I’ve grown up eating king taco! Never disappoints. Had a carne asada burrito, not too much rice and beans and the red sauce makes the whole thing taste amazing, a little spicy so if you’re not up for the challenge get the green sauce instead. Service here is pretty fast, even during busy lunch hour you can be in and out in 30 minutes if you have to. Sometimes parking gets a little tricky but you can always park on the street. Sopes are also amazing here, the bean to meat ratio is perfect and the yummy cheese they put on top is just the right amount of salty, nachos are also very very good but huge portion.

This is probably one of the best fast food Mexican food places I’ve tried. They are very strict with their credit card policy for your security so do not try to use anyone’s but your own or you’ll be turned away without exception. Their stole is one of my favorite sweet drinks, but you cant really go wrong with anything you try. I enjoy their tacos, any meat, I like the red sauce, however my coworkers are obsessed with the green. Their horchata is a little too sweet for my liking but their Jamaica is on point!

The best tacos in town. Only bad thing is that they don’t give Lemons and you have to pay extra for the darn taco sauce if you want more. And you probably will cause the sauce is the best ever.

Worst experience ever I ordered a burrito. I received it it was falling apart. I was not going to make a big deal about it. Then I asked my wife to get me some lemons. They manager said we don’t give out lemons. S ok I went and asked him. He said no we only give out lemons with our soups. I said wow. Can I buy some no we don’t sell then ether the guy said Really bad customer service. Last time I go there.

Last two times I’ve been here I’ve been swerved by the same lady, and every time she has some type of attitude towards me and she messes up my order every single time! I don’t know if she can’t hear clearly or she’s just being rude on purpose but she doesn’t make me want to come back. I’d give no stars if I could –_–

Never disappointing. I admit it, i loooove King Taco. Trucks aren’t always better. SOPES are excellent, make sure they are just fried and crunchy. I usually finish this with an extra or two tacos: CABEZA and PASTOR are the best ones. The Horchata is sometimes a miss, but overall, solid everytime. Area a bit ghetto, so don’t go alone. Tables can be messy, they don’t always come by to wipe them.

Wow, 20 minutes for 4 tacos of asada??? I love the food, but not worth that long wait. To add, I asked for sopes, she wrote tacos. Not cool.

Busy location in Lincoln Heights for this cult favorite. This one has a rather large dining area to eat at. The placement of where to place your orders and to pick up your order when it is ready is not so great though. The counter where you place the order is placed perpendicular to where you pick up the food. So the line of people waiting to order cuts across the counters where you pick up your food, causing chaos because you have to almost elbow people out of the way to get your food after. They also have the worst PA system of any King Taco I’ve ever been to, every number they yell out through the PA system sounds like it was shouted through a muffler stuffed with wool and rocks, it’s straight garbled. Also, the bathrooms are locked, and if you need to use it, you need to find a security guard(there wasnt one when we went). Or you need to crash the counter where all the people are placing their orders(no small feat in itself.). Food is as you’d expect. I think King Taco has it pretty standardized on their quality. I don’t quite understand why it always takes so long to get your order ready at King Taco, even when everyhting is pretty much cooked already.

Pretty standard Mexican Fast food. Whenever I am in a rush and don’t have time for a super authentic spot, King Taco is my go-to place. Parking at this location can sometimes be a pain, especially at lunch, but a crowded parking lot speaks to a happy business, so keep it up King Taco!

Now how can you f%#k up Mexican food!!! I ordered a chicken burrito, amongst other things today on my order but wow!!! More than half of the burrito is rice with beans, which I could have made here at hoke with my Mexican husband, alongside with chunks of onions. There were more onions than there was chicken. I called and spoke with someone of superiority, so the only way to get what I paid for was to go back!!! Wtf!!! I’m not going to spend another 30min for a freaking burrito. Pasadena King taco will be my go to from now on and they don’t act stingy with their sauces and they hook it up. Plus, they have a breakfast menu!!! F@ck this establishment!!!

