This restaurant is my go to for Chinese food. Take out or sit down either way they have great food and I love the service. When I bring my family I am always met with a friendly greeting and seated quickly. I love eating here when I have visitors from out of town or groups, with the options they offer it really makes taking a group out easy. The buffet is on the smaller side and the containers are not usually filled completely. That means, to me, the food is fresh and warm from being cooked, not reheated. There is a Mongolian grill here stocked, fun and well prepared. The sushi on the buffet is more along the lines of rolls, but they are well prepared, fresh and tasty. The sushi ordered from the menu however is really well done, fresh and as good as you’ll find in this area. One last thing, lunch. I love this restaurant as a place to hold my business lunches. The selection of food means that most of my clients can find something they prefer, plus the price fits well into my budget. The serving staff are very good about not interrupting meets and I really appreciate the extra effort.

Arrived shortly after they had closed the buffet. No big deal. We happily ordered off the menu. Staff was very friendly and attentive. Food was horrible. Sushi did not taste fresh. Our fried rice had at least 1, if not 2, entire onions chopped into it. Won’t return.

I’ve been ordering from this place for years! The owner even recognizes my name and typical order, I felt like that was so thoughtful and it gave a sense of community. Plus the food is so tasty!

Delicious food, fantastic and helpful staff. I wanted a crispy tofu with vegetables that was spicy and it was no problem. We’ve been coming here since 1999 and its always good. Love the soup and the vegetarian dishes(which I always do) are great. We’ve tried other chines restaurants around town and always end up back here.

This is our favorite Chinese restaurant in Leesburg! We typically order delivery but also have visited the buffet a few times. We just went there for lunch, and the selection of food was amazing! Everything was fresh and constantly refilled. Our server kept up on our drinks, and the restaurant was very clean. There were only a few people there when we were there and I was surprised given how great an experience we had there. My only complaint would be that the desserts(chocolate cake and cream puffs) were a little stale, but everything else was very very good. We will definitely return.

I have eaten at many Chinese buffets. Some were better than others. However, I usually am able to find something palatable on a buffet. Not so today. I arrived at 12:10 pm. Which is considered lunch time in most American cities. I was seated and directed to the buffet. Most of the chafing dishes were nearly scraped clean of food. I honestly had to take 2 trips around to finally decide to try a few pieces of the sushi they had out. Mushy, flavorless, slightly warm. I decided to give it another try. Upon closer inspection, many of the buffet items seemed to be, for lack of a better description, old. Each chafing dish had a ‘film’ of hardened sauce covering the items within. Pretty unappetizing to say the least. When I went to leave and told the gentleman at the register that I didn’t eat much because it all looked inedible, he stated that he «didn’t even know what to do»… Huh? Said he would just charge me for a California roll…$ 6. I paid & got out of there… never to return again.

One star is a compliment for this place. The selection is small and the food taste is sub par. The food items that i picked that were marked chicken were actually fish but were breaded and prepared like it were chicken! Then there’s a sign on buffet bar that states ‘any uneaten food left on plate from buffet will be charged $ 6.95 a pound’. So not worth the $ 30 they charged us.

Have only been for the lunch and sushi buffet and probably will not return. The food had obviously been sitting out. They wait until there is about a tablespoon left to refill the tray and what was out was not very good. We primarily went for the sushi and that was pretty forgettable as well. The restaurant itself feels«sticky» and gives me the skeeves. The service is good; however, so two stars for that.

Golden China is a diamond in the rough. Can’t say enough nice things about the owners and their staff — always greeted so warmly. Jeff at the Sushi bar is awesome and is a talented sushi chef! Don’t often eat anything other than sushi but the buffet looks like a great deal. Miso soup is yummy. Wishing Golden China continued success — the neighborhood wouldn’t be the same without you!

I wasn’t overly impressed. There wasn’t a huge variety of foods in the buffet. The sushi was just ok. Not sure I’ll be back.

Went here not expecting much and I got what I expected… Soup was lukewarm and the rest of the food not so hot. While it’s better than another place that shall remain nameless it won’t be on my list to hurry back to.

