Super fresh and homemade! I wish I’d taken a pic of the quesadilla a la Mexicana with squash blossom flowers! Thick homemade corn tortilla stuffed with flowers, lettuce, crema and queso fresco. A hidden gem!

Huarache What? Yes I said Huarache… for those that don’t know a Huarache is kinda like a Pupusa with meat and sauce on top and beans on the inside. Or maybe like a Taco Pancake ;) Antojitos Chilancos is in the Shopping plaza next door to El Super to the right if your facing it. There’s Cindy Donuts in the same plaza. The foods good and priced right for the portions, below 6 bucks!!! And there are Even items at 3 dollars. I’ve had the Huarache and burrito and Horchata which were all pretty good. The service was also Great! Bring cash because you will need it since they don’t take credit cards.

First time trying this place out and I am impressed. Left here really satisfied. They serve good authentic mexican food that will leave your tummy coming back for some more. TRUST! From one foodie to the next. You won’t be disappointed. It’s a small family owned establishment at the corner of york and Ave 56 in the highland park area. Met the owner’s son and he was very nice and attentive. My bf and I were very indecisive but we will eat anything tasty. The owner’s son recommended a chorizo and egg burrito. It was not bad. I love breakfast burritos and I’m not a fan of chorizo but it was actually delicious. Love their sauces especially the green sauce. We also ordered a asada huarache. Now this is my favorite dish. It was cooked to perfection. The meat was tender and juicy. Never had a huarache beefore. Will definitely come back for it again.
