I have been going to Leala for many years and she is as good as it gets when it comes to both cut and color. In fact, I told her the last time I was in that she does her job TOO well because both the cut and the color grow out so beautifully that people continue to give me compliments on my hair months after I get it cut. And so she ends up saving me money because I don’t need to go in very often because my hair continues to look great long after I see Leala! The studio where she cuts hair is in a great location in Silverlake, with it’s own parking lot which is very convenient. I also like how it’s more low key than a traditional salon, there isn’t someone who comes and washes you hair (and then you have to tip them) there isn’t a receptionist, there are just stylists there with their own clients. So it’s very low key and because of their low overhead, I think it makes the prices way more affordable than other east side hair salons. I have long, straight hair but I know she cuts great short and wavy hair too because the person going before me had short hair and she the way she cut it was SO cute! I really can’t say enough good things about Leala. She’s very laid back but very professional and really the proof is in the pudding, I will continue to go to her for a job well done every time. Oh and she’s really great about getting you into her calendar. Call her!

Finding a new hairstylist is always an adventure. As a recent transplant from San Diego, I had been searching for months on Unilocal for someone and when I saw Leala’s reviews I decided to take the plunge!
I had my hair done by Leala last Thursday and I couldn’t be happier! She used the organic color on me and thank goodness no allergic reactions compared to the regular dye that always gives me itchy swollen ears haha (I’m allergic to everything under the sun) My hair color is now balanced out, I had grown out highlights before. I would definitely recommend Leala to anyone who’s in need of a cut and color :)

Leala is an exceptional stylist who I’ve been going to for 15 plus years — THE BEST! Among her many skills, color is her specialty and she uses organic product. I’m constantly changing my hair color and she is so encouraging, guiding me every step of the way until we find the perfect match. She knows hair and she will make you look your very best!

Leala is fantastic! She’s been cutting my dear friend’s hair for a few years and she always has the most gorgeous cuts — super textured, layered little bobs. But we have very different hair (hers is thick/​wavy; mine is insanely thick/​curly/​ringlet-​y) so I was hesitant to try her out. I should NOT have been hesitant. She’s just as good with a head full o’ wacky curls! I wear my hair on the shorter side (not the easiest look to master) and both times I left the salon, I felt so darn good — and got a flurry of compliments, to boot. She’s easy-​going, mellow, talented and her pricing is reasonable. What’s not to love? I also love the salon — it’s totally nondescript, no products for sale, no snotty receptionist. A total throwback and it’s refreshing.

Wow! Leala is the best. I was nervous to try a new stylist, but Leala made it SO pain free. She took a lot of time to make sure I was comfortable with the look I wanted and my cut and highlights came out just right! She kept a file of what she did for my highlights so that she can capture the look again in the future. She is a true professional, as well as sweet and friendly. We chatted as if we knew each other forever! I did not feel like a first time customer. I felt so comfortable and at ease with Leala. The plus was the huge amount of compliments I received on my hair! Amazing! Can’t recommend her enough!

I’m a wanderer when it comes to hair stylists but I always come home to Leala, she is excellent at cut and color, very fun and friendly and has great ideas. Organic Color is a big plus too. It’s easy to make an appt at her website. Great parking and she is right next to Tomato Pie for yummy pizza. I have wavy hair that I don’t like to blow dry and she manages to make me sleek and polished. She is current on fashion and is happy to change things up. Love her!

I’m very happy with Leala. She is available when I need her — like Sundays– and does a great job. Nice, talented and easy is a perfect combination. I’ve come to her for over two years and wouldn’t consider changing. Highly recommended.

Since I started seeing Leala two years ago, my hair has never looked better! She suggested a new look with organic color that I totally love and brings me tons of compliments. I always look forward to seeing her as I know we will have a fun chat and my hair will look fabulous. She also does a great job with my husband’s hair. Highly recommended!

I’ve been going to Leala since I moved out to LA last year and am so thankful I found her! She’s made me look like a rock star with every treatment I’ve gotten — ombré, Brazilian straightening, organic root touchups and most recently extensions. I look and feel like a million bucks thanks to her superb talent. I can’t even count the number of compliments I’ve gotten since my last visit — my hair looks so healthy and natural. Her prices are reasonable, her schedule is accommodating and the time just flies thanks to her upbeat personality and witty conversation. 5 stars!

I’ve been getting my hair cut and colored by Leala for almost 9 years and I absolutely love her. She is a great stylist and colorist, and is also a really awesome person. It’s a treat to chat with her when I get my hair cut. I always feel great after she cuts my hair, and she has the magic touch in choosing color. She uses organic hair color which is also a big plus for me. I’ve sent several friends to her and they all rave about her as well. I can’t recommend her enough, and she is also really flexible with her schedule and fitting people in. Love Leala!

Leala is a brilliant hair stylist and make up artist! She listens very well to her clients and understands how to give each their own style. She has transformed my hair and three other clients I have sent to her!!! Plus, she offers organic hair color. Leala rocks!!!