King taco is a staple of Los Angeles. Usually located in Latino urban areas, king taco is the In N Out of Mexican food. Always long lines and great food for a great price. I came to this location while driving through the area and that’s when the craving for their food kicked in. Parking sucks here, if you’re lucky and patient you can find a spot. Their parking lot is small so parking on Broadway at a meter is your best bet. Service is friendly and humble. Getting your food on a good day is pretty quick. They limit salsa containers now which kind of sucks but it’s understandable; everyone wants to stock up on the salsas. Tables were pretty sketchy with tags scratched in to them. I usually order my food to go. Dining area was okay looking. Pictures of vintage Los Angeles and Mexican art work in the walls. Added to the ambience. I noticed a lot of families were dining here as well which added to the authenticity.

Been craving King Taco for the longest I live in the valley & let me tell you no other taco place compares to the quality they produce. I’m always willing make the drive out regards of distance and traffic to satisfy my craving. I always get a carne asada burrito with a large Jamaica but today I went all out I got that plus four tacos on the side. I love the taste of their meat I have no idea what they marinade it with but it’s PERFECT! It’s so good that I eat it with or without any type of sauce. I love how their Jamaica isn’t over sweet I could drink it from days & still not be tried of it. The only reason I took a star off was because the lack of parking & the wait to order. If you can get past those two issues then you’re golden because the food speaks for itself.

King Taco is probably one of my favorite taco places in Los Angeles. The Lincoln Heights location is not too crowded and the people working there were friendly as well. There were a lot of people when I went on a weekend afternoon but the service was still pretty quick. My friend and I ordered 3 Al Pastor tacos, about $ 1.29 each! And we also ordered beef and chicken tamales to go and they were cheap as well. The Al Pastor tacos were so delicious that in my opinion, it didn’t really need any sauce. I know that the red and green sauce is delicious too but I really thought that the tacos were so fresh and flavorful that it didn’t need anything else. The meat was tender, onions were fresh and chopped correctly, and there wasn’t too much cilantro that overpowered the dish. It was perfect. I almost ordered 3 more but I had to restrain myself. We also ordered an horchata to pair with our tacos. I love how they don’t really ask you what size you want, they basically have one big standard size cup. My friend and I also ordered chicken and beef tamales to go and they were pretty tasty as well. Funny story, we actually bought the tamales to sneak them into the movie theater that we were going to later and I kid you not, they were still warm as hell. I don’t know how they managed to cook it but I was amazed that after being in the theater for 2 and a half hours that the tamales still managed to stay warm as if they were just cooked. They have a parking lot at the Lincoln Heights location but it’s pretty small but parking is relatively easy to find around the area so you won’t have a probably finding a spot. They accept credit cards here which is good also. I recommend going to King Taco, you will not be disappointed!

Been to several of their locations and this one is by far the worst of them all. 1. They tried to charge me for extra onions 2. Wouldn’t let me buy a cup of red sauce. They sent us to the next door bakery and gave us fermented salsa. 3. I gave it three chances before writing this and this was the straw that broke the camels back. I got burrito full of gristle pieces yet again! How does this happen three times in a row. Disgusted. Disappointed. Done

Another 5 stars for King Taco! While none of the locations are nice and inviting to hang out at for awhile, the al pastor is so darn good, it is worth the long lines and sticky tables. Service, not the best, portions small for the price, but one bite and I already want toget back in that line for more. Burrito for the man, tacos for me, quesadilla for the kid(I get his guac,) all with al pastor delicious every single time! Green sauce is great, man loves the red, happy and satisfied every time, just be sure to order more, its that good and again portions are on the small side.

