Greenville Growler Station is something new to me; part craft beer store, part bar/lounge. I haven’t seen a format like that before, and I love it. I mean, think about it — want to pick up a growler of something on tap, but you’re not sure what? Have a seat in the lounge area for a while and try a couple out! Same goes for the beers in the refrigerator, for a small fee they’ll serve you those as well. It has a really enjoyable and friendly feel in here, in no small part due to the employees who are really great to talk to, and incredibly knowledgeable about beer. The beers we tried on tap were excellent, and my only regret was not having more time to try some of the others. We don’t really know when we’ll get back to Greenville, but I can guarantee that when we do, this will be one of our first stops.

Greenville Brew Tours now starting and ending at The Growler station. Great way to spend a few hours with friends and make new ones. Nothing better than friends who appreciate good beer too. Big John is the host of the tour. His beer knowledge is priceless so we had already got our money’s worth before the first stop. Hit Quest, Brewery 85 and Thomas Creek. The sampling was tasty. The brewery tours were so interesting. I really learned so much. It was also a great way to experience another side of Greenville, rather than just sitting downtown. Highly recommend doing the tour.

Best place in Greenville to grab a craft brew! Love that you can now grab a pint and chat with Big John and Pierre while you decide on a growler. These guys know so much about beer, but they don’t turn their nose down at a novice, rather they bring you in and get you hooked as well.

My love for Growler Station is undeniable. The staff is knowledgeable and a pleasure to talk beer with. We regularly fill our growlers here, and enjoy the tastings. We even had an epic Connect Four battle while enjoying pints in house. I love that the growlers are sealed for extended freshness. The selection is always new and exciting. I highly recommend this joint!

This is our new beer place in Greenville. The staff are so nice and informative, not to mention they have beer classes and tastings all the time. It’s amazing. If you’re looking for a place to just sit down and have a delicious craft beer, this is the place. If you’re looking for more information about a certain beer, this is the place. If you’re looking for a tall glass of Bud Light… probably not your place. If you love beer and great conversation, Growler Station will be your home away from home.

A couple of friends asked us to meet them there, and upon checking out their website, I was pretty excited. This place did not disappoint me and I got to try to some interesting and fabulous beers. First off, I love that you can either sit and drink some beer there or take it home to go. I also love that you can get a growler of your favorite tap beer. While they do not serve food here, they do allow you to bring your own food to enjoy with your beer. We ordered pizza and had that with our drinks. The space is pretty comfortable, with some nice couches and chairs to lounge around in. They also really have a nice selection of beers. Feeling adventurous, I decided to ask about the Pumpking they had listed on their beer board. The owner gave it a great recommendation and thus I tried it. It was simply DELICIOUS! It was the most pumpkin-y beer I’ve ever tried, like a liquid pumpkin pie in alcoholic form, and so very smooth. It was heaven in a bottle. I also ordered the brown ale on tap, which also came highly recommended. I greatly enjoyed that as well. It was so obvious to me that the staff members really enjoyed beer. They gave some great recommendations and were so awesomely friendly. This might be my new favorite place in the whole world to get beer. As for their prices, they might be a little higher than getting beer at a grocery store, but nothing unreasonably. If you decide to drink one there, it is DEFINITELY cheaper than going to a bar. I highly, highly recommend this place! I give it 4.5 stars.

My husband and I stumbled upon the Growler Station by dumb luck, if you are in the Greenville area, you should consider this spot a must-visit destination. The beer selection, both on tap and by the bottle, is extensive, and the staff is extremely helpful and knowledgeable and enthusiastic about their work. Typical growler joints do not serve beer in house, but this one DOES! Even if you don’t love beer, they can hook you up with beers unlike anything you have imagined. Of course, they do sell growlers to-go, and their selection changes consistently(so says the staff). Their bottling process seals the beer to keep it fresh for MONTHS, not days like other growler places. The beer could have been just so-so(but it was excellent), and I still would have giving this place four stars(instead of the five I offer enthusiastically) because of the staff and ambiance. We were lucky to be there on a rainy afternoon, so there wasn’t a crowd at all. The proprietor, Pierre, was able to give us a little extra attention — so much so that he even taught us how to play Cribbage, which was lots of fun. The ambiance is very cozy and casual, with comfortable chairs and couches, and you can easily find a board game to play. It’s within walking distance to Fluor Field. My only caution is that if you go before a game, be prepared to be deeply disappointed in the beer at the game! I can’t imagine that we’ll ever be in Greenville again without making our way to the Growler Station.
