They are not open as late as the hours say. I called and got the VM twice then called another number and the person said everyone left at 6pm. So bummed! :(

I have my manicure and pedicure done by Terri. Been seeing her a couple of years. I have a hard time with keeping on nail polish or any kind of acrylic nsils. She introduced me to gelish nails and I’m able to keep them on for 3 weeks. I leave it up to her to decide what festive surprise I’ll get to wear! It’s always perfect. They just got new chairs for the pedicures. Very relaxing with the multiple massage settings. Need I say more?

I have been going to Jill for quite a few years now, and she is the best there is. I have such unmanageable hair, the unruly oriental thick hair. My hair always feels so great after she’s done and people always comment how nice it looks. Yes she is busy, and I book her for months at a time so I know I can have the times I need. And she gives the best head massage when the conditioner is setting in your hair, I have fallen asleep!

I have been seeing Tess since I was 14. She has been doing my eyebrows for years! She is seriously the best because she knows what is best for your face shape. I started getting my hair cut from her about 4 years ago and I love it! Everytime it comes out awesome and exactly what I wanted! :)

I’ve been going to Jill since I was 12. I love her and won’t let anyone else straighten my hair using a Japanese straight perm. (The last time I did that some of it broke off. Ouch!)
She is reasonably priced and very friendly. Her haircuts are beautiful. When I went to visit another salon the stylist said wow. Nice cut — that’s when you KNOW she’s good!
JIll is always booked so as soon as I know I’m going to Hawaii I book immediately. (sometimes 3 months in advance). But it is worth the wait. Sometimes, I will have her chop off most of my hair so it can take 2 years to grow out then I get it done all over again.
Seriously. Jill is a styling Genius!

Normally just a cheap-​o haircut dude, but heard from some friends to check it out. Needed a haircut and I figured I’d splurge to see if going to someplace nice would make a huge difference in my daily «roll out of bed, brush my teeth, hair isn’t standing straight up so I’ll just go to work» routine.
I called for a haircut and got Geoff. Super friendly dude, nice to have conversation with a dude that could talk sports, had a take on the Olympics, and just other random happenings. The head massage/​shampooing combo was pretty sweet. I was joking with Geoff, «I don’t even wash my hair this much at home!» — to clarify that I am hygienic, got two shampoos during one haircut. Anyway, Geoff styled my hair pretty good — cut it in a way that I could employ my usual «roll out of bed, straight to work» technique or throw some product in there and look put together for going out. THANKS GEOFF!

Carol Otake at Genesis Salon & Spa is my Esthetician and she takes care of all my personal beauty maintenance. She is Fabulous! Her waxing is quick and pain free AND She is the only esthetician on Oahu who is certified in applying Lash Dip. I’ve had my 4^th treatment and am addicted to having naturally long, full eyelashes without the need of mascara. The salon staff is very friendly and helpful and ideally located with parking.

A beautiful salon with great stylists and services to choose from! Each stylist offers their own array of services from hair cuts, styling, color and highlights, eyebrow waxing, lash extensions, nails (gel, mani/​pedi), and more! Tess is my stylist and she always does a great job! I usually go in for a cut and color, an occasional highlight… and eyebrow waxing too.
I also bring my 4 yo son for his haircuts. We’re regulars… =)
Genesis salon is located on the 2^nd floor of the Medical arts building in Honolulu. Parking is located at the rear of the building and they validate! The interior of the salon has a classy/​modern feel. Great ambience with the sunlight streaming in from the side glass doors. Whatever you need, you’ll find it here! I would definitely recommend this salon to anyone looking for a quality salon and stylists!

I’m a definite fan of Genesis. My hair dresser rocks! I can always count on her to make me feel good when I’m done.
