I love Popeye’s! This location is very quick, tastey, friendly and enjoyable. I love to get the spicey chicken tenders and cajun fries. Bomb! Sit in and enjoy music from New Orleans :) But dont forget your shades… This might be just me — I’m sure others could care less but, I wish there were sun shades on those windows. I go during lunch and OMG! When I dine in, I wear my sun glasses hahah! The sun is so bright and it hurts my eyes when I look out those windows. Maybe some tinting would help? Am I crazy? My coworkers and I think the sun light reflects off that white building accross the street. Doesn’t stop me from going though! Just saying.

The guy cooking in the back been working at this place for over 20 years. Everything is fresh and made to order. Love the tenders and red beans and rice. Biscuits with honey is the cherry. No matter what you get its all good. Restaurant is clean and serive is prompt. Prices are cheap and u can get combo under 10 bucks. Parking is usually good. Popeyesover KFC all day!

Dear Popeyes, Thank you for being our saving grace whenever a new restaurant we try is bad. You will forever be a consistently delicious and unhealthy option. I love you. Love, Anna P. S. Bring back Mardi Gras Cheesecake

This place is always a treat since the orders come out pretty quick and the staff is usually nice. Grab some chicken or popcorn shrimp for yourself or a bonafide box if you need sonething bigger. No matter what, you have to get their fries. People say it’s all about the biscuits but its the fries that really matter at this chain. Their recipe is great and a large is perfect to munch on in restaurant or out with friends.

It is just like every other Popeye’s. If you like Popeye’s you’ll like this spot. I went to this place on Wednesday for lunch and it was crowded, so I think this spot gets busy for lunch so plan ahead, or not lol.

Didn’t like the shrimp. Its too small coated with too much breading! Same as the fish. The mild chicken doesn’t have any spice at all!

Size of chicken are smaller and like someone had taken a portion before frying it. Ive been buying our chicken here for bout 4yrs now since we moved near eaglerock. We occasionally buy chicken if we crave for one but then weve noticed lately their chicken are getting smaller, not cook well and dont taste as its fresh anymor. In short yuck! If u want good taste popeyes the one in burbank blvd and san fernando are better taste fresh and cook really well.

This Popeye’s was GOINGOFF at around 9 pm on a weeknight. What’s the deal? Biscuits are excellent. Don’t forget to try the red beans and rice — they probably aren’t technically vegetarian, but there are no chunks of meat, so they are vegetarian enough for me. Soooo good. The fries sucked though, skip those. Excellent service.

I had chicken tenders, with fries, a biscuit, and a coke. The place looked busy and the line was long. It stretched to the door. I thought the service was fast and that the employees were friendly. I got my fried chicken soon and they got my order right. The line held up my entire meal there. It was busy. They have good prices here and the food is good. I’ll be back soon.

2015 Unilocal100CHALLENGE — 007⁄100 Some friends suggested Popeye’s for dinner recently and I wasn’t very enthused. Haven’t eaten here for years. We got the 12pc family meal that comes with two large sides. We got mild tenders and it was surprisingly very good. Crispy on the outside, tender on the inside, not greasy at all. The mashed potatoes were OK, the gravy had some garlic in it which was a nice kick. And the Macaroni and cheese was very cheesy and good. We all got their cinnamon apple pies for dessert and those were horrible. Their prices are a little steep in my opinion. But overall, I was happy that we tried Popeye’s again, I probably won’t wait years to come back.

When you’re tired of KFC, and Chick Fil-A/Roscoe’s/Church’s Chicken are too far. Popeye’s is the place to go when you want to get that fried chicken fix taken care of. Located off the 2 fwy it’s a quick left turn coming down the colorado blvd exit. I usually go big when I come here and get the family meals. They definitely have more options in their sides than other places. Restaurant itself has been redone, but it’s the food that matters. You can also see that they fry things to order and they’re not just hanging out in the racks like at KFC. Service can be slow for this reason, and because they have 1 person working the front.

My fiancé had been bugging me for such a long time to try Popeyes Chicken so I finally gave in. I was super excited to get home and have some«great chicken» I opened the box and took out a breast, bit into it and it was pretty good up until I saw the hair. I’m very disappointed.

Great job on the new look, inside and out. On Tuesdays, when place gets hella packed, ladies working the counter do their best. They might not have a smile on their faces but it’s understandable. They’re trying to feed a hungry frenzy but for the most part, good service. The cook man in the back be Doin Work! As for the chicken, same great consistent taste every time I’m there. Lucky to have a Popeyes close by cuz KFC ain’t the bizness.

I don’t frequent Popeyes, but occasionally I go if I’m craving greasy fried chicken :). The best deal is their Tuesday special — 2 pieces(one thigh and one drumstick) for $ 1.29. It’s hard to beat that! This location is right off the 134 freeway and very close to Eagle Rock mall. But the parking is often difficult to find and maneuver.

I know I shouldn’t expect much from a Popeye’s– and I rarely rate fast food chains just because it IS fast food, but this Popeye’s sucks! And everyone deserves to know it! From the terrible parking to rude workerS to stale food and dirty tables, this Popeye’s is disgusting. Do yourself a favor and STAYAWAY!

I love Popeye’s. Now here is why that is remarkable: I almost never eat fast food. I rarely think to patronize chains. And chicken isn’t even close to my favorite meat. I’ll take pork or seafood any day(or lamb, or goat, or, hey, frog or snails or pretty much anything else). I do like chicken when it’s fried, though, and Popeye’s always fries it right, a perfectly crisp shell of spicy breading that stays on the skin and leaves the meat all hot, slippery, and tender. Their biscuits need no adornment, being a trove of salt and butter already.(Sometimes I put honey on them anyway, but that’s just naughty for the sake of naughty.) Plus, any side you order will be great(their coleslaw’s pretty much the only coleslaw I’ll eat). I wish they had family meal deals sized for 2 or 3 people — not just 4 and up. It’s my go-to pickup for my current household of 3…
