Ownership is really passionate about what they do here. From the overwhelmingly awesome number of brews to the really neat beer tastings they do on a regular basis.

Pretty good beer selection for the size of the place. Apparently you need a beard and a flannel shirt to get treated like a special costumer and get shown around the beers and get samples from the tap because I got none of that treatment that I saw a few other people get. The employee that was working today was very pretentious and we felt generally unwelcome. I will buy my specialty beers elsewhere.

Awesome beer shop right in downtown Greenville behind Barley’s. I’ve been here twice now, and both times I’ve gotten some great beers I can’t find back home, and for respectable prices too. I love solid beer stores that are small in size but provide a ridiculously large and stellar beer selection. The staff definitely knows their shit too, they’re always very friendly and knowledgeable. And coincidentally both times I’ve been in here I’ve met and chatted with fellow shoppers that are current or former Athens residents… gotta love those small world moments!

This place is a gold mine for any craft beer lover! There’s huge selection of brews from anywhere you can imagine. Check out their website before hand to see what they have in stock. It makes it a lot less overwhelming. The staff is knowledgeable and very passionate about beer. They sometimes hold special releases for out of town visitors! Just ask! and show them an out of state license or something. My boyfriend was trilled to find out they had some special release beer he was searching for. He said anytime we’re driving through South Carolina… he’s definitely stopping at the Beer Exchange again!

This is a beer lover’s paradise! Beer from all over the world. The staff are very knowledgeable. The selection can be overwhelming, so it might be helpful to do some research on the Beer Advocate website before a visit. There’s another Beer Exchange in Charleston too.

Excellent selection of beer including a growler fill station with about 20 taps. Knowledgeable staff who really know their beers. Located in a narrow street/alley behind Barley’s Taproom. Worth finding.

If you’re ready to try something new, this is the place. Shelves and shelves of beers you’ve never heard of, some great options in the fridge, and a growler station with something for every beer drinker. A few weeks ago they had a kolsch on tap… you can’t beat that! If you ask, they have discount parking tickets for the nearby city lots, since parking is often an issue in that area.

The Greenville Beer Exchange is an amazing place. Small and tucked away around the corner from Barley’s on Laurens, the place is jammed with great beers. They will let you buy any beer by the bottle(in other words, make your own 6 pack). The staff is extremely helpful and knowledgeable about beer. Not only that, they offer FREE beer tastings on Thursdays from 5 – 7(awesome), and have a great growler filling station. I can’t say enough great things about this place. I love it.
