Very knowledgable staff when It comes to the selection. Spacious aisles and well/​stocked shelves. The cash price labels, however, only refers to a special discount store card so tourists are out of luck benefitting from special pricing. I guess I support the local economy this way.

One of the most varied liquor stores ever visited. They have a wide selection if spirits, cigars and other items. Was looking for a store that had a good selection of rum, and found this place in Galveston. This is a large store and a staff that is very knowledgable of the various liquors sold. I had a young employee direct me to the rum and was able to intelligently discuss the merits and specifics of the different varieties of rum. It appeared that he had to have some training to make him that smart, because at his ping age he couldn’t have tried that many brands. I found some items that I could not find elsewhere. Great place just to roam around and see a wide variety of products.

They’ve got what you need, but the workers aren’t knowledgeable. I asked where a wine opener was and she had no clue. They do have a pretty decent selection of alcohol though. So, gotta give it 3 stars based on that.

This place is so cute! I only wish we had one here in Las Vegas! Granted we do have something similar but it’s not the same! This place is massive but at the same time it’s a massive (boutique) supermarket, where part of the market is set up with all fine foods that pairs well with all the wine, spirits and beers that they offer!
Of course being in the south, everyone was friendly and polite! Of course if you pay cash, you save 5% off the total check! Should I run across another Spec’s, rather in Galveston or else where, they have my business for sure! And this time, I will be shopping for ALL!

Maybe I’m just use to the Spec’s that’s on Smith street because this one did not do it for me. The one thing that I wanted which was the peppered salami they didn’t have. They had everything else but a meat section. This store also lacks a bit of personality but maybe it’s the size and the lack of people that were in at the time I was there. Even the workers seemed as if they didn’t want to be there.

They dropped the ball on our delivery for our daughter’s wedding reception. They did not deliver our entire order. Really put a damper on things when there was no red wine to go with our dinner. The keg of beer was not very cold either. They just dropped the order off and left. Didn’t ask to speak to anyone, no delivery receipt to sign… very poor management. All they did to make up for this is refund the $ 20 delivery fee. Your daughter’s wedding reception is kinda a big deal.

Although it may put some mom & pop liquor stores out of business, it does have an extensive collection and the price is right. This place is a warehouse. Lots of specialty liquors, wine, and even a specialty foods section. You’ll be able to find what you need here.

This place is amazing!
We only go here for our liquor, wine, and beer needs. They have so much of a selection of EVERYTHING. They even have some food and an excellent cheese selection.
The people working here are always super helpful and friendly. They ask us if they can help us find anything every time we are here.
Sign up for the members key card. There is also a 5% discount for paying with cash.
