This restaurant has the best crispy whole flounder I’ve had from any Thai restaurant. It’s well worth the price in my opinion. They also have good fried rice and drunken noodles. I’ve never had a problem with service when I’ve been here, so I’m not sure what these other reviews are referring to. If you are in the area and are willing to splurge a little, then this is the way to go!

Since moving to the area, this had become one of my favorite restaurants. Simply put, their Crispy Duck is always amazing! But recently they’ve been experiencing severe service problems. The last time I was there we waited almost 15 minutes after being seated to even be given water, our food took over 40 minutes to get, and then it was cold. When we complained, they asked if we wanted it MICROWAVED! NO I DON’T, I want my food hot from the kitchen. Now I could have expected this if the place was packed, but there were only 3 other tables there and the people coming in and placing to-go orders were getting there food and leaving before we got ours. Great food, but if they don’t fix their staffing problems, I won’t be returning.

Food was fine and there’s a nice outdoor patio. The inside is carpeted and I thought it smelled funny in there so I choose to eat outside. The waitress couldn’t tell me what kind/cut of beef was in the beef entrees which I found strange.

This place has gotten worse! Poor service! You need more experienced server and cleaner utensils!

The oriental food(gyoza and spring rolls) was delicious. However, the steak Bangkok was grisly and undercook. The sever was attentive when we first sat down, however, she forgot to bring out wine until after our meal was served and we asked about it. The service for our table was painful slow.

Last week was our 4th visit to Faang. Our first 3 experiences were very good, but the 4th was awful. They have temporarily lost their sushi chef so they discontinued the sushi menu, which is what we went their for. There were 4 people in our party. My daughter got shrimp & chicken fried rice, and there were only 2 shrimp in the dish. I had the Vegetable Pad Thai, which I ordered because when I had it at Faang another time it was very good. This time it was very bland and had mostly spring onions and no other vegetables. The tofu was sweet(yuck) and the noodles were bland. They must have a new chef because this food was not up to par. The waiter was slow, he sat in the back room watching tv most of the time(we were 1 of 2 tables in the restaurant). He came to the table and gave us menus then walked away without taking our drink order. Then he came back and asked if we wanted an appetizer — I had to ask if we could get some drinks. When he brought us new drinks, he didn’t take the old glasses so we ended up with quite a collection of empty glasses on the table. They clearly are not training their wait staff. He mentioned he’d been there one month. The most offensive thing, though, was that the place was filthy. We sat next to the window, and there were cobwebs with spiders in them.(The waiter came and got the spider with a napkin and never apologized for the fact that there were cobwebs and spiders!) There were dead bugs laying on the wide horizontal blinds and on the window panes, which we were sitting right next to! It was obvious that the windows and not been cleaned in some time. If it’s that dirty out where customers sit, then what does the kitchen look like? I don’t want to even think about it. I wish we’d asked for a discount or to talk to the manager because the more I think about it the more grossed out I get. I feel really bad, because this was one of our favorite spots, but I doubt we’ll ever go there again.

Two of us went for dinner around 8:30 on Saturday night. As it was a beautiful night, we requested to sit outside. We then spent 15 minutes waiting for someone to come by and greet us. This I could understand if they were busy, but they were not and one of their employees was talking to the customers at the table next to us almost that entire time. It took 5 minutes to get water and an additional 10 minutes to get our bar drinks. After our salads were delivered, and we didn’t have silverware, it took 5+ minutes to get it. My companion eventually went inside to ask for some and was told they didn’t have any ready. We were passed several times by other employees refilling water, while our water glasses were empty. The only saving grace of our evening was our server, Mike. When he was there, he was quite attentive. I don’t think this is a terrible place, but a majority of the staff is inattentive and inconsiderate. The experience was bad enough that we will not be back.

Nice outside patio, it looks good however the service is slow and we are the only ones here. Also the hair in my chili basil chicken was a little more then I bargained for. Other then the hair the food was good.

I tried the Japanese bento set and it was alright. One of the bigger problems was that the rice that accompanied the bento box was not Japanese sushi rice, more of a jasmine rice, which is kinda an odd pairing. In addition, I had ordered the steak teriyaki to be medium, but it was well done to the max. It was still edible, but be forewarned that they may not be able to cook beef items to order. For the sushi quality, I wasn’t expecting much, so it was just okay. The ginger dressing on their salads here is a bit more of a creamier version and much sweeter than I would have preferred. It’s a bit different compared to other places that use more of a pureed dressing. It seems that Thai dishes might be the way to go here. My friend got the drunken noodles and she seemed pretty happy with it in terms of flavor. But, she didn’t like how the chicken was so finely diced/minced.

I haven’t had the sushi here but the Thai is pretty standard. When I visited a few weeks ago the service was very good and the décor is nice. We didn’t need to wait for a table but it was also a week night. I’d like to go back to try some of their other menu items.

I live across the street from here and I’ve sat in maybe 3 – 4 times. I also get their takeout a lot. The Thai food is nice, the Japanese is so-so but I’m tough to please. My only complaint about the place is that the dishes are very unoriginal for a Japanese-Thai fusion restaurant. It’s like you chose the 10 most generic meals from either type of restaurant and put th em on the menu. They have a few mixups like Curry Tempura, but I’m not a fan. I would recommend their lunch sets — the portions are generous(if you get Thai food) and it comes with a salad and soup for about $ 10 or less. If you’re feeling naughty, get a sushi roll on the side.

