Probably would not have opted to go in on my own, however, we came here the other day just to try something new. The inside was nothing special, and the downstairs area smells like basement. But, when the food came, it was unbelievable how good it was! Everything was good –the mushroom toast, Cali rolls, chicken rolls, & salad. .. but the egg drop soup was AMAZING! Overall, I guess my recommendation would be to sit outside if you come here on a nice day, because you’re not missing anything on the inside. And, order the egg drop soup.

Awkward… no tuna, no crab, no octopus and no ginger ! Couldn’t order half of the menu. Super JV. Nice folks and good enough bar, but get your junk together — you are a sushi bar…

Loved the fresh rolls! The daily specials make it more reasonable to eat here. It is a bit pricey. The California roll special was YUM!

Defiantly an interesting Sushi place. A split level restaurant with a nice entrance, ok bar area and just odd upstairs. The whole place looks like it is either old and not kept up or just cheaply put together to make it look hip, modern, and chick. We ate in the bar so that we could have some privacy and not be next to the front door. Okay, so I lived in south beach and this was a cheep looking version of a sobe bar fully stocked with techno music, changing color light under the bar and well drink specials all week long. the waitress was nice and helpful but no professionalism at all! They have an in house DJ! Oh wait never mind it’s just the sushi chef listening to headphones on while he «spins» sushi? The sushi was good but a bit over priced. It must be the main st. taxes. Next time we are in Greenville we will try a different place.

OUTSTANDINGHIBACHIANDFRIENDLYBARSTAFF! The atmosphere is comfortable and relaxed, but busy enough so it isn’t quiet or slow. Great place to bring a date for a drink or dinner OR just to get a healthy/late-night bite because they have way more than regular unhealthy bar food after 10. Owners are sweet people and genuinely care.

I really enjoyed the specialty rolls. Nothing spectacular. Great stop to get some good rolls. A bit pricey for what your actually getting.

Not the typical sushi place I’d visit but when I saw a Group-on available, I figured we’d give it a shot. Here’s my experience in a nutshell: 1) This place is a bar. Not like an Applebee’s that is a resteraunt with a bar; it’s a bar. It’s not a great place for kids. I actually wouldn’t bring my kid here for fear of being turned away. 2) The sushi was nothing special. I swear I saw a Caucasian individual making my sushi. Caucasian and sushi don’t seem to go together well. The sushi tasted just alright. 3) The music being played over the speakers was a bit odd. Most sushi joints play Asian-oriented music to set a total atmosphere. The music we heard took us back to conversations about Warped Tour and Ozzfest. I swear I heard Story of The Year playing in the place. Not bad but not amazing. I know of at least two other sushi joints on Main St so it may be a while before we visit here again. However, if you ever see the Group-on for this place, paying $ 25 for $ 40 worth of food is a pretty good deal.

Vaughn and Tara at Miso’s are fabulous. Highly recommended. Told Vaughn we needed another drink before happy hour ended and he got it for us even though it was after 7 when he went to ring it in. Go here for friendly fast service

If I could give 4.5 stars I would. Love this place, friendly, great music, drinks are on the cheaper side. I’ve had great food here like the shrimp tacos and the Gandalf roll and I’ve also had a couple ‘so-so’ sushi rolls so that’s why just four stars. One of places that it just depends on what you order.

Can’t say enough about this restaurant /bar! From the moment we walked in we were welcomed and treated like family! The bartender Josh G was beyond amazing. From the recommendations of food to drinks nothing disappointed. I would come visit and solely recommend this for anyone looking to have a great time and awesome food! Only thing that would have made it better is if he took his shirt off :) just kidding he had an awesome t-shirt on!!! Keep up the great work and service and we can’t wait for another night out at Miso on Main !!!

The service here is good, the staff seemed really friendly. The food came out relatively quickly which is always nice to not have to wait when you are super hungry. Now down to the food, let’s just say I’ve had way better sushi than this place has to offer and I personally love sushi so to look at a sushi menu and see nothing on it that draws my attention should have been a tell all sign. We order the Tuna Tataki, Gandolf and fire cracker, while it was ok, it was definitely subpar for a sushi restaurant and reminded me of the sushi that you would get at a buffet line. If you are not a huge sushi fan and want a place that has good happy hour prices then this would be the place to go.

I really like MIso’s. I go downstairs in the bar, grab a table, and order appetizers. There’s a good selection and they’re very tasty. Meghan was my server and she was very professional and pleasant. What I like is the variety of selection and the non-typical approach to Japanese/Sushi type menu. Give it a try and form your own opinion, and don’t put my credibility behind some of the ultra-negative reviews.

Nice chic atmosphere and clean. Window side seating allows you to have a great meal with great views. The mushroom toast was delicious and was pleasantly surprised how well the flavors of the fried egg, marinated mushrooms and sauce compliment each other. The fish nachos were very refreshing and crunchy tasty! The chef went out of his way to make us sushi rolls that were not on the menu. They were fresh and healthy large rolls. Only downside is I love white sauce with my sushi but they don’t offer white sauce. They have something similar but it wasn’t the same.

FOOD: Great food! only complaint was the rice for the sushi. tasted cheap and not typical sushi rice. Jalepeno poppers with spicy tuna appetizer was great! AMBIANCE: Service was below average and the music was terrible!!! Middle school emo pandora perhaps? Also, we were the only 2 people in the restaurant for the majority of the meal.

I wanted to like it but starting with cold Miso soup and an inexperienced server didn’t help. The rolls were average quality and average size but a bit pricy. There is tough competition on Main St. for food so I wish them luck. If I do stop back in, it would be for the bar.

The worst sushi in Greenville. One roll had some weird, liquid smoke flavor. Another had so much tobiko I almost choked on it. Though she was very sweet, our server had no clue about anything. She didn’t know the wines, which roll was what, etc. Who puts French Toast on a sushi menu, anyhow?

Untrained(no knowledge of menu) service staff, bad wine list, sushi prep area(looks like a dark little DJ booth) and tired old restaurant. Greenville is a tough market to rise up and be great but this place fails at all levels on the being great scale. The menu has about 20 sushi rolls and various other things that don’t seem to fit the concept like jalapeño poppers. I think this can be summed up as amateur hour comes to Main Street. Food sucks

A wonderful sushi experience. Wonderfully crafted and presented. A step above any I’ve had as far as fresh, flavorful ingredients. Josh was an excellent server. A nice surprise when the executive chef Von brought a sample of Japanese bar-b-que for us to try. Delicious. Will definitely be returning here.

So glad we gave Miso’s a chance. Great food(had three different sushi rolls-all good), GREAT chill ambience, and absolutely great staff. We will definitely be back soon.
