The refill program sucks. I wanted to refill my Paul Mitchell Tea Tree Shampoo & Conditioner in order to «save» money. Unfortunately, ended up paying $ 20 for the shampoo & found out that I couldn’t even refill the conditioner. Now $ 20 doesn’t seem too much for shampoo, but its pretty much the same exact price as when I bought it. No 50% off there. You’re better off buying the brand new shampoo & conditioner combo offered for $ 42.

One of the main reasons why I shop at B&G Beauty Supply is their bottle refill program. It is such a great idea, too bad other places do not implement this concept. Basically this program allows you to refill selected products and receive a 50% discount IF you bring back the same container. Yes, it’s a hassle to return the empty bottle but seriously, how great is that? You’re just… green. Saving the environment and your wallet… what a deal! You may also bring in any empty shampoo bottle (Dove, Pantene, whatever) in exchange for a 25% discount on limited products.
I must admit the goods are a bit pricey, but they are well worth the investment. Currently I have the Caviar moisturizing shampoo, Mastey conditioner, Milk Shake Leave-​In Conditioner and Bamboo Anti-​Breaking Thermal Protectant Spray. All of these brands are amazing and smell wonderful! Mastey is an interesting product line because I learned from one of the B&G employees that Mastey utilizes filtered water and tap water will not cut it. Her daughter was even cured from eczema just by using the shampoo because you can also use it as a body wash. Pretty cool stuff, BUT I have only seen Mastey at B&G.
Bottom line: I rate B&G Beauty Supply five stars because they sell great products, they are helping to save the environment, and their workers are so friendly and knowledgeable. I am constantly burning my hair every day with my straightening iron so if I do not consume quality hair products, my split ends look like feathers… cawwwwww!!!