I don’t know why I keep coming here. These tacos are not that good. By the time I grab my food and get home(which is about 5 minutes or less away) my tacos are already soggy. The chicken is actually pretty good. They use white meat which is why they are getting 2 stars and not one haha. I’m usually intoxicated when visiting this establishment. My girlfriend got the asada tacos. The meat is supposedly marinated in something but you only really taste the cilantro and onion. They are also very, very tight with their sauces. I ordered food for some friends that came out to be about 15 tacos and 2 burritos. They only gave us about 3 sauces. The red sauce is amazingly good. The green is a few notches below that. With all of the other tacos stands and restaurants, this place is closer to the bottom. Since I usually eat with my girlfriend, she has introduced me to some street taco locations that are really good but I’m sure they are the worst for you. I am really trying to stop coming to this place. The food is no good and the setting is not very welcoming. I’ll trust my other locations and those street tacos. Good Day!

King Taco will always(or at least has for a very long time) hold my heart for having my favorite carne asada. It is so limey, and just enough grease(haha) that I absolutely love it. We did a work run for tacos, burritos and sopes today for lunch. I finally tried a different meat and got some sopes al pastor – I must say, I really liked it! My coworker said it was pretty good, and I have to admit, it was(this was also my first time trying sopes). The burritos that were ordered seemed smaller than they used to be, even though everyone was happy and full afterwards. Everyone agreed they used to be a lot bigger and more engorged. This is my first trip to this location so maybe they do make them smaller here, or maybe it was just this person that filled our order. My sopes were overflowing with al pastor, and my tacos with carne asada. so I’m not complaining. I was never asked how many of which salsa I wanted with my order when I placed the order and paid(we asked for all the salsa on the side) and it was hard to hear the guy prepping our food. It was a little shouting match to say«10 green, 2 red.». we got close, he gave us 9 green, 2 red. I don’t appreciate that King Taco has become super sticklers with their salsa, only one cup allowed per 3 tacos, one per burrito, etc. and they want to charge 69c for each extra cup. Maybe they’d rather I order each person’s order individually instead of combining them into one large order – as if its hard to understand that three people ordered 2 tacos(so I should technically get THREE salsas) instead of 2 people ordering 3 tacos(where I would only get TWO). If I had made them separate orders, I’d get 3 salsas, but no. I do it all together and get shorted a salsa, lol. Small frustrations, but annoying!

King Taco is the king of tacos. Others may beg to differ, they may say there’s better. But I love King Taco. I especially love King Taco after a drunken night at the club. Or even when you’re craving for some damn tacos. You know what gets me? Their green salsa. I hear it’s a secret family recipe. I believe this because I have not had that salsa anywhere else but at King Taco. The green salsa is less spicy than their red salsa which I only do when I’m feeling brave. My usual is two carne Asada tacos with cilantro and onion, and one carne Asada sope with everything: beans, cabbage, and cheese. A large horchata to wash everything down. This place is a no brainer. Order up at the counter, they give you a number, wait for your number to be called, then enjoy! My meal will be less than $ 8 here. They offer a variety of different meats to enjoy; cabeza, lengua, Asada, chicken, carnitas, al pastor.

Sorry, but I am on a 3 Star or less rut. I mean, its 7 out of the last 8!!! I dropped by here w/Rica, my East LA chica late nite after 1 am(they close @ 2 am). I have not been to a King Taco in ages. But they must be doing something right if they have been open for 40 years. I ordered 2 carne asada tacos, 2 al pastor tacos($ 1.29/each), a pork tamale($ 1.45), and a large Jamaica($ 1.89). King Taco also serves rotisserie chicken, menudo, and this location had a bakery next door(not sure how late the bakery stays open). The tacos were OK. The carne asada was good, but there wasn’t much meat for the price. The same goes for the al pastor, although it was cooked on a spindle like it is supposed to be: 3 Stars. On the other hand, the tamale was not very good. It was dry and didn’t have much meat: 2 Stars. The service was very good. The cashier was nice(she also opened the bathroom for me earlier), and the food came out quickly: 4 Stars. The ambiance is basic casual Mexican. You walk up and order, you pick up when your name is called and you sit down in a large dining area. The bathroom was clean though: 3 Stars. You cannot live in LA a long time w/o coming to King Taco. Although it has become commercialized, the locations are consistent, but the portions are small. King Taco IMO is like the McD’s of Mex in LA, only open later.