Decent Chinese and Sushi buffet. The Sushi is low quality, but still decent. My boys usually hit it pretty hard since it’s all-you-can-eat. The Chinese buffet is pretty good and is also all-you-can-eat. A friend of mine who migrated here from China actually recommended this place. It’s definitely American Chinese food, but it’s pretty good and the price is very good as well.

This is my favorite restaurant to go to if I have a craving for Chinese food. I ordered the Dragon Roll with unagi and cucumber, and it was delicious! The unagi tasted fresh with no bones(unlike other restaurants which are filled with them) and the whole sushi tasted great all together. I also ordered the American Dream roll with shrimp tempura & cucumber topped with spicy tuna! Seriously people, the sushi is WORTH getting. They taste better than sushi from legit Japanese restaurants. I also love the wide variety of selections in the buffet bar. It includes basil eggplant, general tso chicken, bang bang chicken(new menu item with a nice spiciness to it!), dumplings, chicken teriyaki, sesame fish, kung pao chicken, mayo shrimp(YUM), eggrolls, twice cooked pork… basically all the food you would find in a typical Chinese buffet… but better. The food is always nice and hot, as well. The dessert selection is not very big, but the few cakes at the buffet are good! My personal favorites are the mocha cakes, strawberry cakes, and orange cakes. There is usually one fresh fruit there: cantaloupes, watermelon, oranges, etc. Even when I’m eating from the buffet, I always have to order their Crispy Szechuan Beef! It basically deef fried beef tossed in a sweet delicious sauce. It’s crispy to perfection… I really cannot describe it well enough; it’s just really good! Check this place out for some GREAT sushi and GREAT Chinese food!

Ordered delivery a few days ago for my sister-in-law and I. The delivery guy was a complete jerk; he literally ran up to the house, shoved the credit card receipt in my face to sign, and then ran away without even saying«thank you.» They also only gave us 6 of each roll instead of 10 each like usual. And while my Spicy Crunchy Yellowtail was great, my SIL said her eel tasted funny and definitely wasn’t fresh so she barely ate any of it. Kind of makes me rethink my original review.

3.5 I use to really like this place when the had the Mongolian set up. Due to fire marshal reasons they had to take it down. Now they’ve put a sushi bar in it’s place. This is the first time I’ve been back since the sushi bar has been put in. Tonight’s visit was for takeout. We really were not in the mood for taking the kids out to eat. They were both cranky and pissing us off =) Anyhow, I walked and ordered some Kung Pao Chicken, Chicken and Snow Peas, Spring Rolls, and a Hot and Sour Soup. I sat back an waited for the food to arrive. As I waited I took a look at the buffet bar. They have two sections, one for the Chinese food and one for the Sushi. The Chinese food was your basic stable of Americanized favorites. Beef and Broccoli, General Tso’s, Sweet and Sour Pork and so on. The sushi side actually did impress me. I saw that the portion sizes of the fish were huge. In most sushi buffets I’ve been to, I see a little microscopic size of fish and a pound of rice. This was not the case. The Ungi was huge. I’ll have to go back and try the sushi. There are only 3 places in Leesburg that do sushi. There are also only 3 Chinese restaurants that do buffets. I think only 2 run the buffet all day the other is just for lunch. Of all the buffets I’ll say this one is the best. Well my food came about 10 minutes later and I was off. The soup wasn’t too bad. It wasn’t super watered down or not gelatinous at all. My kung pao was decent, not super sweet. They didn’t put the usually veggies in there, but there was some sort of something inside. It was bamboo but maybe a chestnut, not really sure, Even with that, it still tasted fine. I won’t complain too much about that, even though I only like mine with chicken, peanuts, and scallions. My wife said the chicken and snow peas were good. Not the best, but it was up there. The spring rolls that was a different story. The must have cooked it with those Chinese doughnuts because it was super sweet. Also it had too much cabbage in there and not any real flavor. The décor is nothing fancy. The only fancy thing is the new sushi bar and where you pay. I really wish they still had the Mongolian bar. I do like me some Mongolian. Oh well I’ll be back to try the sushi bar next time.
