I came in for the first time today and will definitely be back. I bought one of their mini quiches to take home and it was delicious. The one I bought was made with olives, sun dried tomatoes, and carmelized onions. The price was great too. I can’t wait to go back for the quiche Loraine.

Found this place using Unilocal and wasn’t disappointed. One of the owners was there and she was super friendly and nice, apparently her husband bakes all the pastries on site. I was excited to try the croissants so we got a chocolate and an almond. They were both outstanding(that’s saying something since finding a good croissant in LA is a challenge to say the least). It’s small and cozy, parking was easy on a weekday morning and the pastries were stellar. Worth the trip, for sure!

Not much around this section of CC but I really like this place. It has the best almond croissant and if that is sold out than the choc-almond croissant is good, too. i VERYMUCH liked my cappuccino with coconut milk. Staff very friendly.

Laurent’s has been a favorite since I first found them at the Mar Vista Farmers’ Market years ago. Terrific omelettes, muffins, and other fresh baked goods. The workers are friendly & down to earth — None of that Gallic snobbishness that can be such a turn-off. Try it — You’ll like it!

Chocolate Almond Croissant. That is all. More of a «grab and go» place than a sit down café, but that’s just me.

Too bad prices aren’t more affordable, I would be there more often and I’m sure more people would be around.

This place is absolutely wonderful. I went in here randomly one day waiting for a meeting and decided to have breakfast. What a great decesion! Everything was made in house and the owner was a wonderful hostess. We dined, chatted and i felt so welcomed. One of the best places I have been in a long time. I wish I was closer to here but I will be visiting again soon. I can still taste the croissant as well as the house made dressing that was on my salad. Oui oui!!!

The French Toast was verey diferent and tasty I loved it. I definitely recommend this place for a good breakfast, pastries and coffee, you will not go wrong with any of their items.

Went here for«breakfast» and it was as Donald Trump would say a disaster. For $ 9 two of us ordered the breakfast sandwich and my GF got the pancakes. The pancakes came out first, they looked like the pancakes I made at camp on a buddy burner from a tin can. Burnt looking, greasy, doughy, the worst pancakes I’ve ever had — it must be a french thing. It was missing the Nutella as well. Then came the two breakfast sandwiches. They were mangled from whoever tried to cut the croissant the knife must not have worked. A simple egg scramble inside which was barely seasoned if you can’t make scrambled eggs right, you can’t cook. Here’s the goofiest part, they brought the sides of fruit for the sandwiches and they brought them in this plastic container. For some reason they chose to use the lids from a slurpee as there was this huge hole at the bottom, it’s that big hole that they put in slurpee lids for the straw/spoon, and when I picked up the container the fruits fell out. The untimeliness of the food is a direct result of the understaffing issues they have. The food might also be horrible for the same reason. I really wanted to like this place which is why I’m being very nice giving it 2 stars but sadly I will never return here again. It’s uninspired, odd, and doesn’t have a place…

It’s just a breathe of fresh air to walk into a place and feel relaxed and cozy with whatever pastry or coffee beverage of your choice! The breakfast sandwiches are delicious and they really hit the spot! Definitely will come back fer more!

I had an iced coffee. It was mostly ice. That made me sad. The actual coffee tasted fairly good though, all four sips of it. I also had the turkey sandwich. It was a train wreck. The avocado was so far from ripe it was actually crunchy. The cheese was literally cut into half inch by half inch by two inch logs. The turkey was nice and moist, but had a weird processed taste to it. Plus, it was assembled with the finesse of an angry six year old, two hours late for nap time. The sandwich’s saving grace was that the French bread was delicious… But they negated any benefit of good bread because only the top piece was cut in half. Yeah. It was weird. Plus it took almost 20 minutes to get it. I could have walked to the store, bought ingredients, made the sandwich, and then walked to the coffee shop in the same time for a lot less money. Oh yeah, it was almost $ 13. That’s the most insulting part. Do not order this sandwich. You’ll only get a plate of regrets. Still, I’m going to go back have more coffee(with less ice) and try the delicious looking pastries because I hear that’s their strong point.

Quaint, cozy, fresh, tasty and OMG are the croissaints buttery and flaky and nicely balanced too. Almost needed a bib :) We had the crossaint sandwich which comes with scrambled eggs and ham or turkey. Downside… if there is one?¿ is the table spacing if there several customers present at once. A little pricey but coffee was limitless, owners are friendly and the son was a cute addition. Ambiance was nice and music selection was nice as well. Never felt rushed. easy like Sunday morning. Oh… don’t forget to ask for the frequent purchase card.

Our first stop today while checking out the first Taste of Washington West festival. Can’t say no to a free iced coffee on this warm Fall day. Staff was super nice, handing out with a smile iced coffee to every one walking in. Soon the whole place was buzzing. We are glad we came in before the crowd showed up! Table tops for 2 can easily be moved around to accommodate more. We got 3 tables to seat the 6 of us and enjoyed conversation with our iced coffees, juice for the kids and complimentary pastries such as tri-Berry corn muffin, chocolate pastry as well as my favorite a pear pastry. All baked fresh from scratch onsite. And you can taste the fresh baked. There is a water dispenser on the counter as well to keep hydrated. The super nice lady said they opened 2 months ago. It’s a bit ways out of downtown Culver City but we will definitely come back to support local businesses on this side West of CC.

I have been frequenting Laurent’s establishments and his farmers market booths for many years. I was excited to learn he had opened a shop walking distance from our home. We had a chance to visit, as usual fantastic pastries, quiche, waffles and a new egg scramble in a pita. Something for everyone for breakfasts and a full coffee bar. Also great staff and service

The Pastries here are amazing. I specifically came for the croissants and I was NOT disappointed. Place is small, clean and the staff is friendly. Their food is fresh and you can tell is all made from scratch. The air-condition does not work well so it made relaxing and eating breakfast a little less enjoyable. The tables are a good size for coffee, but a little too small for eating breakfast. My granddaughter and I have a Saturday Morning pancake tradition and unfortunately she didn’t like her pancake. The syrup was not warm as she likes it. The pancakes had a citrusy hint to them and although I enjoyed them ok– but, they were not the best I have had. The staff is VERY friendly! They pour our drinks and checked on us often. My breakfast sandwich was delicious! The croissant was nice and flakey. The side green salad was fresh and balsamic vinaigrette dressing was tasty.

The next incarnation of the Laurent series… Laurent’s «Le» Coffee Shop — coffee, pastries, bread & more — has opened on Washington Blvd just west of Centinela(Culver City). Really missed Bistro Laurent on Sepulveda after it closed. They’re back, but in a smaller coffee shop setting. «Le» Coffee Shop has all of the pastries that we loved plus an abbreviated breakfast and lunch menu. My son loves the Pains Perdus, their unique take on French toast with a side of scrambled eggs. The goat cheese & leek quiche is on the menu — plus the others that they sell at the farmers markets. Today I had the chicken curry salad sandwich on one of their fresh croissants. The only disappointment is that they are not serving their crêpes — at least«not yet.» Heureux de vous revoir, mes bons amis. MSO
