Dr Barbosa is amazing. He took care of me and my family. I had a painless root canal done their by a specialist and it was quick and professional and painless. I give this place 5 stars but they deserve 10. Thank u dr barbosa

I had both my wisdom teeth removed here. I was in a lot of pain and was really nervous about having them removed. Dr. Barbosa has very gentle hands. I didn’t even feel the needle when I was being administered the anesthesia. I was nervous but the doctor talked me through the procedure, kept asking me if I was comfortable or if I was in pain.
Funny story! When the tooth was pulled I got out of the chair and I had no idea the tooth had been pulled. I couldn’t feel a thing! It wasn’t until I got my tooth in a little bag that I realized it was out. Everyone had a good laugh but it’s just a testament to how gentle they are!
Dr. Barbosa, the assistants and the staff are all very friendly and professional. They followed up with me to make sure I was doing ok after and to offer after care tips.

Worst dental clinic ever!
I found Dr Galvan in MetLife’s referral list and made an appointment for a check-​up and cleaning. When I got to my appointment, I had X-​rays and then an exam by another dentist, Dr. Barbosa, NOT Dr. Galvan, who said I needed a root canal and I said, no, I’m quite sure I don’t. He said he could «try» to do a filling, but was sure that I would need a root canal. He then «cleaned» my teeth which consisted of polishing only and no deep cleaning, scaling or flossing. (I hadn’t been to a dentist since 2007 (4 years) and have never NOT had extensive cleaning and scraping). He then said I was done and he’d see me again for my root canal. On my way out, I told the front office that I wasn’t going to make an appt. because I was going to get a 2^nd opinion. They told me they could refer someone for a 2^nd opinion, which I declined, of course (assuming the referral would be to someone with whom they are in «cahoots»).
I got a referral from a few work colleagues who recommended Dr. Bruce Dodge in Burbank. I visited Dr. Dodge, and he said I would only need a filling and that my teeth had plaque and no obvious signs that they’d been «cleaned» only a week prior. I made 2 consecutive appointments, 1 for cleaning which took over an hour and I felt like my teeth had actually been cleaned, and 1 for the simple filling which only took 30 minutes. I highly recommend Dr. Dodge.
I recommend anyone who’s had services at Dr. Galvan’s & Dr. Barbosa’s, definitely seek a 2^nd opinion and get your teeth cleaned somewhere else!

Recently went to the Dentist and I have always have had bad experiences with dental groups, So Husband and I decided to go with an independent practice. The place is not fancy, but they are honest and fair pricing. The staff is very friendly and so are the dentist. They are currently remodeling the office which is great. The place is clean and the staff are professionals. The male dentist Barbosa, Irubiel, DDS is very gentle and professional, And they are bilingual in spanish, I feel happy that I finally found a great dentist.
