I go out like maybe twice a year LOLOLOL. Pour was on my adventure list both times this year. This past Friday was my most recent visit. A coworker, new to the area, was looking for a little adventure downtown Greenville. We needed a little late night excitement after dinner This little place is very convenient and fit the bill. The front bar is a cozy Irish themed pub with great staff(I really liked the bartender, she was super sweet/funny.(I did not get to eat there, but they serve food too) Behind the pub is an awesome dance club with live dj and modern appearance. The music was good and so were the drinks :-). The first time I visited I did champagne with a booth thing. All I can say is, it was very fun, but I spent nearly $ 500 that night LOLOLOLOL(and that was just me, who knows how much everyone else spent at my booth). Since it was a celebration and the sparkly fireworks were awesome I will not complain. It was nice having the booth to play at. I think the next time I head that way, I will visit the Comedy Zone first and then walk down to Pour to play again. :-)

So for anyone that use to frequent Downtown Greenville years ago, this is the former 221. Knowing this I walked in with high expectations. Walking in, there is a low key bar with several tables and booths. Really? First disappointment of the night. But I get it. This section is really set up more like a restaurant. There was a set of double doors with smoke, flashing lights and the bass of what sounded like decent music coming from them. Of course Greenville County’s finest was in uniform ready to open the doors for us and remind us to drink responsibly. Wow! First impression was amazing. They have a concierge set up which had a line so I didn’t even bother. But I can still see 221 in this place. They had 2 lines of booths that offered bottle service. The booths seat about 10 people each and we were told they go for high dollar. Since I couldn’t confirm the amount, I’ll leave it for an updated review. But really? We are in Greenville. Not Vegas and not New York. Seemed like a stretch for me. The dance floor was inconveniently located between the set of booths. No room guys but the DJ was on point! The bar offered a ton of things that others don’t offer in downtown with great pricing. But the bartenders need to focus a little more on getting drinks to the customers and less with socializing with high school friends and trying new flairs. The location is great. The setup of this place is great and the staff definitely got 5 stars! But there were just too many things that weren’t amazing about this place. I’ll definitely try again soon and update.