I enjoy Faang frequently for lunch, as my company is located in the same town center. I’ve consistently had good meals, and one of my favorites is the Thai Basil Duck. Service isn’t the fastest, but I’ve never had a dramatically slow experience either. On the other hand, beware when ordering take out. We just had an experience ordering where the gal on the other end of the phone literally couldn’t get anything right. I’m not talking language translation issues which are completely acceptable — this was just somebody who really acted like nothing we said mattered. She got the address, the order and the card number wrong more than 3 times for each specific thing. The food is worth it, but I hope management is listening. Your staff needs some serious attention if so many people are mentioning it.

EXCELLENT!!! I’ve been here several times. My food is always great and service is always fast… I have no clue what these other reviewers are talking about. This is one of my favorite restaurants in the Leesburg area. I typically get the rice noodles with chicken and broccoli. Never fails, always taste great and the ingredients are always fresh.

I agree with the other reviews… service here is sllllooooooowwww. But we came in knowing that. That aside, this was a great meal. Our server was very sweet. We ordered two cocktails and — for $ 7 and change — we thought they were a bargain. I had the pad thai — super delish. The hubs had the Ginger Perfect. The sauce was just that — perfect. The chicken, however, was dried out. The ambiance is kind of bland — crisp white table tops, and unremarkable décor. But it is clean. And I prefer bland and modern to cluttered and dirty any day. We’ll be back(soon!). The Breakdown: Food: 4 Prices: 4(reasonable prices for big portions; specialty cocktails are cheap) Cleanliness: 4 Service: 5 Ambiance: 3(modern meets blah)

I want to love this place; I really do. It’s close to Cobb12, a great movie theater and the décor is nice. I love Thai, I love sushi-this should be perfect for me, right? The food is «okay;» I’ve gone twice now and ordered several different items. The Tom Kha soup was plentiful, creamy yet a bit too salty; someone may have gone overboard with the fish sauce when making it. The beef salad was over spiced; again too much salt(you can see the crystals). The chick satay-the chicken itself is good, but the sauce is too sweet. They overload the dishes in sauce(every plate at our table was drowning in sauce). I did not like the house dressing for the salad; it was too sweet(see a trend?) My friend ordered green tea and they brought her a teapot, but the tea they use is fairly weak. After several minutes of steeping, she still had clear water. Service both times was okay; first night they weren’t busy but it seemed like they sat 10 – 15 tables at once(they didn’t) because the kitchen got backed up, but it happens. Second time, service was a bit better, but again, it seems servers are rushing around even though the place is not that full. Call me crazy, but I want to give them another shot. I’ll update once I do.

Ended up here after shopping at Leesburg. It’s pretty solid place for sushi, especially given the area. They offer happy hour specials($ 3 apps, ½ priced nigiri, $ 3 drafts, and more) though, of course, you have to be sitting in the bar area. The food was pretty good. CPIK and I had second rounds of the Gyoza. The lemon grass soup was delectable, especially on a cold night. I’d recommend pouring the soy sauce from the Gyoza into the soup. Minus a star for the amount of time it took for our food to get out. The apps came out fine, but when we went for a second round of sushi, we couldn’t help but wonder if they were catching our fish because it just took forever for it to get to us. Loved the ambiance. The décor was modern and felt cozy. With Cobb Theaters in the area and pinkberry just across the street, this would be a great spot if you’re looking for a relaxing date night with your s.o.

Surprisingly good for a Thai and sushi restaurant. I keep getting mail about the place so I decided to try it out earlier. I was skeptical about the reviews but I was craving sushi and I didn’t feel like driving far. Came with a friend for a late lunch and we were pleasantly surprised at how good the food was. We started out with the grilled scallops, which were wrapped with bacon and topped with hoison sauce. Wow, was pleasantly surprised with how good they were. Afterwards, we did a few orders of a la carte sushi to see how they were. I ordered some tuna and salmon nigiri while my friend got some spicy tuna rolls. Wasn’t bad considering it was a thai restaurant. Following that, we then ordered a sushi plate with sashimi and an order of the satay. The satay was great too. Chicken topped with some sweet sauce. The sushi was also pretty good as well considering the restaurant doesn’t really specialize in sushi. 3.5 stars overall. I’m sure the Thai food is great after the scallops and the satay. The sushi wasn’t bad, just wasn’t amazing. Filled my craving for sushi and I’m happy. I felt the pricing was on the higher side considering this restaurant is in Leesburg, but I assume it is because of the location being in the new shopping center.

Initially I was very impressed: atmosphere is great; people are super friendly. I was thrown by the fact that everyone who worked out on the floor was Caucasian, because to me that took away from the authenticity of it, but it’s the food that was the real issue. First of all, Spring Rolls, in my opinion, should be a vegetarian dish; here, they have ground chicken in them. Which would have been fine, except whatever the chicken is seasoned with made them taste a few days old. For dinner I had the Green Curry with chicken — this is sort of my Thai staple, I get the same thing at every Thai restaurant I go to so I can compare. In addition to the curry itself being too sweet, I found 2 pieces of pure fatty chicken before I couldn’t eat anymore. There were a few peas, but that was it in the way of vegetables. Then there was who I assume to be the owner’s son running through the dining room all throughout our meal. At one point he was throwing a major hissy fit in the back. I thought this was extremely inappropriate given how upscale the venue comes across. My husband appreciated the twists on the more traditional Thai menu items but said they came up bland and would give this place 2 stars. I’ve never been to another Faang but I definitely won’t be back.
